487  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: October 23, 2017, 12:02:40 AM
It is better to save your bitcoins. By doing this you will actually feel like you're investing in Bitcoin too because you will see it rise in value year after year. So it is definitely better to save.

''saving bitcoins'' is investing mate. It's not like you are saving euros to exchange them for dollars later on, bitcoin is more like gold or stocks than currency, so you would be investing, not really saving money.
Saving bitcoins has choose both (Invest and Saving).   Smiley
That's why, we must save bitcoin for the future from now. 'Cause bitcoins have a good potential and great of prospect.

It's not both, it's just investing, you are not saving money if your ''money'' loses value in a instant, tomorrow you could lose thousands of dollars thanks to volatility so I disagree on that.
488  Economy / Economics / Re: Catalonia Referendum Pushes Bitcoin Prices Above $4400 on: October 23, 2017, 12:01:46 AM
Maybe the corrupt catalonians politics are pushing BTC price up.  Grin

Part of this independence trial is just to save some corrupt politics from the punishment by spanish laws. Politics that were stealing from contracts of statal constructions. Unfortunatelly Bitcoin is an easy way to make this money disappear...

Maybe. People of Spain marked top 5 peoples in a country engaged in Bitcoin.

Wow, that's a lot!

I'll try to do a better job explaining how Catalonia and bitcoin could be related.

There are many threads in these forums discussing banks. Most would likely agree banks desire centralized one world governments. This is the reason why star trek has a centralized federation of planets. To give people the idea that a centralized socialist state will someday conquer war, poverty, racism & other evils.

Catalonia and the UK moving towards independence and decentralized government flies in the face of the goals bankers wish to accomplish. Brexit and Catalonia becoming independent would reduce the influence central banks have in the world. It reduces the degree to which governments of the world are centralized, increasing bitcoin's chances of success as bitcoin has better chances of surviving in a world of independent states than it does a centralized one world government run by central banks.

I feel like there's a better way to break this topic down. I'm just not seeing it right now.

But if Catalonia becomes independent and the neo-communists/socialists take it (what has a great chance to happen), it won't be good for Bitcoin, for people who live/work there and for their individual choices. It will just be good for the command, the parasites who sell the false idea of equality, love, mutual respect and all other lies these people like to tell to conquer lands and slave nations.

Bitcoin wouldn't have any chance on a society like this.

I disagree, you see in countries that experience economic restrictions or war (ie if a local geography such as Catalonia is targeted), it seems to fuel more adoption to Bitcoin. Look at the already high rates of Bitcoin trades in Spain. Look at Bitcoin adoption in Venezuela, in Nigeria, in India, Argentina.

Heck, even in USA, as the stock market has had tiny falls, you see something like this:

After the initial reaction of riotpolice forces, Catalonian people might as well go more nuts on bitcoin to drain the violent establishment of its systemic resources.

Bitcoin is GLOBALLY held and sought after by people in almost every country - see global trade data by country or see this list:

Yep plus cataluña has been the first here in spain to have bitcoin atm's so they are definitely ready to use bitcoin and it is obviously showing. I do think that independence wont actually happen though.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why people are sharing tips? on: October 22, 2017, 11:18:58 PM
It seems quite strange actually, if you can really win long term then why not just profit yourself, you can get infinitely rich. It's like those people who claim they have a winning strategy on the roulette and try to sell it, why not use it yourself if it works?

491  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin now the strongest currency in the world? on: October 22, 2017, 11:13:05 PM
Until now October 23,2017, it still the strongest currency ever. With all its ups and downs, critics, bashers and unbelievers, bitcoin is still strong and soaring.

In terms of what, tho? You are obviously talking about the price but what about usage, bitcoin doesn't even come close to euros or dollars, barely anyone uses bitcoin to buy things compared to other normal currencies. As a currency bitcoin is just really not used much.
492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: October 22, 2017, 11:10:33 PM
I won a good amount in gambling one day but instead of withdrawing my profits I continue to gamble hoping to win more but at the end of the day I lost everything and that was my worst mistake but I learned from it and now as soon as I win stop to gamble.

As soon as you win what? As soon as you win 1 satoshi, you stop? As soon as you win 0.01 bitcoins you stop? If so, what is the point if the next day you are going to gamble too, stopping one day just to continue another is not really stopping.
493  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: October 22, 2017, 11:09:23 PM
It not easy to encourage local business owner to accept bitcoin because most of the bitcoin network base on the internet and some of the local business owner are not educative or surfing the internet.  Therefore, if you want to encourage a local business person make sure he/she is education, have an internet and provide him/her the right article to read so the business owner will understand the benefit in accepting bitcoin.
There is no doubt to deny this fact that it is not an easy task to convince and encourage the ones sitting in the local market that they should accept bitcoins. Most of the investors and traders sitting in the local market are unaware of this concept of digital currency.

We need to tell them about bitcoin and other digital currencies and after that, we need to tell them what all wonders this bitcoin can bring.

But why would they accept bitcoin, there is no real benefit to them, they would have to be very aware of the price. Imagine you get paid in bitcoins at your store and you get 2 bitcoins that month, and you find out that bitcoin is now worth 1000$ less, you have to instantly sell your bitcoins and pay more fees, there is no benefit for stores.
494  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io 💰 Weekly offers! ⚽ on: October 22, 2017, 09:25:18 PM
Is this site legit or what is going on with the red trust because I'm looking for a good sports bet site since they closed directbet but I can't really seem to find one as good and this one looks good but I'm little bit discouraged by the red trust, any insights on that?
495  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin now the strongest currency in the world? on: October 22, 2017, 09:21:55 PM
Compared to the currency values, yes, bitcoin is the strongest currency in the world as of now. Need to still wait and see how much the growth is going to be in the future as bitcoin gold is going to be introduced. Many good things happened to many because of bitcoins.

What do you mean compared to currency values. Currencies have values in themselves. Normal people don't care if their euros are worth more dollars or not, you are still buying everything with euros. Euros have value because they are used pretty much forcefully in many countries.
496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: October 22, 2017, 09:19:16 PM
Not really knowing the odds of the games you play. 99% of people don't really know what is going on with the different gambling games, that's why you see so many people playing slots even though they are the worst with extremely bad odds, blackjack and others are far better but still disadvantageous at the end.

Lol...I played slots games couple times in the past but to be honest I played it because I just curious about such games. As you said, 99% of people who plays it don't really know what's going on, I am maybe one of them. All I knew about the game at that time was just spin and spin. I even don't know how much the minimum bet for each spin was.

That's why they also have so many slots with so many lights and huge prizes to attract people to them. They would win money regardless of people playing slots or not but the more slots they play the faster and better for them, if everyone was playing only games like blackjack the casino would win less money.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Bitcoin Cash on: October 22, 2017, 09:16:49 PM
Bitcoin Cash was a good addition to my bitcoins Cool

Sure but now? What's the point of it, it was artificially pumped to like 900$ and then dropped so fast to like 300$ and now it can't even reach 400$ even tho, bitcoin went from 4000$ to almost 6000$

Bitcoin cash is trash, there is no real support by anyone for it, if you want an altcoin, use litecoin or ethereum
Given the situation of hard forks in near future, difference in various developer caps are showing up. Many are believing that the bitcoin cash might be the nearest to bitcoin after hardfork. By nearest to bitcoin mean what satoshi intended, described in his whitepaper. It is true that bitcoin has been pumped and dumped so that many were left high and dry. However if you see the progress so far, bitcoin cash has not faded away as failed project or fake one. bitcoin cash is still in top 5 crypto currency from market capital perspective.
Right now there is too much confusion considering what would happen after the hard fork. People need to be very careful during this period of bitcoin forking and time after that.

You might as well just use other alt coins instead of bitcoin cash. It's only on the top because a lot of people got bitcoin cash for free. I don't think market capital means much and it can change drastically in days, even hours. I personally think that hard forks are eventually going to fuck bitcoin for good, it's annoying to have to pay attention to them every few months it seems, eventually people will switch to something else, as you said but I doubt it's bitcoin cash.
498  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin now the strongest currency in the world? on: October 22, 2017, 05:50:26 PM
I say that bitcoin is now strongest currency in online world.
Yes I agree with you bitcoin is now one of the strong currency in world and day by day it’s going to do progress recently [Suspicious link removed]ived to Thailand also demand of bitcoin is now increase so when the demand of anything become increase the price and value are become increase automatically so in future the price will go more high than ever.
Yes there is no doubt that bitcoin is one of the strong currency around the world with high price because bitcoin in now legal in some countries and in some countries bitcoin have now a credit card so day by day bitcoin is going to provide facilities to his users .

Strong investment option but definitely not strong currency. Barely anyone uses bitcoin as currency compared to euros or dollars, bitcoin has meaningless transactions when it comes to buying real stuff compared to other currencies.
499  Economy / Gambling / Re: Someone just converted 0.05 BTC to 0.75 BTC on chain-bet.com on: October 22, 2017, 05:48:04 PM
What is the point of these posts? It seems to me like free publicity to the site if OP is not an employee already. For that win there are 100 people losing money, even the guy who won the 0.75 could have lost it already, this is just a bait for people to bet.
500  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: October 22, 2017, 05:45:50 PM
It matters for speculators, it wont matter when everyone starts using it as what it is, currency. 99.99% of bitcoin holders are speculators and investors, they do not use bitcoin as currency like you use euros or dollars, that's why the price keeps jumping and falling, when everyone uses it as real money, no one will care how much 1 bitcoin is compared to 1 euro just like you don't care how much a dollar is compared to an euro if you live in the united states. You buy stuff without asking, hey what is the dollar/euro ratio?
