1121  Other / Meta / Re: Is there any way to report a whole thread? on: July 24, 2015, 08:49:33 AM
Some one needs a positive outlet for their OCD.

Uhm...what? It's a valid question and point in all fairness, even though I think that the thread in question shouldn't be deleted as it has provoked a discussion of some sorts...someone stating that they think a thread should be deleted doesn't mean that they have OCD.

I mean, that's the problem, i can't report the thread itself because the question is valid is just the users who keep answering with the same thing over and over again what bothers me and knowing this forum does care a lot about spam and useless posts i just wanted to know if maybe, locking the thread would be an option.
1122  Other / Meta / Re: What if there's a scam website in my signature? on: July 23, 2015, 01:51:12 PM
I don't think you would get any negative ratings, i mean recently a staff member was participating in a signature or avatar campaign promoting a scam site and nothing happened to him so nothing should happen to you.

He was probably in a default trust list so if there are some people talking shit about him he would give them negative trust for false accusation :/

There were 2 big differences in that case: first it wasn't sure it was a scam, there were just strong suspicious; and he stopped promoting it quite soon after a thread was opened and he read people's opinions. So we can't really compare your question with that case.

If you promote a scam and keep promoting it while knowing for sure it is a scam of course you would deserve negative trust and you would get it. Someone who knowingly  helps anyone to scam in any way and gets money to do so is definitely untrustworthy.

Lmao, there are other differences as well, he is a STAFF member and he only stopped promoting it because he was going to get paid other amount than the first one he thought, you can even read that in the thread so as i said if this guy gets negative trust rating, dserrano should too.

Honestly i think it would be a great feature, can't say anything else, it would be great, maybe with the new forum coming up this could happen?
1125  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Funtotry alt of williamj on: July 22, 2015, 05:29:20 PM
I am williamj2543
It's not hard to figure out.
I have posted my address 1j254. Posted my skype name to countless people.
I bought an alt because of the negative trust I received on my other account. I had no intention to scam and I still don't. I haven't scammed anyone on my new account and I never was planning to.

So you've made restitution to those you scammed with your other account?
I sound like a broken record but I didn't scam anyone with my other account. My partner took the funds and ran while I was asleep, then in the morning I wake up, make a post about it, then I get the blame Tongue
I also repaid all the bitcoins I had to the victims, 2.5 btc I paid out.
You can believe me or not, but the proof that moreia (the partner) is a serial scammer is there, he has tried so many other scams since then.

Did you really pay everything you owed to? If so i will remove my rating although badbear has tagged you already so it wont make much of a difference.
1126  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for traders for pump and dump group on: July 22, 2015, 03:46:23 PM
Guys check this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1131135.0

Op is a scammer, do not engage in any business with him, i just found out this as well.
Interesting. Would he be able to scam Bitcoin from me with this group? I thought that this group would be using our own accounts and posting our own trades and such, so our Bitcoin is never at risk except from the trades that we do. Is this correct? If my money is not at risk of being stolen by funtotry, then I will remain in this group.

Why would you remain in a group with someone that is a scammer? The group was pretty useless anyways, whats the point of having a pump and dump group with, what? 5 bitcoins in total, what the heck are you going to pump with that, who knows what op's real intentions were.
1127  Other / Meta / Re: Is there any way to report a whole thread? on: July 22, 2015, 03:39:19 PM
I guess you would report one comment that is the archetype of the replies to the thread and note in the report message that the rest of the thread is remove worthy too.
To be honest, I'm not sure about the extent to which they will be removed. Most questions are answered in that manner, with no original thought after the first page.

A possible solution could be (another) Gambling sub-forum dedicated to discussing gambling rather than announcements. It used to be better when the Gambling forum would serve as a catalogue of the different gambling sites rather than cluttered with sports picks (whose only replies are "thanks for the picks", "why did you pick wrong !?") and answers to  questions like the one you've shown.

Maybe that would be a good idea, something like gambling announcements and gambling discussion and strategies, still that won't be really helpful in this matter where people keep replying the same things over and over again.
1128  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: online sellers on: July 22, 2015, 02:44:34 PM
Quick question guys,

Why do you sell/buy btc apart from exchanges and stuff.. do you make small profits trying to flip them?

Few reasons, avoiding fees, charging fees to make a benefit for yourself, it may be easier for someone to buy a huge amount of altcoins in here than on an exchange, of course it would depend on the exchange and the volume of the altcoin, generally i dont think there is any benefit to trade here instead of on exchanges unless yu are trading a really big amount.
1129  Other / Meta / Is there any way to report a whole thread? on: July 22, 2015, 02:19:15 PM
Threads like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1123698.0

Are extremely annoying, the first page has all the answers op needed there is absolutely no need for the other 5 and counting pages of trash comments saying the same thing over and over again, its quite annoying and im not going to report each post to mods, how can i get a mod to lock the whole thread?
I mean do you guys think that's ok?
1130  Other / Meta / Re: How to contact tomatocage on: July 22, 2015, 01:07:17 PM
Even if he did use a bot in a chat room it's not really a scam is it?
I dunno, I'm out......

I just think this needs resolving. Could Quickseller at least change his trust on TSP to neutral? It's gone on too long.
Shake hands & move on?

Why would quickseller change his negative trust? Using a bot is not a scam or a crime, using a bot to SCAM its a scam, he broke the rules of that specific site to gain profit, its like using a bot to claim from the same faucet without waiting the necessary period of time, thats scamming the site's owner.
1131  Other / Meta / Re: Vote Now: Should bitcointalk introduce mobile app of this forum ? on: July 22, 2015, 01:05:02 PM
Mobile apps always beat mobile version of a site any time. Sometimes, mobile version of sites always give me headache when some weird shit appears.

That might be true with some sites but have you tried using the forum on mobile? Everything works perfectly fine, no weird shit appears and you can just zoom in when you have problems touching something. There is no need for a mobile app.
1132  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Funtotry alt of williamj on: July 22, 2015, 09:53:16 AM
i dont think theres that much of a need for a mod/admin to confirm that, if badbear already tagged him as a probably alt, theres probable cause for him to think so. the skype id is just additional proof of this.

I just wanted to provide proof that he is 100% alt of williamj, i didn't know william was a scammer and i didnt recognize the name when i added him to skype but now that badbear tagged him, thankfully, i can stop doing anything with that guy, who knows what he was trying to do.
1133  Other / Meta / Re: Vote Now: Should bitcointalk introduce mobile app of this forum ? on: July 22, 2015, 09:37:39 AM
I think an app is a waste of time. We only need a mobile friendly website.

Having to install an app just for bitcointalk.org and having to keep it regularly updated is a huge waste of time. What can a forum app do that we couldn't do in the browser? seems like a huge waste of everyones time to me, and would likely introduce security issues too. There are still thousands of apps using SSL implementations that are vulnerable to heartbleed and the other recent SSL-related exploits. It is probably more expensive to build an app then it is to build a mobile site, I just don't get it.

Is the app going to have proxy support? what about people who live in China and have to use Tor to evade the GFW? is it going to be tested with Tor to make sure it doesn't have any obvious leaks? what happens when you click a link to bitcointalk.org somewhere else, will the app open the thread? will bitcointalk.org still be usable in a browser on a phone? will it work on Android devices that do not have a Google API license etc etc?

I can't believe they plan to build in app, IMO that is a very dumb idea and waste of money and will most likely cause a lot of problems.

The forum is already mobile friendly, i personally use it a lot on my mobile and i have absolutely no problems with it, everything works fine, you can tap on anything without problems, so this is indeed a waste of time.

This user : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=181802

Is an alt of williamj, i noticed that badbear tagged him as a probable alt, well i know for a fact he is indeed that alt, he recently made a thread in project development asking people to make a pump and dump group, i added him on skype, his skype is williamj2543, same username as his last account here, lets be honest that can't be a coincidence.

1136  Economy / Gambling / Re: Good and relatively safe dice strategy? on: July 22, 2015, 09:04:28 AM
Why is this thread keep popping into my updated topics? Page 1 has all the answers needed there is no point in keeping this discussion.
1137  Other / Meta / Re: Please unlock busminer account on: July 21, 2015, 06:33:43 PM
what am I doing wrong? I do not write on the forum nowhere else except this topic

Nice try on deleting the posts that you made outside this section, you do know that the admin can recover them right? Anyways it does not matter since you will not be unbanned as already stated before.
1138  Other / Meta / Re: How to contact tomatocage on: July 21, 2015, 06:29:06 PM
Wow this is really sad that he is in the default list again . It is definitely true that he doesn't do things based on whats real and whats not but heavily lets his ego influence his decisions.
I am sure TC would have read this thread by now , but no idea why he chose to ignore it .

I know I have repeatedly pointed this out but you should also make him aware of how he puts trust on 2 exactly similar cases.  pagalwana , proved earlier to be an alt account of a scammer was given as collateral for a loan . Quickseller initially added a negative trust to the account  . Later that person who got the account asked Quickseller to act as an escrow for the sale of the account and just because Quickseller was getting 1$ for the trade he agreed and removed his negative trust. I actually had an exactly same case where I purchased the account from the person who initially gave the loan . The trust got added just as the same way after 2 months but just because I didn't use QS as an escrow and criticized his trust , he didn't care about the case after that. I believe its definitely not right to have him in the default list .

Why it does not surprise me that people who is against quickseller is 99% marked red by him? You, in this case, you have other neutral ratings by highly trusted members as well, why would tomatocage care about this thread? Nothing said here did in any way prove that quickseller has been giving bad ratings constantly.
1139  Other / Meta / Re: How much is www.bitcointalk.org worth ? on: July 21, 2015, 06:23:33 PM
If someone bought the forum i would probably stop using it or start using it with caution, the buyer could have malicious intents and he could do a lot of bad things if he was in control of this forum
1140  Other / Meta / Re: How to contact tomatocage on: July 21, 2015, 12:23:16 PM
TC will read this thread and if he wishes, he'll reply. I don't mind QS being in the Default Trust list but am saddened by the fact he sells DT accounts which I hope doesn't go in wrong hands. Selling DT accounts is not only risky but unethical.

erm, as far as i know he stopped selling any accounts at all, you can even see it in his other account ACCTseller, his personal message says so. Im sure he will confirm.

Then why he is still making bids for accounts ?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1127705.msg11913549#msg11913549

And you should say: he stopped selling accounts using his known alts.

I meant accounts on default trust, he stopped selling them, probably because he doesnt have any more, i thought he stopped selling any kind of accounts but i don't know, that's why i said i was waiting for him to confirm.
