961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: November 14, 2015, 11:53:38 AM
I want to suggest you to stop immediately and leave this dirty hobby because it is dangerous if you are depended from it.

No shit, that's what's he is trying to do, didn't you read OP or the title?

hi

i am getting addicted to gambling. And i am loosing a lot of money.I am loosing what i can't afford to lose.its sad that when you start loosing its just busted me again and again.at last i gamble for fun but now when i am getting addicted i am loosing too much.

Any suggestions are welcome  Smiley

Regards

If you can make this thread, i think you are not really got addicted in gambling. Because you already know, "being addicted in gambling is bad habit, and that habit can make yourself broke". Some gambling owner also do not want to make their members got addicted like crazy people. and give all their hard earned money to play again and again.

Anyway, i will share my own way to stop myself from being too addicted in gambling.
Make a funny bet on gambling.
Bet for 0.0000 0001 BTC and pay 0.0001 for transaction fee  Grin

Sometimes it got rejected from some gambling site, lol

Don't think because someone knows their addiction is bad would help them, every smoker knows smoking is bad and if you ask them they will usually tell you not to smoke because it's bad yet they do it.

I'm confused. Reputation is within meta, but doesn't show up as a subforum of meta?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1247841.0

He was reading this thread.

It's odd, I've never had this happen to me myself. I'd assume something is causing whatever is querying to grab the posts for the thread to hiccup every once in an odd while and that would be why you occasionally see no posts. Odd there's no error to show what's happening, but that isn't that uncommon.

See if you can inspect element next time that happens to you so you can see if an error was generated on your side or if it was entirely server-side.

I will if it happens again but someone else said it happened to him too so I doubt its only on my side, it also happened when viewing someone's profile.
963  Economy / Gambling / Re: casino should donate funds to charity? on: November 14, 2015, 10:25:59 AM
There is no difference between casino (gambling) and other service industry. There is no request for filming, cinema, and club, to donate their earnings.
Gambling industry  provides job opportunities to the society, they already pay large amount of tax and contribute to  whole society.
We do not have the rights to ask them to donate funds to charity. The government should use the tax from gambling industry properly.

Well that's debatible, online bitcoin casinos are mostly not regulated and they do not pay taxes. They are online which means they dont really provide many job opportunities either and you can argue that casinos ruin some people's life so you should reconsider your point.
964  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low or sell high. What is better? on: November 14, 2015, 09:49:51 AM
But you can buy high and sell higher, or sell low and buy lower also.

Didn't read the thread so I have no idea if this was pointed out earlier or not.

Either way you write it you are still buying for less and selling for more if you get a return on your investment so the question is really null and void.

Question did not pretend to be very trandescent. Just... if you have a superpower to choose from, Which one will you prefer?

A) To be able to always guess daily max (ability to sell high)

B) To be able to always guess daily min (ability to buy low)

Which one will you choose and why?

There have been lots of interesting responses discussing about this IMO. Smiley.

Well, assuming that you would know that a coin would be at $100 in the morning and $200 at night then I would buy low and then sell it for higher when the price meets the daily high.

Limiting it to only one day makes it tougher as Day 2 the Daily Min might be the Daily Max for the previous day and it would be a lost opportunity.

To add a realistic example,

Coin A is at 0.00000099 and you know someone is going to crash it down that day then you would want to sell it as soon as possible and then rebuy again when it gets lower.

But you can only pick one, you cant know the low and the high at the same time. Of course if you knew both you would be a millionaire by now.

I don't think there is much difference between able to guess the high or the low.

Lahvacekmoney / https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=548993 (Yobit signature)

His posts are really low quality + he usually spams on the ''bibinka word game'' in the off-topic section.

ilvbtc / https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=357163 (Yobit signature)

Spams on ''investor based games'' and ''games and rounds'' sections.

clipman77 / https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=392163 (Yobit signature)

Spams on ''investor based games'' and his local language.

I am no longer involved in the company's signature.

Does it actually matter whether you are using the signature or not? Look at this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1212229.60 You literally spam that shit 4-5 times a day on the same thread which is not only spam but against the rules since you are not supposed to bump a thread more than once per day.
967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security risks with using Windows 10 on: November 14, 2015, 09:33:01 AM
Windows 10 has the same privacy issues than all windows versions, most people use it so the hackers will closely look at their security vulnerabilities and Microsoft can install and see everything you do and have if they want to.

Plus Windows 10 is a new OS, so there are plenty of vulnerabilities still to be discovered and people say it is crappy even for Microsoft standards(I never tested myself, though)
It doesn't really add any particular new features aswell. in my honest opinion, the receive by the public has been as bad as vistas launch was. They even said that windows 10 will be the final product in this line and they wont be making any more windows products. They'll just keep upgrading windows 10 into oblivion. Tbh they haven't really added any noticeable features that are game changing since xp. Mostly UI changes into a more modern style. That's just my two bits.

Yes exactly, they could have, instead, upgraded windows 7 to something better because windows 10 not only comes with bugs and other problems but also has a pretty shit interface, in my opinion. It happens with a lot of things these days, like iphones, iphone 5 and 6 have almost nothing new. They just do it for the money.
968  Economy / Gambling / Re: casino should donate funds to charity? on: November 14, 2015, 09:31:04 AM
The idea is good but most of them wont do it, they would have done it by now if they wanted. How many billionaires actually donate to charities? Not too many, there are a few that donate a lot but there are others that donate absolutly nothing and they have billions of dollars.
969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: November 14, 2015, 09:28:36 AM
The only way to stay away from any addiction is to stop and never come back, there are no miracle ways of doing it, talk to anyone that has stopped smoking and he would tell you that the only way is to stop by yourself, your inner motivation is what can help you not the external one.
970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security risks with using Windows 10 on: November 13, 2015, 10:54:28 PM
in before Microsoft steals millions of wallets worth half a billion dollars. Would not be that bad of a business plan. Big corporations do anything for money nowadays. Just look at VW corp, a bit of a childish move by them don't you think? however Microsoft days would be numbered if that surfaces. For now I would stick with windows 7. Just in case, always have your tinfoil hat ready.

Of course they are not going to steal bitcoins all of the sudden, although the cia or something similar might want to access if your pc or you are related to shady business or activities on the internet.
971  Economy / Gambling / Re: Everaja All Games Predictions. on: November 13, 2015, 06:02:20 PM

Hm and what do you analyse exactly, the teams? Lets say you saw a betting opportunity on football or soccer as you call it, what would you analyse, both teams stats? The players that play? I will follow this thread to see your picks because im not very convinced by it, no offense.

You can follow my thread as a critic , i like people nudging me , The picks that i write here are much surprised one , which you will find just reverse of the wind , all bets are just not analysed by me , but also by blog members.
For team (soccer ) i prefer , key players , defense , and teams stats and also the home/away conditions.

Hmm so what is your blog? Is there like a vote for each one of your picks, anyone can participate? I will indeed keep track of your thread maybe im up for a suprise.
972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security risks with using Windows 10 on: November 13, 2015, 06:00:28 PM
I consider windows as just a massive malware app. IMO, it's not safe to use for any online computing. But certainly not something to trust your money with.
Linux for the win!11!!  Wink

Well by itself, without taking anything about bitcoins in consideration I have to say that windows 10 dissapointed me, it's not good, it has some bugs and problems that the other windows didnt have and it basically has nothing new.. also fuck cortana.
973  Economy / Gambling / Re: Everaja All Games Predictions. on: November 13, 2015, 05:01:57 PM
Im wondering, how do you decide what to pick and when, when there are so many games of so many sports, do you watch all these sports usually? I mean how can you know what to pick if you dont know the teams or how they play, I imagine you dont know all the teams and players and all the sports, right?

I deeply analyse the game which attracts me , and then i reach a conclusion about the game, i usually dont go with favorite but with the team/player that can change the game.

I watch and prefer to bet in : Cricket , Basketball, soccer , tennis. Tongue

974  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ya know why BTC is back in a bull trend? on: November 13, 2015, 04:38:18 PM
In reading this forum, I have found that most people are optimistic about Bitcoin and a big price raise, not so many bearish people.

I really hope it raises though. Got caught in some buys above 440 $ and know I am in loses LOL.

Yes they are but that doesn't mean the price will go up and im sure 90% of them would just sell if the price happened to go down by 100$ today so yea..
975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security risks with using Windows 10 on: November 13, 2015, 04:34:25 PM
Quoted from the privacy policy...

Quote
“We will access, disclose and preserve personal data, including your content (such as the content of your emails, other private communications or files in private folders), when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary to protect our customers or enforce the terms governing the use of the services."

I fail to see how they will protect their users by invading their privacy. That is unless they mean to 'backup' the data for the user but if that is the case they should make use of encryption so that nobody at MS will be able to access such information. This statement from them comes across as very arrogant. Sounds just like the NSA and all the other 3 letter agencies... 'We do this for your protection...'

Although they can access personal data and other content on your pc I highly doubt they would steal your bitcoin wallet, Im pretty sure they would only access the data if something happened and you were involved or had something to do with it.
I think OP had more concerns about the security breaches that windows 10 could have.
976  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low or sell high. What is better? on: November 13, 2015, 04:29:26 PM
The reason most traders use some sort of technical analysis is to make sense of meaningless words like "buy low"  and "sell high".

After the bubble to $1200, $600 would have looked 'low' and been a bad buy. The same in the early days, $5 would have looked 'high' after trading in cents, and selling 'high' then has mentally scarred a lot of early adopters.

Tl,dr: 'Buy low, sell high' is a meaningless phrase used by people who don't know what they're doing and are almost guaranteed to lose money.

It's only meaningless in cryptos because the volatility is too high, on other things people knows more or less what the price looks like normally and the terms ''high'' and ''low'' have a meaning, anyone who says they can make profit on cryptos in the long term guaranteed is lying because it doesn't matter how good you are there is always the possibility of loosing a lot of money in a really short amount of time with bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies.
977  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there still demand for a project like this? on: November 13, 2015, 04:25:41 PM
Well porn is the most searched thing on the internet so anything that has to do with it has more chances to succeed than any other thing, there are some sites that use btc but not that many. There are a lot of sites that use normal currencies but they still profit, it doesnt matter if there are too many because people search for porn all around the world so im pretty sure your project can work easily.

I personally would have banned the owner of yobit here aswell, at least for 2 weeks. They have done nothing about the spammers until now when mexxer and other users had to research and find the spammers because the campaign owner cant do it. Whats weird is a campaign that doesnt care about anything and pays their users to spam in off topic where no one will see their signature, it just makes me believe that they are either scammers or they really dont give a fuck.

Well I have been strongly pushing for users like yobit and secondstrade to be banned for a while and I still think problem campaigns should be treated the same as problem spammers ie couple of temp bans then permabanned. However, I left negative feedback for yobit and he now seems eager to hire someone to run the campaign for him and I've made some suggestions. I've also told secondstrade they will be recieving the same treatment if they don't improve but he tells me the user mark coins is going to be helping him out with that but he's on yobit and his posts don't look great either.

Myself, I just don't think they particularly care. I suppose when you see something absolutely everywhere you won't forget about it, which is what they might be going for. As hilariousandco pointed out once, they pay out dust anyway so it's not a great financial loss for paying for such posts.

He told me they have over 200 users and they're paying out over 0.1 a day so at around 3btc a month they could run a pretty decent fixed rate campaign which I have suggested they do. Eitherway if somone respectable is looking after their campaign it will quickly be cleaned up.

Hm I thought they were paying more than that considering how many users they have and how much they spam but I guess 3 btc a month is not that much. I would still ban the owner right now at least 14 days for not doing anything before but thats up to the staff I guess.
