I'll save everyone some work. The coins giving "more" profit are Solaris and Signatum. BUT, it's a iffy profit because the pools are not reliable in the short term and small miners.

I hate people "hiding" their game, it's childish

heh, heh, i think you need to look up some terms Cheesy   Try:
-PoW
-Game Theory
-Nash Equilibrium

not "hiding your game"  is whats considered a "zero-sum game" with PoW coins, THATS why people generally dont say what their mining publically Cheesy
Hehe, don't worry, it's something only vets really know, as most bought rigs not even knowing what crypto was, i understand Cheesy

Everyone knows...Some of us just feel uncomfortable taking knowledge then not giving it out

This is a small place. . .

edit - just imagine what this place would be like if everyone applied game theory. It would all be lies and shilling no truth to be had anywhere in anything mining related...

It would be terrible

Tahts true, it WOULD be horrible Sad   luckily even tho many people here are quite abrase, most of us still like sharing knowledge Smiley

There are a ton of lurkers just reading messages and not contributing though, not sure if they are newbies or they just don't want to help anyone but themselves.

Prob both Cheesy  This thread has more new users then long time forum vets, it's intresting to ask WHY?  lord knows more vets here own 1080ti's
Oh, wait, the game theory...  Cheesy hahaha
Meh, people are people!

To the personal asking about brands , there IS a difference sometimes.  ASUS turbos are underperformers from my experience, while my zotac extreme is just a beast, OCs to the moon, never crashes, has highes OOB hashes of ANY other brand i have tested

1763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: New Alternative Coins Pools on: August 12, 2017, 08:01:40 PM
Dear miners,

It is with great satisfaction that I announce the launch of a new group of altcoins mining pools.
Currently we have Ethereum, Expanse, Musicoin, SOILcoin and Ubiq.
These pools have been launched just a couple of weeks ago and we are still struggling to bring in more miners.
Take a look at www.altpools.xyz and please give us a feeback, we want to improve the service even further and offer the best.

Thanks in advance!

ugh with no SSL and the namecheap .xyz domain, honestly i wouldn't DARE point a machine to your pool right now Sad
It just ASKING to be hacked and your brand new account here leaves miners with ZERO liability when you DO get hacked, you will likely just disappear
Its very competitive, the GOOD yiimp pools have trouble getting miners, so your pool has no chance in current state imo

Here is the main investigation thread, I will update this thread regularly and will create separate threads for each of these so called people. If you have been a victim and have lost your reputation or business as a result of false allegations on Bitcointalk.org please get in touch, I also have a mailing list there where I will share legal best practice.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2079010.0

this thread blows my mind. you dont seem to have the proper understanding of blockchain to even BE a scammer, let alone even CLOSE to a legitimate user here..
I also tin foil head a bit of a circle jerk on this forum, but damn dude, you NOR your shills have even ONE retort of the REAL hard evidence, and as said, im also at a loss to words to whether you just think people hear believe WORDS blindly or you REALLY dont know how the chain proves payments here PUBLICALLY :/
Either way, you, sir, are a mess, oh snap someone called YOU Sir for once Cheesy

haha, what a joke, dude give it up.
Oh, i guess i now await your lawyers you send to everyone here saying what i did, good!, i need a good ball emptying Cheesy
1765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: August 12, 2017, 08:41:20 AM
I have 3 1080 tis coming

613 for 1
630 for 1
696 for 1

Fuck the vega

Soon Vega is BEST - when get new drivers
remember

meh, this has been said before, who wants to buy something on a promise of future performance? Those people should go back to ICOS Cheesy
i, as well, will continue to buy 1080ti, as they perform NOW.
You can wait your months for vega to be better sure, but ill have volta by xmas or soon after so...  you will still be waiting for your promise i see Cheesy
NOW , if the bottom tier was 299 USD, they might have something, but for 399 USD and like 300+ watts? pfffft, no amount of undervolt will matter :/
IN fact i may just buy a few 580 8GB when vega drops, for similar ETH performance at 1/2 the price Cheesy
1766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best GPU's For Mining? on: August 11, 2017, 07:08:26 PM
The 1080 ti's consume way too much power and are way too expensive. For me I can get 1060 3gb cards for $299, while the lowest I can find a 1080 ti for is $929.  My 8 x 1060 rig pulls 750w, my 8 x 1070 rig pulls 1200w. If you run 8 x 1080's at 65%, you're still going to hit over 1500w.  That's double the power of the 1060 rig.

I don't get the ROI argument either on the resale of the card. If my 1060 cards returned me $0 in resale next year, and 1080 ti's could get 75% of their value next year, that's not even close to a good deal! Run the numbers in cryptocompare.. it doesn't add up.

as it has been mentioned many times, DENSITY is where you "price for performance" guys will lose everytime
Did you add needing THREE TIMES as many rigs to have as much hash in the end? thats ALOT of cost...
Eh, maybe only TWICE as many slots, but still.
and you have in the end:  200 1060's OMG, GOOD LUCK doing ANYTHING with those in 6 months, they will be worth nothing, and too many around to sell
1080ti's, you will have 75, they will sell like HOTCAKES in 6 months for 75% value (as 980ti still does today)

1767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: About new dual mining on: August 11, 2017, 05:32:25 AM
Thanks!  I've been wondering about that.

You Sir look scammy as fuck, not doing a simple google search and backing up a newbie account, i assume thats your account tho
Kminer is a cheap-ass 5+ year old botnet bitcoin wallet stealer tool.

Cmon, now, grow up, there's SO much money in this space, but you try cheap ass scams?  So sad, is that how you represent your country here? :/

Crazy haha!
i have one of those boards hashing as we type, so i would definitely follow the progress of this hehe
Honestly, if i could put a splitter on EACH of the slots it has now even i would be more than satisfied, damn, here i thought it having 12 slots built in was enough... Cheesy
1769  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS]Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 Gaming 8GB Graphic Cards GV-RX580GAMING-8GD on: August 10, 2017, 07:44:25 AM
I just bought a brand new Red Devil 580 8GB, for 300 USD, straight from Newegg.. literally 2 days ago
People hunting will find their cards the same way, so good luck getting more than 325, with Vega launching in stores in only 4 days
Price would have to be like 300USD for me to want this, as theirs also shipping and finding an escrow, fees for that, just way too much headache to ALSO pay 25% more for a USED card (Sorry but if it's been plugged in how do WE know you "never mined" with it?)

1770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MNM][LAUNCHED] MINEUM |x13| PoW STARTED on: August 09, 2017, 07:18:40 AM
Well best thing to do now is be patient and buy lots of coins and hope for the best. Theyre really cheap right now.

I don't think this will ever rise again except in case of P&D. I was one of the investor in the ICO and I suffered quite a good lose in this one.

Me too. i voiced my concerns from right after they did step one (take money) that they never thought it through, but idiots gave them 100k, so they proceeded
they convinced me they were "trying" so i stepped off them, but lets face it:
YOUR "VOTE" on their months of BS, DONT MEAN SHIT: THEY OWNED 51% FROM THE START (and have swayed the votes in their favor since with it)
YOU bought them a farm, which, ALTHOUGH in 2016 had the BEST GPU PROFITS EVER, returned 1% a MONTH

WAKE UP, this was a scam from the beginning, but they have been working hard to solidify it since, so your prob screwed.
next time? BUILD YOURSELF

Ugh, all i see is massive new accounts shilling, but when a member thats been there since day ONE in discord voices his concerns that these "leaders" are misleading the community, "CRACKAJACK" bans them? why not just answer their concerns if you have nothing to hide?

Personally, i USE CWI, it SEEMS ok, but why LIE about scanning it? and IF YOU DID, why not POST the scan? Sad
Seems like that guy caught you in a lie so you banned him?
then OP backs them up (dude everyone KNOWs your alternate name on there...)

Sad

hmm.. maybe that other dude saying it looked like CHC was right....  DEFCON5! haha

Not much TO say Cheesy

All you really have here is a buncha words...

No reputation here
No pics of renderings or any actual shit you have built
NO (seemingly) money to do this

Here's what you need:   A shitpile of money.  Otherwise this is just a daydream.  Get the $$$, actually START SOMETHING, then come back for opinions Cheesy
1773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: August 08, 2017, 07:16:33 PM
it's kinda late to go for SIGT as reward is halving in 1 or 2 hrs.

hard to say what will happen to price and diff ye :/
This one is an enigma haha, the volume SIGT has had it just nuts, 600+ BTC in 24 hours, everyday, damn, must be tradebots.
I think the 1/2ing will shake out the profit miners, and start some natural growth with reduced inflation, ii am greatly looking forward to it Cheesy
1774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine - Cryptopia on: August 08, 2017, 10:51:20 AM
the whale is manipulate price, drop to 2500 satoshi then back to 4000 in just 30 miniutes

ya that was crazy, it reminds us that these markets can move quickly! haha
i'm waiting for the 1/2ing and beyond, i am gonna just try ignore the whales splashing, it's just what they do Smiley

Beware these new unknown pools people, pools come and go, Never know when they are gonna rob you :/ use reputable long term pools!
1775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LBRY.IO - DICUSSION THREAD on: August 07, 2017, 11:38:33 PM
Hi,

Can someone help me out setting up a ccminer for mining Lbry with nvidia gpu ?

I've been following this guide, but it doesn't work: https://steemit.com/beyondbitcoin/@contentjunkie/how-to-mine-lbry-credits-with-an-nvidia-gpu-on-windows

I get this (trying to use suprnova):

https://s2.postimg.org/mu9bp2frt/Image_001.png

Instructions on Suprnova for Lbry are just for sgminer and not for ccminer :/
I'm also noob at this.

Thanks

you can go into the Slack Channel and they have mining guides made by members pinned in their #mining channel
they also have AMD instructions at lbry://lbryamdminer, but ya no for ccminer they have a guide there Smiley
The link to join is: http://slack.lbry.io  , hope to see you there!
1776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: August 07, 2017, 07:07:37 AM
Just found it on github , +20mh/s more now 😊  thanks dude !

Which one are you using?

I'm using one of Paglins and I get 48 MH/s

Did you get 20% more on top fo that, or a lower value?
i have 40+ ( cant remember i was sleepy ) with 70%, and stock mem & clock.
Before, i was 35 max , even at 100 % power.
For the moment , i dont wanno O/C or tweak, even if that card was free for me

Mine is 43-44mh/s at 80% PL, founder edition 1080ti, ccminer version 1. Version 1.1 and paglins version doesn't seem to increase hash rate for me. It's one of the rare times I think is worth to overclock your gpus given the current earnings.

But i'm running 5 1080ti on 1200W psu, so I can't  Sad

For the 1070/1080/1080ti question, if space is no issue for you, and you can get 1070s for reasonable price, like $370, 1070s still win out imo.

Since 1070 is 50% of 1080ti for compute bound algo (Skein, SIGT)
65% of 1080ti for Equihash
80% of 1080ti for Ethash

Extra maintenance is also not a problem for big farms as they have employees, and at their scale, extra warehouse space is cheap. Note that you'll have twice the hassle and shipping costs when selling cards too for 1070s.

-Space IS an issue for most
- 1070's havent been found for over 2 MONTHS at 370$, whaaaaa?
-"extra employees to do that" -- costs $$$
- "extra warehouse space is cheap" maybe if your ALREADY have a wearhouse Cheesy

i admit it's situational, but i dont see the validity in 1070's for the average miner buying TODAY :/ they bring in what now, 3$ a day per? :/
1777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine - Cryptopia on: August 07, 2017, 05:36:49 AM
whats a good buyin?

when your comfortable Cheesy
Please understand the game theory of a free market means NOONE can tell YOU when to buy in unless they wanna make money off your loss hehe
look at the coin, development, team, usecase, buy support, exchange listings, etc, and make an informed decision Smiley
when your done doing that: forget about it all and realize this is the wild west baby and ANYTHING can happen Cheesy

Good Luck!
1778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: August 07, 2017, 04:54:01 AM
1080Ti are very promising i have 3 1080Tis coming from newegg for a rig not sure if i will buy another one to add it to the rig the only constraint i have is that the rig has 1000watts psu even with 70% TDP i am not sure if i want to draw 4 1080ti cards on that power supply will test it out with 3 cards see what the load is like if its around 600 or so i will add 4th.

o hey! funny you say that! i had the SAME situation, here's how it went:

x4 1080ti will NOT even BOOT windows 10 , it just kills the PSU, powers off. (1000 watt G2 GOLD), i HAD to move to a bigger PSU (i put on a 1600 watt Hercules)
i was able to ADD another 1080ti once i had the 1600 watt PSU, and after tuning, it only pulls 995 watts for all 5 now
I assume it needs to pull some full draw on boot maybe?
Please let me know if you get 1000 watt PSU to boot x4 1080ti (one of mine was a zotac they are 320 TDP, more than a usual 1080ti)

1779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: August 07, 2017, 04:30:19 AM
Is anyone buying 1080Ti for mining only?

To me that doesn't make sense as there are cards that offer more mhs per $ invested.  I guess you are buying 1080Ti for gaming and mine when you can?

ya haha i think your missing some factors, as 1080ti will win if your LONG, everytime Cheesy

sure you can get better "hash per watt" but you will fill a WAREHOUSE to have the same hashpower as a 1080ti army Smiley
you will build x3 as many rigs to equal your farms capacity in hashpower if you use 1070's
you will max out your location and/or end up paying for space using 1070 over 1080ti
put THAT into your $$ calculations ;p

another factor: soloing

You CANT really solo on a 1070 rig for too long, you dont have enough hash :/  but you CAN on a 1080ti rig, i do on SIGT and have made a KILLING still today, no 1070 rigs can still solo at this point (unless 10+ cards)
my 1070 rigs mine inna pool ;p

1070's WERE king, but times change man, especially since 1070 prices are STUPID now (i paid 400USD for my 1070's brand new form newegg, they are WAY higher now)
1780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which one is the best cloud mining company? on: August 07, 2017, 03:52:55 AM
Genesis Cloud Mining is probably the most reputable that I know of, but as the previous poster said, Cloud Mining is very inefficient and you will rarely get the money you invest back.

It's FAR cheaper to build and host a mining rig yourself.

Genesis mining is the biggest "legit scam" in this space, use them if you wanna never see your money again, plain and simple (read their trust ratings)

The ONLY legit cloud mining providers are Bitmains "Hashnest" and Hash-to-coins "Hashflare" (hashtocoins has a kinda dubious past but users report no isssues with the hashflare service)
NEITHER of these services "gurantee ROI", do your research, think 200 days of network difficulty ahead, and you MAY make money with these services tho
(i have made money on both those services, but also lost money on hashnest with value drop in hash)

again: think ahead with cloud mining! haha
