408  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DIY PCB with AVAlON - BitSyncom, need your help. on: April 01, 2013, 04:01:00 AM
I thing the part of the design people will mostly want to modify and experiment with is cooling / overclocking, board placement and source of 12v power.

I think you're thinking too much, one thing at a time...

The renaming is already planned for when 1 satoshi = 1$
411  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: I want to have a serious discussion about BFL on: March 29, 2013, 05:24:28 AM
How about you start with having a moderated thread.

This isn't going well.
412  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: [Survey] What do you think BFL did with pre-orders money and BTCs ? on: March 28, 2013, 08:41:21 PM

413  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CaVirtex is coming with Leveraged Bitcoin trading on: March 28, 2013, 08:26:35 PM
Damn the VTX fund doubled, now crashing down to regular price...why are people selling, I don't get it...
my guess is they sell it because the price of BTC is rising,  This has a positive effect on Cavirtex profits but in the longer term.

I'm grabbing some more.

Hello! Why do I have disconnected miners, the rate has fallen to 6?
on the pool issue?
I noticed a problem with the calculation?
What are you trying to mine there ?  It turned into a scam a while ago.

... U make it sound like every member is currently a bull and I'm foolish for getting oppinons from the community, I assume u made good money yet u seem angry, why?
...
Thanks for answering me politely,

This forum has ~80 000 members so an even bitcoin distribution would mean ~130 BTC each.... It does not mean much but still I hope you get the idea.

The problem I had with your question is the number "1" BTC while this number should have been 80$ (at the time)

If you want to us to decide for you if you should be investing 80$ on bitcoins we would have to know how easy is it for you to acquire this many USD.

416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CaVirtex is comming with Leveraged Bitcoin trading on: March 28, 2013, 05:26:46 PM
Thread title is misspelled.  Undecided
Thanks

... I don't have a good grasp on graphs and a strong idea what could happen next.  I understand it's not all about graphs...
You may have had an account on bitcointalk since may 2011 and contemplated owning bitcoins since it was ~13$ but I can't advise you to own even a fraction of a BTC if you "don't have a good grasp on graphs". ... WTF did you say "graphs" ?

I hope you managed to go forth with other aspects of your life in the meanwhile.

If you haven't noticed almost everyone around here has sold everything but the bare minimum for staying alive to get more BTC.

Seriously, What kind of advices do you expect ?

However, it is likely that any distribution will be made in USD.

I would be willing to bet a lot that 90% of Bitcoinica position were BTC LONG,
This by itself should have meant that the majority of USD retrieved from zhou should have been placed safely back into BTC.

That the liquidator prefer to deal with the 95%+ of the assets based on value is the complete opposite of what creditors want.

What can we do against this ?
419  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement from Avalon on: March 26, 2013, 03:25:58 AM
What kind of pricing is that ?

 3 module 74.36BTC , = 24.76

 4 module 101.14BTC, = 25.285

Not only modules are cheaper on the cheapest unit, it's as if the whole casing + daughter board + controller + fans were worth nothing.
PSU may be better in 4 modules machines. it is also heavier to ship.
as an ex gpu miner I obviously choose the without PSU option.
