461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A new name for mining on: March 08, 2013, 08:32:29 PM
Mining is the outcome of securing the network.

I use either one of them depending on the context,  When explaining bitcoin as a whole I often use Securing.

People running clients are, relaying, storing, and validating block and transactions.  Is that accurate ?

Look legit, you were on the verge of my ignore list with that 1$ comment, Fortunately I made some research into your profile and now I'm happy to learn we have another quality service providing bitcoiner.

Keep the good work.

I suggest you use the notify feature so you can reply to request like the one above in a timely manner...

Instead of posting stuff like :
Hell, go down to $1 I say. Gives me a chance to buy in cheap, lol!

A man can dream, no?
A 22yo man can dream that a bitcoin business owner cannot find someone of trust who can use Excel in it's vicinity.

Nice try.

469  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble! I've just sold!! on: March 06, 2013, 06:41:37 PM
Why anyone would bother replying to these threads is beyond me.

OP might have sold as little as 10 btc for all we know.
470  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC @ 47.61 = 1B$ ? Should bitcoin market cap include the bitcoins to be mined ? on: March 06, 2013, 10:26:42 AM
No.

Should market cap include speculative prices? No.

The market cap is calculated by current price. Price is subject to supply and demand. Note that supply does not include all to-be-mined coins.
I think bitcoin is a special case, there is no speculation as to weather or not these bitcoin will be mined so they're somewhat part of the supply.
471  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC @ 47.61 = 1B$ ? Should bitcoin market cap include the bitcoins to be mined ? on: March 06, 2013, 06:14:38 AM
right now:

Total BTC   10,862,000 BTC
Please read the question.
472  Economy / Economics / BTC @ 47.61 = 1B$ ? Should bitcoin market cap include the bitcoins to be mined ? on: March 06, 2013, 05:46:21 AM
1b$ market capitalization milestone, should be worthy of press release title.

1B$ / 21 000 000 = 47.61$
473  Other / Meta / Re: [Feature added] Color besides usernames for Ignored by % of established members. on: March 05, 2013, 08:18:21 AM
I changed the algorithm to take into account your number of posts.

ignore_ratio = (established_ignore_count + 1 - posts / 500) / total_established_users

The range that you might see under your avatar is no longer quite accurate, though it's pretty close.

If I understand correctly someone with 500 post is twice more affected by ignores than someone with 1000 posts ?

It does make sense although there might be a problem with not having enough established_user to make up for the amount of BS posts speculators can make.

Are heavily ignored people removed from established_users ? That would act as a safety mechanism.
474  Economy / Speculation / Re: proudhon on: March 02, 2013, 04:57:59 PM
Proudhon was an early adopter of my ignore list.
475  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ultimate bear chart on: March 02, 2013, 02:13:03 AM
+1,

This is the first speculation thread I agree with.

Bitclocker has been holding onto our BTC for almost a month.

What's so hard to give an update saying the truth ?

Have you been hacked ? Have you lost our btc playing Satoshi dice ?
In the absence of an answer I can only deduce you're intending on scamming us.
478  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SCAM Alert! Bitclockers.com stopped payouts and their admins don't answer on: February 25, 2013, 07:08:28 PM
I really hope you manage to get your BTC back.
