Its a very interesting topic right now...wished, it could be explained in the IOTA thread!

Greetz
Steve

Just post them in Iota thread.

There goes that passive aggressive trolling again. For the love of God, why are you even on this thread? OK, you got beef with SN but please fuck off and take it elsewhere. At least they can ban your from the slack channel if you decide to spread your insidious posts there.

For the last 5 years I've been seeing the same scenario again and again: A novel cryptoplatform appears, jackals (who call themselves "traders") come to its thread, they pump the price and dump into hands of newbies, the platform slowly dies. Oh, forgot to say, they claim to be "trolled".

Does this hint why I'm in this thread?
1583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 01, 2017, 08:46:15 AM
I hope most people are familiar with his method of concerned or gentle trolling and see right through it.  It is cluttering up the thread though and should be moderated.

Let me reveal my guess why you support SatoNatomato:

You are a trader who cares only about his profit. SatoNatomato spreads lies trying to make the price rise higher. This aligns with your intention to sell for higher profit. Once you sell you'll start hating SatoNatomato's dirty tactics because they won't align with your intention to buy cheaper.

Am I right?
1584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 31, 2017, 08:06:55 PM
I think the privacy features of all 3 coins are more or less the same for most practical purposes.   What differs, and what matters most for regular users, is usability.

Thx, I'll use this together with other fuckups of SatoNatomato (which he will, of course, make in the future) to show the real level of his "competence".
1585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 31, 2017, 04:44:23 PM
SatoNatomato and Come-from-Beyond, could you please stop the kindergarten!

This is an unmoderated thread, so no posts will be deleted, but no need to exploit this.

I just pointed to a claim which is incorrect. SatoNatomato doesn't understand why leaking of information bits may be possible in Byteball and is impossible in ZKP-based schemes. (Un)intentionally he spreads false information. So why is it kindergarten on my side?
1586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 31, 2017, 02:12:32 PM
Iotatokens are worthless.

IOTA is not trustless.

Decentralized only by human and developer decisions.

Iota does not have a consensus algorithm. Iota is a scam, with less features than email and an gentleman agreement to send each other HTML emails with special formatting - "transactions" signed by GPG keys. Thats the technological sophistication and innovation of Iota by Come-from-Beyond.

Let's wait for tonych reply and we'll see how much your words are worth. If he doesn't notice I'll repost as many times as required.
1587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 31, 2017, 02:04:04 PM
Id say the blackbytes + Tor support makes Byteball more secure and anonymous than even Monero or Zcash.

I hope noone will really believe the quoted words, or they may find themselves in serious troubles...
Now you are just trolling and spreading fear with only these three dots ... to back it up, because your own shit coin iota is worthless.

@tonych, do you support the claim of SatoNatomato the Expert?

Byteball solves this problem with a set of 12 witnesses
which are all controlled by tonych atm.

Will the number be increased? Or IPs of these witnesses are unknown and hence no DoS protection is required?
1590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 31, 2017, 10:10:38 AM
By the way, a one-witness difference is accepted, so you can replace one of those twelve by one of yours or of someone you trust.

Thx, so what to do if you and me trust to almost totally different sets of witnesses?
1591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 31, 2017, 10:07:31 AM
I think I won't wait for SatoNatomato's response, it will likely contain only nonsense. I'll explain my concern right away:

Byteball uses witnesses. There are 2 ways to choose the witnesses:

1. They are picked by every user for himself
2. They are elected via global voting

If it's #1 then it becomes possible that some users are almost isolated from each other because they have only few common witnesses. #2 leads to a more serious problem which arises if a user is faced with more than 2 options (just google why it's a serious problem, there should be many links with mathematical proofs on impossibility of coming to a satisfying consensus). The problem of picking an option has already striked twice in the cryptoindustry. First it was Ripple/Stellar consensus flaw drama when Stellar admitted to have a flawed consensus while Ripple decided to make appearance they were fine (heh, they had enough money not to care about community opinion). The second time which I remember it was Factom drama, now I can't find the links, but in few words: they "sold" a flawed voting mechanism which was unfixable because they allowed more than 2 options.

So my concern is that cryptocoin developers don't take voting seriosly. I noticed this several years ago in Bitshares. Back then I was thinking that voting is easy, only after working with two professors (on two separate tasks) who were specializing in voting I got that it's all actually not that simple...
1592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 31, 2017, 09:45:36 AM
Iota doesnt solve this problem, instead they require trust between each ones/nodes, requires to trust the peer and no peer is allowed to enter the network without being vetted - so any problem nodes, nodes which make their own branches and widen the DAG, are confined to small parts of the network, and they have centralized milestones to define what the mainline in their DAG is, a manual developer-ruled process.

Interesting how you called white "back" and back "white". Putting IOTA aside because it's an offtopic, I have a question:

Quote
Total order is established by selecting a single chain on the DAG (the main chain) that is attracted to units signed by known users called witnesses.

Who are these witnesses now?

You really think I picked that guys avatar and was trying to scam after I just bought 2 Ti?

Personally, I don't think so. There are simple rules and I was following them, particularly:

1. If someone uses Dom's avatar he is banned.
2. If someone uses a throwaway email and a fake name he is banned.

These rules are not easily available to newcomers, this is what the community should improve.

Really?  I have never changed my avatar and I am sure there is a log file on Slack that you could review but it is irrelevant.

I tried to change your avatar and didn't find such option in admin panel. If it wasn't you changing the avatar then you became a victim of a Slack bug.
1595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷 What does IOTA, McDonalds, Michael Vick and a Cover Band have in common? 🔷 on: January 30, 2017, 11:39:11 PM
That would be difficult since I was banned and do not have access to the account.

You probably changed it before the ban?
1596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷 What does IOTA, McDonalds, Michael Vick and a Cover Band have in common? 🔷 on: January 30, 2017, 11:29:23 PM
So who changed their Avatar

Do you mean your avatar?
1597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷 What does IOTA, McDonalds, Michael Vick and a Cover Band have in common? 🔷 on: January 30, 2017, 11:17:53 PM
I can see if I used that Avatar I would look like a scammer but since I did not have that Avatar how in the hell can you make that association.  Here is a screen picture from my cell phone I was using.  I do not see any resemblance

If an avatar is changed it's updated for old messages.

Like I stated previously, would you please post a picture of the Avatars in question?  I see no harm in doing so if what you have stated is true.  What I see from your posse is a bunch of people being Judge, Jury and Executioner about me signing up and being given a default avatar.

You simply stated I broke the rules and banned me.  I recall Agreeing to the Slack TOS and do not remember having the opportunity to read any of your said rules.  Regardless if I had read them how would I know what Avatar i was assigned.  Just ignorant.  I would suggest your team get custom avatars.

Thanks guys. Combining those two answers, one can have the complete picture Smiley

Is this code already translated to Verilog/VHDL to be implemented/tested in FPGA?

No, we use a special format because it's trinary, not binary.
