1782  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Does Satoshi Dice break US Anti Gambling Laws? on: January 09, 2013, 02:11:17 PM
I might be wrong but playing online poker is legal in most US jurisdiction because it's a skill game. Online gambling like Satoshi dice is illegal at federal level because it's pure gambling and banned by the Wire Act. Some states specifically ban online poker but most don't. Funding poker account via the US banking system is illegal because of the UIGEA.

Satoshi dice might fall in a grey area since it's legal to gamble online with playmoney and Bitcoin might not be considered real money. You don't need to fund your account via the US banking system either.

I'm not a lawyer but I was a pro poker player for 6 years.

Only older Tor client were DNS leaking.
As far as I know the application configured to use Tor proxy was leaking, not the Tor software itself.
You are right it was Firefox included with the Tor bundle that was leaking: https://blog.torproject.org/blog/new-tor-browser-bundles-security-release

Tor by itself can't leak any DNS request.
1793  Other / Off-topic / Re: Secure IM conversations? on: January 08, 2013, 04:34:06 AM
Just watch torchat, as your dns requests still go through normal axx..... So can be logged/archived and used at a later date against you.
TorChat doesn't use any DNS server since traffic doesn't leave the Tor network.

Tor use its own DNS resolver when it needs to reach a website on the clearnet. Only older Tor client were DNS leaking.

Thanks could you remove my email so spambots don't harvest it?

When I put the key in the search box I get

1796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Need help with GPG setup on: January 08, 2013, 02:32:20 AM
I'm trying to upload my GPG key to a key server but I can't find it when using the search option on http://pgp.mit.edu

Code:
$ gpg --list-keys --keyid-format long
pub   4096R/AB5363734E59D2C7 2013-01-08

$ gpg --send-keys --keyserver pgp.mit.edu AB5363734E59D2C7
gpg: sending key 4E59D2C7 to hkp server pgp.mit.edu
$  gpg --send-keys --keyserver subset.pool.sks-keyservers.net AB5363734E59D2C7
gpg: sending key 4E59D2C7 to hkp server subset.pool.sks-keyservers.net

Then I tried to manually submit the key "AB5363734E59D2C7" via the website but I get:
Quote
Error handling request. Exception raised: Failure("Error while decoding ascii-armored key: text terminated before reaching PGP public key header line")

What is going wrong?

Deposit via CAD bank account is free and take about 24-48h. Exchange fees are rather expensive for low volume: https://www.cavirtex.com/faq#tx_fees

Jabber with Pidgin and OTC plugin (Not 100% anonymous if you don't hide your IP) or TorChat.
I think you mean OTR-plugin Smiley You can use Pidgin with Tor: https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/doc/TorifyHOWTO/InstantMessaging
Corrected!
