6621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of Thrones - Who will rule? Odds and betting discussion [Odds updated!] on: May 21, 2019, 02:11:19 AM
The leaks orions.belt19 has posted are real. This was not a very satisfying way to end the show, I reckon. The writers appeared to be in a hurry to end it and collect their paychecks hehehe.

It was a sad ending for Jon, Bran became king and Bron got his castle. All the other character's endings were uninteresting.

Too bad we did not make a bet on the leaks whether it will happen or not, it would have made things more fun  Grin

I would not bet against them. When the leaks begun appearing in Reddit, the sportsbooks removed all Game of Thrones betting which was convncing that the source was real.

@Theb. I was also hoping for a similar ending. A symbolism for our world trapped in a long winter hehehe.

@jakelyson. Do not forget the 2 years of waiting hehehehe.
6622  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-19] Inflation Bug Still a Danger To Bitcoin on: May 21, 2019, 01:46:19 AM
That clickbait article was written to get clicks and to spread fear. Maybe someone made a bigger short position on leverage than he can afford hehehe. Tone Vays, is that you hehe?
6623  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-20] Poloniex delists 9 cryptos for U.S. traders, they may be securities on: May 21, 2019, 01:29:01 AM
@IconFirm. Agreed. Tristan D'Agosta must be laughing his way all the way to the bank when he sold Poloniex the Dying to Circle hehehe. Also, the exchange is very slow in times of high trading activity and the support staff are very incompetent and slow.

I thought this would change after Circle's takeover.
6624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: May 20, 2019, 04:55:18 AM
@Cryptotourist. grinmint.net should have an all time chart of the total of both the primary and secondary hashrates to give everyone a clearer picture.

@Febo. Is that chart correct? grinmint.net has 0.85 kg/s and 47.678 kg/s on the primary and secondary hashrates. Your website has 947.58 kg/s of the total grin hashrate?
6625  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where's FOMO at? Tom Lee on: May 20, 2019, 04:40:05 AM
FOMO is not something that happens once and at a particular price, FOMO is happening every day and at all prices and we have many different types of it with different levels of "fear".
for example when price reversed out of $3100 we had a FOMO, but a small one as price went up to $4.2k and the "fear" factor in that was small too. but then when we broke the $4.2k resistance the bigger FOMO began and price shot up to above $5k. then we have seen 2 more FOMOs as price kept pushing upward and as people "feared" more and more about how they were missing out on the rise.

so in other words from the bottom ($3.1k) up to $8k+ we have already had multiple FOMO cases with at least 2 big ones. and we will continue seeing different types and levels of FOMO.
$10k breakout will be newcomers mostly and a moderately size FOMO, the $21k breakout will be a lot more newcomers and a much bigger FOMO and finally the biggest FOMO will occur near the end (similar to 2017 and the rise from $9k to $20k in one month) possibly at $80k to $100k.

Tom Lee agrees. He was always in FOMO for the whole year during the 2018 bear market. He never stopped telling all his interviewers about his price prediction of $25k. If he was in Game of Thrones he would be called Tom Lee the Brave, the slayer of bears hehehe.

In any case, is it the right time to listen to Tom Lee?
6626  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-05-20] Poloniex delists 9 cryptos for U.S. traders, they may be securities on: May 20, 2019, 04:04:34 AM
What about Ripple and Stellar? I reckon they are the easiest among all cryptcoins listed in Poloniex to be classified as securities controlled by a centralized organization that issues Ripple and Stellar tokens to their partnered banks and other financial institutions.

There is a double standard occuring in this corrupt system.

Poloniex, which was acquired by major payments provider Circle back in February 2018, will no longer be offering U.S. customers trading for the following cryptos: Ardor (ARDR), Bytecoin (BCN), Decred (DCR), GameCredits (GAME), Gas (GAS), Lisk (LSK), Nxt (NXT), Omni (OMNI), and Augur (REP).

The decision is apparently being made after guidance from regulators. Circle is still actively lobbying for crypto assets to be treated differently to more traditional types of asset, but it can't guarantee that this will happen.

According to the exchange's statement, "Today’s action is a result of regulatory uncertainty in the US market. Specifically, it is not possible to be certain whether US regulators will consider these assets to be securities. We understand how frustrating this choice is for our customers, and for the crypto community more broadly".

6628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 19, 2019, 01:31:34 AM
Those two defenders are good. So if they ever face GSW in the finals, I'm sure Giannis will have a tough time as compare to the Toronto series. Green and Iguodala are very athletic and can match very well against Giannis either if he is facing or doing isolation in the post.

The Greek Freak is really unstoppable against Toronto. But let us see if Kawhi Leonard can still pull some upsets or at least the team take some collaborative effort to put a brake on Giannis. Too many easy shots, dunks and three's for him.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was unbelievable in his game against the Toronto Raptors. And I don't agree when you say that the Toronto defense was weak. You may not agree with me, but in my opinion the Toronto point guards saved a lot of points for their team. It was the combination of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Ersan Ilyasova which did the trick.

Anyway.. Sunday's game should be interesting.... can they make it 3-0?
Giannis  never fails to impress me.Even i wont really say raptors defense is weak they do just know on how to pass up for those players who are free and Giannis can really break out and make points either inside or outside the paint. Bucks is much better than raptors but i do still commend kawhi leonard for that good performance.
Kawhi is good, but he cannot win without his team's support.

Game 2 stas here, let's analyze.

Bucks out rebounded the Raptors (53-40) - This is a big factor, Bucks are just so aggressive and even their bigs shoot 3s
Nikola Mirotic and Ersan Ilyasova are outstanding, these are big guys, who rebounds and shoot the ball well too.

Bucks also shoot more 3 points attempt although both have close 3GM-A.

I am not certain how good is Nick Nurse, however from reading about him, it appears that The Raptors is coached by a newbie in this level hehehe.

I reckon another 2 years of experience might bring him to a championship challenge.
6629  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-17] Stablecoins beat bitcoin according to ECB presidential hopeful on: May 19, 2019, 01:17:25 AM
@buwaytress. Make a suggestion for Chipmixer to create a stablecoin mixer hehehe. It might be useful for some people who do not want to be exposed to bitcoin's volatility but want to keep their privacy also.

I reckon there might be some whales in the cryptospace that might consider stablecoins to be the store of value because of stability and bitcoin as the speculative investment.
6630  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-17] Bitstamp Starts Investigation After Large BTC Sell Leads to $250m on: May 19, 2019, 12:25:35 AM
A whale pumps bitcoin from $4000 to $5000, everyone cheers. The same whale, or also possible another whale, tells himself that the trade is good and dumps his coins. Why is there a necessity for an investigation?
6631  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: May 18, 2019, 03:03:04 AM
@Ronnie. What stablecoin will you be accepting for your sportsbook? Tether or one of the stablecoins that the conspirators are pushing, with the help of the New York attorney general's office, to replace Tether hehehe?

6632  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-26] CNBC: Bitcoin price falls on NY AG Bitfinex probe on: May 18, 2019, 02:48:37 AM
New update.

Bitfinex posted this in their blog. This is a victory according to them, however, there are other news articles that say that the injunction is still blocking Bitfnex's line of credit from Tether. But as also reported in other news articles Bitfinex has collected $1b in funding in their IEO. This will not be a problem hehehe.

Today, the Hon. Joel M. Cohen of the New York Supreme Court (Commercial Division) granted our motion to modify the injunction obtained by the New York Attorney General against our business because the original injunction was vague, overbroad, and not time-limited. The court’s order allows Bitfinex and Tether to continue their normal business activities. It also stipulates that the injunction will expire in 90 days and that the burden to seek any renewal from the court rests squarely on the shoulders of the New York Attorney General’s office, where it belongs. Judge Cohen held that New York’s Martin Act “does not provide a roving mandate to regulate commercial activity.”

This order is a victory in the ongoing defence of our business against the New York Attorney General’s office.

The New York Attorney General’s office has sought to proceed ex parte against us and in bad faith, notwithstanding our previous, historical, and voluntary co-operation with them. We will vigorously defend against any action by the New York Attorney General’s office, and we remain committed, as ever, to protecting our customers, our business, and our community against their meritless claims.

Stupid leakers. They spoiled the fun away from the whole show. I would assume that Tyrion gave Bronn castle High Garden and has become its new lord?

Also, poor Bran, the Iron Bank will collect all the realm's debts from him hehehe. He will warg away hehehehehehe!

@bbc.reporter the leaks is what prepared me for episode 5 horror show, and I’m so disappointed with this show that I have decided to skip watching the sixth episode. Tyrion could never have given Bronn anything as it was always in Danny’s hand who gets what. Also there’s a petition to remake game of thrones season 8th, and it has been signed up by 6,95,000 people already, what do you’ll think will it work?.

https://www.change.org/p/hbo-remake-game-of-thrones-season-8-with-competent-writers

The petition will not work.

In any case, did you read the leak? The ending might be Daenerys is killed by Jon, Jon takes the black again, Sansa rules the north and a council is formed which declares Bran as king of the 7 kingdoms. Bronn is in that council. Bronn will get High Garden hehehe.

@Baofeng. I already moved on from Tom Lee. The funny bitcoin speculation news publication is now all about Tone Vays and Vinny Lingham hehehe.

Tone has sold some of his hodl position. I am skeptical, however.

2019 or 2020 might be the year of the stablecoins. The regulators have already begun the attack on Tether to set the everything in place and put one of their own or one that they support.

However, what are the mixing services' plans about this? I reckon they should also proceed and start offering mixing services for stablecoins to give the regulators more headaches hehehehehe!

According to Bloomberg, Villeroy believes that cryptocurrencies pegged to fiat will be the ones to experience greater utility within the mainstream finance apparatus. Speaking in Paris on Tuesday (May 14, 2019), Villeroy, a frontrunner for the ECB Presidential seat opined:

The Bank of France is “observing with great interest initiatives in the private sector which aim at developing networks within which ‘stable coins’ would be used in transactions involving ‘tokenized’ securities or goods and services.” These are quite different from speculative assets like bitcoins, and more promising.

Who owns grinmint.net? Does he come here in this thread?

I might be better to extend the website's chart for both primary and secondary hashrate with the option to see all the data from the very beginning. Grin does not have one yet, I reckon.

I reckon Aeon should begin going back to its original vision hehehe.

@smooth. Is this in the roadmap or has Aeon moved on only to follow Monero's development as closely as it can?

Taiwainese mobile phone manufacturer HTC is launching a more affordable blockchain phone with full Bitcoin BTC node capabilities.

Source https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2019/05/13/htc-blockchain-phone-exodus-bitcoin/

How are you going to run a full BTC node on 120GB storage? 240..?. yea 512GB storage is a must to run that. So glad Aeon chain can be stored on most 16GB Smartphones and run a node pice of cake.

Side note, Aeon seems it will fork away from Monero even more soon. Aeon only picking up security and other necessary patches to keep it rolling steadily.

I reckon you need to get more experience in using the real software released by the projects itself and run a node to get to know them better. You would learn about pruning by now if you did.
6639  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could still crash below $3000 - Vinny Lingham on: May 16, 2019, 04:21:14 AM
Our new contrarian indicator? It was only last month when Vinny Lingham has said that bitcoin could still crash below $3000. It pumped, however. In this latest article he said that I am now bullish on bitcoin. It might dump hehehe!

Lingham tweeted a thread stating "What part of - "I'm bullish on Bitcoin if it breaks and holds $6200 for 24-48 hours" is ambiguous? Yes, I'm now bullish on Bitcoin.

Lingham admits that it is "likely that we are at the start of a recovery". He expects that bitcoin will test new highs, saying "It might take a year or so, but we're going to test $20k again at some point in the near future."

Agreed. This is another clickbait title. Also, that statement is from an analyst who might not understand what bitcoin is, I reckon. Jgilplulg might also not have read the article because he did not include the most important item.

My speculation is it might be issued in one of the platforms we already know. The thread should be discussing what plaform would be the chosen one and have the merits of processing Facecoins hehehe?

EXCEPT THAT IT WON’T…

But regardless of the type and number of predictions put forward, one thing is sure. Facebook’s digital coin won’t be anything like Bitcoin.

It will be issued, developed and controlled by a centralized authority. Its ledger will not be immutable, and access will likely require your Facebook account.
