6321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: August 11, 2019, 02:38:15 AM
Miners usually only speculate that a cryptocoin's price will improve and that the risk taken will give them a better ROI than those other coins.

Cheap power helps, however, it will never stop them from seeking greater profit, I reckon.
Smart miners will keep running their rigs when price falls and others turn off their rigs. When difficulty falls too, they will get more coins from mining in the same period of rig operations, at same cost of electricty. In the long run, when price rallies, miners will come back, difficulty will consequently increase, and they can take profits. In general, they will get higher profits than other miners whom left when price falls deeply. Especially, this strategy should  be applied only for good altcoins, for shitcoins, applying this strategy will end with losses, because shitcoins will end with zero price, zero volume.

I reckon the smart miners should become more aggressive in mining cryptcoins that they speculate might increase in price and stop mining bearish coins.

Some of them cannot compete with big farms and have to be smart in using their GPUs, energy.

@asu. I wish I can be as optimistic as you hehehe. However, Floyd's style with the Philly shell boxing and the defensive tactics make many of his fights very boring.
6323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: August 10, 2019, 12:45:33 AM
@Febo. Agreed, however the miners might be speculating something optimistic to occur hehehe.

@RivAngE. As Febo showed, the hashrate has increased 3x in the last 3 weeks. There might be more GPU mining farms transferring from other cryptocoins to Grin.

Which would seem weird, seeing how GRIN is not that profitable so why would they come over to GRIN?
But the coins they come from might have been taken over by ASICs and FPGAs, so for whatever reason they're forced to stick with GRIN regardless of profitability.

I guess they have "free" power... Roll Eyes

@peter0425. No one's training can offset Khabib's ground game hehehe. He is the best wrestler in all of MMA. However, what Conor did not do was implement his own style on Khabib. I heard that he was also very busy in his whiskey business and left the formulation of strategy fully on John Kavanagh, which was not normal for Conor.

Floyd Mayweather drops hint he's preparing for Manny Pacquiao rematch
Woah! whoever is starting the buzz now and I don't think that this will make into reality? the question is if Manny would love the rematch against him if this is real. But this footage doesn't confirm that he's really talking about the rematch.

The link doesn't even have a say about this and I can't click the video it has, prolly I have an internet issue. But sooner or later, we'll know if they will really have a rematch although everyone has already gave up about it.

I reckon this works similar to an ICO hype scam and everyone is in. The sports news media, Pacman's group, Floyd's group and everyone who has an interest in this fight to make their money. The victims are us hehehe.

We will only be victims if we will force ourselves to watch the fight even if we are not interested watching it.
This hype really change our mind sometimes, the last one was pretty boring and here we go again, we give them a new chance hoping they'll show an exciting fight.

We will be victims again after the fight if it is as boring as the first one hehehe. But for us, it might be ok because we will only have little invested in pay per view subscriptions or nothing spent by streaming the fight illegaly. However, for the people who traveled and bought overpriced front row tickets to the fight will feel scammed hehehe.

Latest Sate of Aeon out https://link.medium.com/4bPqMI1gUY

Thank you for this update and all your state of Aeon updates. I should say that to the people outside development who keep striving for its success more often.

I honestly have been pessimistic lately, however reading this latest update helps bringing some feeling of hope back hehehe.

News on Etherdelta, it ran an ICO and exit scammed with the funds. I did not know decentralized exchanges can do this hehehe.

Chinese police investigate alleged $176,000 EtherDelta exit scam

The new owners of EtherDelta reportedly ran an ICO and then disappeared, taking the funds with them.

Non-custodial exchange EtherDelta has been reported to police for allegedly conducting an exit scam, according to Dovey Wan, a partner at cryptocurrency investment fund Primitive Ventures. The dispute involves the sale of Ethereum-based tokens native to the exchange, called EtherDelta Tokens (EDT).

@Carlton Banks. Also, if you add anonymity to any cryptocoin as a basic property, it will be a more powerful tool for owning a property that will never ever be taken away from you.

Dana might be creating a new storyboard for his pet Conor's comeback to be a champion again.

My prediction, Conor versus Jorge Masvidal will fight for the championship of a newly created 165 pound weight division on 2020.
That is a realistic possibility to make a 165 pound division and try to make Conor McGregor three weight division champion and Jorge Masvidal is a good pick, i know that uncle Dana is against the new division even though every fighter who is switching from 155 pounds to 170 pounds because they do not have any other option because of weight cutting needs a new division and it will be another stacked division if they open the 165 pound division as majority of the top fighters are in Lightweight and Welterweight division.

I reckon Dana is only against a 165 pound division unless the timing is right. 2020 might be the year. Let Khabib win versus Dustin Poirier, make Conor a champion in another division on 2020 and let them meet again in a super fight.
6332  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculating with Tom Lee on: August 07, 2019, 03:10:31 AM
@gentlemand. I was asking because Tom Lee has been an indicator to go with the opposite since the beginning of 2018. I only wanted to know what my fellow Tom fans thought hehehe.

Also, what does upping rhetoric, not reigning it mean?

It definitely appears to be acting somewhat like a safe haven,” said Brad Bechtel

Maybe he should wait until he experiences bitcoin type volatilty in full before he says something like that hehehe.

I still think we're at least 10-20 years away from BTC being big enough to be properly regarded as a 'safe haven' if it's to become that.

Bitcoin's crossed the 'safe haven' rubicon already, chaps

it's simple

if you buy anything, any other asset:

  • there's a risk you will not be permitted to own it at some point
  • there's a risk that it goes to zero (the market price, or the value of your investment once you are relieved of it's possession)

if you buy Bitcoin:

  • it cannot be re-appropriated from you
  • consequently it is always in demand
  • things that are always in demand always have a price

the only real sticking point is that not everyone has quite grokked the situation for what it is, despite Munchkin and Obomb-er referring to Bitcoin as a "swiss bank account". There's no helping some people

I know, I was only joking hehehe.

Someone new. I will buy on $12k of this safe haven coin.

News headlines the next day. Bitcoin opened the day on $10500, no reason, it just wanted to.

Hehehe.

@ً؛قو. I reckon you agree that BSV should be run on data centers hehehe?

Also, BSV holders are also finding greater fools to dump on. The founder is a scammer, the cryptocoin is centralized and no one uses it for real transactions.

BSV is #1 pump and dump coin
Unlike most cypto-coins it has lots of use-cases, way to many to list all. but here are some:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5172789

In other news, stablecoins become fashionable, is this why Ripple trying to have XPR stable?
https://www.cryptoinformers.info/news/10258-walmart-is-trying-to-patent-its-own-digital-currency-imitating-fb-libra
How long before the Amazon, Apple, Joe blows pizza place.......digital Gift Card cryptocoin where they offer xx percent discount for using it?

Those are unquestionably useless and brainless use cases on a blockchain. They are suited better for centralized data centers.

Ripple is a centralized cryptocoin, however serving a different type of need, different from bitcoin.
6335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs Fury 2: The Rematch on: August 06, 2019, 01:54:14 AM
Is Wilder versus Fury 2 a go? I reckon negotiations for this might take longer because Tyson Fury joined a different organization.

However, the Anthony Joshua versus Andy Ruiz rematch negotiations is already being finalized.

6338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ZEC] Zcash Speculation on: August 06, 2019, 12:57:50 AM
@Febo. Does zcash also have infinite inflation?

In any case, it was always expected of Grin to find a lower price equilibrium because of its infinite supply. It is good for distribution, however and avoids the moon math hodl mentality.
6339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ZEC] Zcash Speculation on: August 05, 2019, 04:00:59 AM

After almost 3 years of constant price decrease ZCash managed to got to 600k sat. Where will this end? will we see 100k sat ZEC?   Will we see similar story with Grin?

Why are you taking Grin into this? Grin is not similar to zcash where it takes a tax from each block from the miners and depends on it for its continued development.

Grin might become a similar story because of its monetary policy, however.

Bae tell me more about the endless forks of btc and the infinite efirium supply again? Hahaha

If this is possible on BTC, imagine what you can hide inside huge BSV blocks:

https://www.coindesk.com/child-porn-bitcoin-blockchain-what-it-means

Go right ahead, you can upload any file to the MetaNet just like the Internet, but dont forget that it will be linked to you forever.
https://add.bico.media/beta/
Uploading all kinds of scientific data (weather, earthquake, time-stamping and registering your astronomical discoveries on chain..........
As BSV is capitalism's on steroids uploading good quality contend will raise your net worth in years to come, illegal stuff will lower it. Your choice
It is a proper blockchain and will not "lose"  data like xrp.(on purpose to hide something, ledger 0-30k)
Welcome to MetaNet, Internet was yesterday.

Failing to scale is like driving  a Ford T model forever will others drive Ferrari's, and Lambos.
Here 800,000 payment transactions on a single block

However, BSV split into 3 different chains caused by a 210 megabyte block, didn't it? Also, why is BSV serving all that data? No one is using your blockchain?
