AFAIK, there is no restriction for newbie to create a new thread. The restriction you said is probably because you tried to post that thread in an extremely close time with your previous post. Newbie has restrictions on how many posts allowed for certain period of time. And although they still are not allowed to post images, this restriction can be cleared easily by upgrading to copper member

I would agree that having an alternative for independecy from eth clogging and gas price would extreme help and boost the usage of ethlend. There are some project that apply double chain, where their member can choose which chain would be used to process their transaction. If we can develop this feature, it would be a fresh wind for us.
