I'm not sure we can read to much into the chasing teams winning the matches right now, yes both teams chasing have won but in the first match the total wasn't all that high to chase down and England did it easy. However in this match it was a decent sized total that India were able to chase down easy. I think we'll get a better of idea on whether chasing down totals is a benefit or not in the next match.

I think Wimbledon will help Federer a lot as playing on grass is a lot stress on the body and especially the knee. So we could see him play more grass tournaments in the lead up to Wimbledon, the problem is not many tournaments are played on grass. He has to pick which tournaments will suit him leading into Wimbledon as I'm sure that will be his main goal and the Olympics.

That was a poor performance by India which I was not expecting. Kohli's poor form continues scoring a duck. I think he needs to give up being the captain so that he can concentrate on his batting. To be honest all the pressure is now on Afghanistan because Zimbabwe now have a lead even though it is only 8 runs but Afghanistan need to get these last 3 wickets quickly if they want to win the match. Zimbabwe can just take their time as a draw would see them win the series so now the pressure is on Afghanistan to get these last 3 wickets and then go on to win the match. Its been a good fight back from Zimbabwe thanks to Williams and Triipano partnership.

As I mentioned in my previous post its going to take a while before we see Federer back to match fitness. Yes he has been training and looks fit but not match fit. This is to be expected which is why I wouldn't be betting on Federer until we see him being more consistent with his matches and that he is at peak match fitness. Its sad to hear that he will be pulling out of next weeks ATP 500 tournament in Dubai but I think its the right decision until he feels that he can play up to the standard. We just hope that he doesn't end up like Murray and not be able to get back to his best.

I have not watched the match as I don't get the coverage here but I did see the highlights and I must say that Afghanistan batted well even though they are playing a poorly ranked team in Zimbabwe but still I thought they batted well to score 500+ with only losing 4 wickets. Afghanistan look to be a much better team from the last time they played Zimbabwe but the pitch does look like a batting pitch so we shall see how well Zimbabwe bat which so far are doing well at 0 for 50.

Yeah its going to take a few matches and tournaments for Federer to get back to 100% match fitness. Its ok to train and build up from training but its not like playing matches. I think Federer will be using this tournaments to build towards the Olympics as he will be aiming for that singles gold medal which is one title he doesn't have currently. It was great to see him back playing again and we hope that he can do well this year and get back to being a top ranked player again.

That's an amazing achievement for Djokovic, when we break it down into years, its almost 6 years which is crazy to think. I will say now that I don't think we'll see this record broken within our lifetime unless there is one dominant player. Also we need to take note that Djokovic has been able to do this while we still have Nadal, Federer and even Murray at the top of their games in these years so it just makes it even more special that Djokovic has been able to achieve this. @Kemarit and I said years ago on here that Djokovic will most likely be the player to have won the most grand slams and its looking very likely now.

The only way I can see this number record broken is if we see just one player dominate tennis for years with out much competition from the other players but even with the young talent coming through, it looks like it will be spread between them all as in my opinion there is no stand out young player right now as they are all around the same mark right now.

India are very strong at home, its like how Australia was in the 90's where they never lost a test series at home and even didn't lose many test matches. What I find interesting about this chart is that all three teams seem to struggle against South Africa but then again SA was a strong team until recently. Its going to be an interesting test match final as I think New Zealand and India are about evenly matched and no home ground advantage makes it even more interesting to see which team will benefit from the conditions.

I didn't get to watch Tsitsipas match but it seems as though he is still struggling with playing consistent. We are now heading into the clay season where he doesn't seem to play all that well so I'll be keeping an eye on him to see if he has improved on clay.

I'm really looking forward to this test match final. Lets just hope that all goes well when the time comes, it does seem as though the UK are starting to get this virus under control so we should be fine. I'm sure there will be a lot of interest in this final as I think its had added some interest in test matches even dead rubber matches as teams will want to win all matches to get a chance to play in the test match final. Its hard to say which team is favourite right now as both teams have been in top form so its going to be a great match.
