Bought $500 worth of corn on Paypal, for, reasons (?) and it's now worth $503 or something.

Winning ?

EDIT: OK. Bought another $500 worth of corn on Gemini to cleanse my spirit, and balance the karmic scales.

Here I am in the Wall Observer thread in November 2020, when for the first time in quite a while, it seems there's some significant Walls to Observe.

Lots of folks wanting to cash in now that we're near ATHs again it seems ^_^

Completely understandable. People that bought near the top of the last rally are finally in the green again, so they might be looking to get off the roller-coaster.

Me, I'm thinking of holding out for $25k USD/BTC before deciding to convert to some gravy again.

All depends on how insane Rick and I decide to build on our ranch, but either way, have enough allocated for land and a "reasonable" couple-few structures on the land; main home, concrete/steel garage, and barn of some sort.

Onward, gentlemen.

Fuck getting any "work" done today. Getting sloshed on greyhounds, and praying for a nicely lubed $1,000 USD green dildo today.

Been away for a bit. Did you sell some around the 16k mark bob?
I remember you were talking about it if btc reached 16k

Cashed out a chunk @ $16,250 USD/BTC.

Rick is retiring early, end of February as a result.

Totally worth it.

Check out HEX ya moron, was just 3 days of work for free. You think you can do that?

really? are you both retired now?

Rick is working towards a clean, professional exit, early in the New Year, that coincides with a final round of stock vesting.
1495  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 18, 2020, 11:11:57 AM
wow. that was a proper dump. Jesus.

Almost recovered. I love this game !!

I am assuming you held more coin for the 25-30k cash out opportunity.😄

Yeah, OK. Your advice squares away with my understanding of tax obligations; pay what you owe at the end of the quarter, when it is expected by the IRS.

Holding onto plenty more corn Wink Gut is telling me to wait until $50k USD/BTC before considering selling again.

I'm good for a long while, unless Rick and I go full-retard building Ranchero Lawblaw.

We *ARE* likely going full-retard building the ranch house, tho. Pretty sure we have enough already stashed away for that, either way...

...did not have any cash to pay the tax man.
If your tax bill is 400k at least send in 200k don’t  fuck around.

I'm not concerned about my lack of discipline, with respect to touching the funds allocated for tax, but now that you mention it, don't you start to accrue penalties or something (interest owed ?) depending on when/how much you sell in the quarter ?

Don't feel like emailing my tax dude right now... Rick just asked why not wait until end of Q4 to pay tax ?

Current max tax rate in US for long-term gains is 20%.

Oh, fucking bonus ! Thought is was 23.8% or something (was at some point ?). That extra 3.8% will probably buy Rick a new gold codpiece he's been eyeing...
1498  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 17, 2020, 07:58:41 PM
This is a very weird feeling I am having right now, brothers.

Bitcoin is mooning, and I have zero desire to sell any further, after just pulling off that early retirement maneuver with Rick.

Already allocated most of the funds; "Smart Portfolios" for healthcare costs, for each of us, for the next 30-40 years or so, with money left over to buy a shit-tonne of acreage in North-East Texas, and cash left over for stupid shit. Maybe enough left over to build "Ranchero Lawblaw", but will evaluate once that time comes - need to keep a savage chunk for tax withholding.

Ffffff...

Onward to $18k USD/BTC, gentlemen.

#blessed
