1081  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin run up is coming on: November 19, 2021, 04:33:42 PM
For some people might say something like that will happen, but maybe there will be a way to deal with inflation without having to run to bitcoin, inflation has always existed even before bitcoin, and that problem can also be solved. we just don't know for sure how it happened. CMIIW
There can be another ways or options that is a certain hedge against inflation, like rare metals like gold, platinum and silver or something rare and scarce like limited in suppy. You can also do stocks or real-estate, but it's up to you depending what kind you prefer to invest or your area of expertise to temporarily escape from inflation.
Although among those choices stated above, I can still say that bitcoin is the best and safest bet anyone could invest because the value is indeed rising quitely due to limited supply-and-demand. If you choose to hold bitcoin then you're in the safe hands and the risk is reduced from medium to minimal.
1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Floki Inu vs Shiba Inu on: November 19, 2021, 03:40:25 PM
Floki vs Shiba Inu? Nope, it's a real hard pass for me OP. They're both memecoin which is considered a shitcoin and it's a bad decision to get your hands on it. And really it's a waste of time trying to get lucky or put some hope that this coins is going to explode soon, don't forget about the risk or meme trap.
Floki Inu is just getting hyped because someone instantly created it after Elon Musk's tweet about his puppy. It won't last long, soon this certain coin ain't gonna be remembered either.
Well, that's just my opinion and I don't control your decisions, so feel free to do whatever you want. Just remember the risks of your decision, because you might end up getting disappointed or worse. So, I advice you to invest in some stablecoins instead, there's a lot of options in the market.
1083  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat banks and the government. on: November 19, 2021, 03:07:41 PM
Can the banks challenge the policies from the government? Are the banks working for the people or the government? is there any possibility that banks can operate freely entirely from government policies?
Banks is a financial institution whos regulations and laws are dictated and controlled from the government, so it's more like banks are working for government and they're related with each other.
And certainly not, banks can't really deviate or depart from an established agreement or law from the government. If banks suddenly change its course to operate freely away from government, it would literally mean termination.
1084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York's Mayor-Elect to Take His First Paychecks in Bitcoin on: November 19, 2021, 03:24:35 AM
He is taking it in Bitcoin but he is still taking the USD. It is not like he is getting paid in a fixed amount of BTC every month so it doesn't really make a difference whether he is taking it in btc or USD. Come to think of it, such thing will never possible with btc anyway because of its scarcity.

Payments with Bitcoin in definite amounts are not small. the salary of a politician in New York must be quite large. When he accepts payments in Bitcoin, then what if he completely sells everything. Because he is neither a merchant nor a holder. Obviously what he needed was USD. Surely the impact on the price of Bitcoin will be quite visible.
Even if we say the salary of NY Mayor is big, I don't think it will have an impact on the price of bitcoin. So even if he sells everything, it won't give a dent on the market. With this initiative, his constituents will be curious about bitcoin and crypto in general. So they will think that if their Mayor is trusting btc, it means it is legit. Because let's admit the fact that a lot of noncrypto users are still thinking that crypto is a scam or fraud.
I think the newly elected Mayor of New York is just joining the crypto movement or bandwagon to gain more popularity which makes him win recently. Receiving his salary in the form of bitcoin 3x doesn't even mean he's into crypto, surely it wouldn't make an impact about him entirely. The bitcoin needs to be more regulated in that specific state to maintain the name of biggest ecomomy and center of all finance in the USA, and citizens need to be more informed so that they'll know more about crypto rather than seeing it as a sort of scam.
Anyways, him bring the name of bitcoin already means well. Let's just see for now what he might bring in this industry.
1085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: November 18, 2021, 05:48:28 PM
How about Porter by KO?

That x15 is very sweet, I'm sure everyone is betting on Crawford to win but since Porter has not been KO in his fights, then maybe he has a chance to pull an upset and that is by knocking out Crawford. Does anyone sees it possible to happen?

Not sure if he can pull a KO against Crawford mate. Unless he is extremely lucky and caught Crawford coming it and then he it him so hard that he didn't see it coming.

But in any case, I'm not seeing it happening, Crawford is too intelligent to be KO. If there is a chance for Porter to pull an upset, it might be in the judges score card with a split decision win.
That x15 is indeed very sweet and attractive but if only Porter can fortunately manage to get that lucky punch to knock Crawford out. But I think it's way too impossible for Porter to pull a knockout punch, I really don't see that it would be possible. I mean look at Crawford's jaw, by the looks of it, you can already see it.
The only possible outcome is either of them can win via split-decision or chances are Porter getting knocked-out by Crawford.
1086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk accidentally created a new cryptocurrency. WTF? on: November 18, 2021, 04:59:11 PM
The Elon meme coin trend is still continuing and more and more new meme coins are popping up, and until now I've only been a loyal viewer because until now I don't have one of these meme coins.  for some reason the interest in adopting him is very reduced even though often sees people posting his profits by investing in coin memes
things like this will continue to happen because the followers of influencers and fomos are increasing and what is worrying is that there are newbies.
as for those of you who do not follow it is a good choice in my opinion because this is indeed a risky thing and the possibility of being trapped in it is very large.
Exactly! Memetrap isn't easy, you may lose a lot of funds for putting a trust on that coin or hoping it may explode somehow. But in some instances, there are other cases who somehow gained for joining the hype, they're indeed smart about it and lucky enough that they made some serious profits but those things are so risky so personally I prefer to keep my distance about those coins. I'm aware about it so it's better to be safer than sorry.
As a matter of fact, Elon does really knows how to use his fame and brain to purposely gain profits, a lot of it! To think that Elon just tweeted about Shiba Inu and few moments after that, that certain coin is shaking and its market value drastically rising. What more if Warren Buffet and Bill Gates decides to join too.  Grin
1087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest issue with Bitcoin wallets? on: November 18, 2021, 03:52:57 PM
A mobile wallet with an alert via SMS to acknowledge the receipt of an incoming coin just like a bank alert will be a welcome idea, I think blockchain has such feature and moreso easy to navigate user interface and not too complex sort of like in some wallets thus newbie friendly and most importantly 2FA is very important to improve the security of the wallet, if the wallet can feature signing of messages like electrum for authentication using mobile phone not necessarily or always on PC
I believe coins.ph does that also, and I've been using it since then. I prefer it more because it's user friendly and newbie friendly also. It alerts me every transactions that have took place like example sending and receiving via SMS and email. And it has a 2FA which is the most important thing to secure my wallet and my informations.
In case some of you doesn't know coins.ph yet, it is a wallet and a conversion platform which is backed by blockchain. And I'm also using electrum but it's where I choosed receive any crypto currency especially btc before sending it to my personal wallet for security purposes.
1088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata December 29 on: November 18, 2021, 02:39:28 PM
This is going to be an easy GGG battle for me. I haven't watched a fight of this Murata but looking at their statistics it seems obvious to me Golovkin has all the advantages. Not to mention that Ryota has been inactive prior to this fight for two full years. That will definitely matter. Of course, Golovkin, too, has been inactive but only for one year. It always bothers me why Golovkin was not given a fight for a year when age is not on his side anymore. Anyway, I'm a GGG fan and I still consider this man undefeated.

Good point, actually both of them are inactive, but Murata for 2 years.

So definitely there will be ring rust for him, although the fight is going to be held in his country, still being out for more than a year in boxing will really affect you in the beginning. And when you try to find your groove, it might be too late as we all know that GGG will always makes it a hard fight for anyone.

But Murata is no push over, he might be inactive for 2 years, but he is a champion. And like in NBA wherein you play in your home court and you have all the confidence because you know the crowd is behind you, this might be the case for Murata here.

He could be behind the judges scorecard, but for sure he will give everything in this fight because he wanted to please the local crowd and he is viewed as a hero in boxing.
Indeed this Japanese boxer is viewed as a hero for the people of Japan and Murata either won't be a duck soup for GGG, infact Murata is a silver and gold medalist in 2011 and 2012 olympics, respectively. Sea games and olympic boxing matches alone isn't gonna be an easy path and surely it counts as an experience but his boxing record is only 18 matches, so I suppose that matches he had in the olypics wasn't included.
So I bet it's gonna be a tough fight, GGG isn't going to have an easy fight because surely this Japanese boxer isn't easy to handle.
1089  Economy / Economics / Re: Will we see new ATH this year? on: November 17, 2021, 05:47:51 PM
After waiting almost 6 months when the bitcoin price reached $65k then last october it has passed $65k and a few days ago we reached new ATH at $68600, but I believe in November now there is still a chance to make new ATH again because when many I was worried when the price hit new ATH and dropped drastically but the price was able to stay above $60k this proves that the $100k price will soon be reached.
Recently, these past few days were a bit slow because the price of bitcoin is quite declining but luckily it's steady about 60,000 USD and hasn't gone below that mark yet. And we have more than a month left, so it's still possible that the market will likely approach to a new ATH somewhere $80k - $85k only until the end this year. I think that $100k mark is too high for this year, but maybe we can see it in 1st quarter next year before the bear market starts.
1090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin brings us true freedom of thought on: November 17, 2021, 03:48:47 PM
I agree with you.
Satoshi Nakamoto was, in my opinion, a real philosopher and scientist, and he changed the definition of money for us, Satoshi showed us that money can also be exchanged with information, and that anyone with any level of information can sell their information, and something more important to me than that is the transparency debate that Bitcoin can implement.

Precisely for this freedom, soon the world will open its eyes, they will begin to tax this too! They understood that we must adapt, they will certainly do it, we will find ourselves in serious difficulty, I believe in bitcoin despite everything ..

USA has been taxing it's citizens who are receiving or using bitcoin as a source of income, it's been always been their mission to tax almost evertything who are making money of all sorts. That's why crytpocurrencies in the said country is very legal. And about the bank, they're in the state of pressure now because as time goes by more and more people doesn't trust banks.
Bitcoin indeed gave is freedom to and knowledge about the society nowadays, it opened our eyes more about the real situation and how to guard yourself against inflation. And also to secure your future.
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 17, 2021, 02:43:36 PM
As of today, there are 6 people who vote for Logan Paul. Like really? I wonder for those who voted for him if it's true or they're tripping. If it's true what's their opinion or analysis.

Because IMO, this match will likely end in-favor for Mike Tyson not because he's still a tough fighter but because this match is to commemorate Mike Tyson for being the Legend like Muhammad Ali. Logan Paul should stop accepting exhibition fight tho, if he's willing to be a boxer then he should take the path like his younger brother did.
1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do with 20,000 Dogecoins? on: November 16, 2021, 10:51:16 AM
20,000 Dogecoins is already a huge amount these days, and as of today it's approximately 8,384 USD. There's nothing wrong with your decisions, it's your coins and you have every right where you want to put it. And it's okay to put something in Dogecoin hoping it will achieve another ATH. As I see you handled it correctly especially putting some for ethereum and others for Shiba. And if I were you, I probably invest in BCH too.

But my question is, why didn't you put something in bitcoin?
1093  Economy / Economics / Re: There are many online jobs out there. Crypto Opportunity. on: November 16, 2021, 09:10:13 AM
The biggest opportunity for online jobs right now is crypto, as we know that the crypto market cap continues to increase due to the large amount of money coming in from various companies and individuals so this is the best opportunity to earn in crypto, it's easy to earn at least $ 1000 and many people have been successful from crypto.

We cannot say the biggest since there are still free lancing website which offer more bigger payments to their experience workers and I still see many people accept fiat which earning huge money for doing freelance work and they are quite stable compare to crypto but for sure maybe in 5 to 10 years timespan we can say that it is since the crypto market is expanding and for sure many employer or client will use crypto as their primary method for payments to their workers.
For now crypto industry isn't the biggest platform that offers certain services or opportunity to those who needs jobs. But time will certainly come that crypto is the most sought after jobs for everyone who knows this kind of industry. We are among the lucky ones who are introduced and found this line of job.
@arwin100 is right that there are still a lot who prefers fiat as a salary but we don't really know that they're alreay into using cryptocurrencies to invest. Especially when bitcoin peps are making a lot of noise nowadays.
1094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are they against PoW? on: November 16, 2021, 07:14:16 AM
They just can't point fingers on other industries that harnesses similar or even greater energy and produces similar or greater wastes because it will hurt their relationship with such industries. Bitcoin and crypto mining relying on PoW are easy targets, mainly because not a lot of countries and businesses are into it just yet. I understand the sentiments of those who signed on the Paris agreement that are trying so hard to reach their pledges, but they should also look into other industries that uses large amounts of energy and produces just as much waste in the end.

Then again, the fingers are already pointed, and sure enough bitcoin and crypto will take direct hit and be persecuted harshly and might even be blamed as the number one contributor in rising temperatures.
This is just an another attack regarding the PoW of bitcoin, it's just an another approach to bring an end to bitcoin or cease it. But still bitcoin stand at the pinnacle until now, and it is became more famous and trusted amongst the literate people.
Yes bitcoin is easy to make a target because they can't sue any owner of it but it's invulnerable to any attact and the more they attack, the more it will continue to grow.
And about that issue, bitcoin miners will be using solar panels or other eco-friendly way to ensure and minimize the GHG effect.
1095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul on: November 16, 2021, 05:33:46 AM
But as his legendary bother says:

Quote
"No disrespect to Jake Paul, but like I said to Tommy, if he can’t knock Jake Paul out, fly to a foreign country and stay there because he ain’t coming home.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/tyson-fury-if-tommy-ko-jake-paul-he-coming-home--161893

But we all know that this is not a real fight, and it could be set up that there will be no knock down clause, similar to other high profile exhibitions games that we have seen so far.

Probably his Tyson just wanted to create more hype on his brother's fight so that it can get a good revenue in PPV.
That is certainly a possibility, however I would not be surprised if he was being serious as well, after all we know that Tyson Fury is the best heavyweight at the moment, this means that he obviously takes boxing seriously even if that does not seem to be the case when he is in front of a camera.

With this in mind then it is not difficult to imagine Tyson Fury demanding that his brother wins by KO, because if he cannot KO an amateur boxer then what hope he has against the professionals that are way better than Jake Paul?
Yup, Tyson should be able to knockout Jake Paul to advance to a much higher league where professionals is waiting to take and taste some amateur fighters. No offense, I mean, Jake Paul is also a tough fighter with a clean record but sadly he won't get this fight in his favor. Tyson is much more experienced than him and fought fighters with more experience than him, Jake's recent fights are all debut.
1096  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks will die crypto will take over in 5-10 years on: November 15, 2021, 04:13:05 PM
Even if we like it or not, banks will certainly not die, it will always be there standing and scattered around our cities. And it is indeed a fact for more than a century now. Chances are banks nowadays are willing to adopt cryptocurrency to add more options to people to trust the banks again and to let them guard your money.
Why? Because some people will still choose fiat over cryptocurrency for certain purposes like to buy groceries, and needs for everyday living or even pay bills.
But in my opinion, I don't like banks nowadays because they often ask too personal questions and it doesn't make any sense to me. I mean, who cares where we get money or where would our money go isn't their responsibility anymore, it's our money and we pay the banks for the money's security and not to worry about where we got it or where we send it. That's why I enjoyed crypto so much because it gave me so much knowledge how to secure my own money without any help from other sources to guard it.
1097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: November 15, 2021, 12:21:06 PM
blockchain, crytocurrency and bitcoin gave me knowledge about how money and investments work. Before I knew bitcoin I never thought about investing at my age and my first investment was cryptocurrency and it changed my thinking about the importance of investing from a young age.
Same here mate, infact bitcoin too is my first investment and thankfully it was introduced to me by a fellow family member few years back. It taught me how to control money and to be patient enough to wait for the proper time until I can reap what I sow.
I really appreciated this kind of industry, especially bitcoin. It provided me money to support myself and my family financially and helped me live comfortably.
1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors desire on meme coins are insane on: November 15, 2021, 09:23:22 AM
I see this as a way of gambling, but now you have gambled and make profit, you can easily just convert your meme coin to bitcoin so that you will not fall into meme trap of bearish market. The bear market will mostly not favor meme coins, the bull market that happens recently really helped you.

It's good that the OP have handled the meme coins well and generated more profits than bitcoins and ethereum combined.
@Oshosondy every investment is a gamble already because the outcome is unpredictable that's why it needs time and effort to maintain capital without losing. Even traders alone is at risk of losing because the gamble they're unto is so risky.
I guess December or early January will be the start of bear market, we should prepare our pockets to make it as our advantage.
1099  Economy / Economics / Re: Miami Mayor Will Allow Employee salaries in Bitcoin on: November 15, 2021, 08:15:39 AM
When the mayor said like that, it didn't suprise me because the policy which is implemented will be tried to the leader first. This is an action which push the society's trust to the policy. However, I dont think this will change much things because someone who didn't like the Bitcoin will not change as easy as they think. Need many literations for them to accept the policy happily
Ofcourse the the implementation will be tried and test it to the leaders first to improve the outcome and where should the personal touches are necessary before the employees can have their salaries in bitcoin form. But it's just an option wether they would like to receive it in cash or crypto.
And yes there will be always someone or a group of people who will oppose every law to be implemented and it's not surprising at all. Bitcoin is still new to someone's ears and they need to be informed enough before they change their mind, and if a movement will start and a lot of people are already using it, they will eventually follow the flow.
1100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your strategy to carry on making money when Bitcoin turns bearish on: November 15, 2021, 06:17:52 AM
There's some various ways to still gain money or carry on money making. But it usually depends how you handle it or how ready you are when the bitcoin starts to turn bearish.
Hodling coins is still a profitable but it needs more patience due to the bear market. Or you can join signature campaigns in this forum but I'm quite sure you already joined one. You can also do some marginal trading but you need to be more focus and put an extra effort and time to gain because you will buy and sell any small movements in the market to gain profit.
I know bear market wil gonna be a headache but it depends you handle it smartly and still make profits even the market is declining.

If you need some more ways to earn while the market is bearish. Here are some examples and ways to earn that I found on the internet.
