1301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi has how many Bitcoins? on: December 08, 2013, 03:14:25 PM
Satoshi was an idealist, it is very doubtful that he mined a hoard of BTC greater than or even equal to a minute fraction of the Winklevoss brothers or that chinese millionaire.
1302  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it the end of BTC??? on: December 02, 2013, 05:59:53 AM
this is the big crash, is down to 900 and keep going dow....

What do we do?Huh??

Obviously you do not panic.

Also don't be greedy, seriously, money can't be pulled out of a magic hat with no risk....

In the long-term bitcoin can still go up at least another 10 times (within 4 years).

Now we have to switch to using mBTC, especially when dealing with exchange rates.
1303  Other / Off-topic / Re: Price of BitCoins at the end of the year on: December 02, 2013, 05:49:48 AM
3,373.03.... With a rounding error of infinity!
1304  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I am currently country shopping. What are some good ones? on: December 02, 2013, 05:43:59 AM
I don't know if it is possible but take a look at the United Arab Emirates, Dubai!
1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Tigercoin - TGC | SHA256 with Super Random Blocks | Please Upgrade to V1.1 on: December 02, 2013, 05:36:55 AM
Hello
Ive just downloaded a new wallet and I cant get it to sync is there someone that can help

Thanks

To get it to sync try the following steps.

1. Go to your tigercoin.exe directory.
2. Create a shortcut of tigercoin-qt.exe
3. Go to properties.
3. Change target to tigercoin-qt.exe -reindex -par1
4. Run Tigercoin though that shortcut (It will start the blockchain from the start again, it should take some time)
5. Delete that shortcut (if you reuse it it will re-index the blockchain which takes lots of time)

Tell me if it worked!
1306  Other / Off-topic / Re: Post your pic! on: November 30, 2013, 01:52:08 AM
I don't think that is you -.- and posting your pic on the internet isn't safe, even on facebook

If you're talking about me, both were pictures of me.

Well, tell that to the other 800 Million people who have their pictures on facebook.

I don't think there are people out there trying to get me anyway. And if they were they would probably know me IRL anyway so that wouldn't help.

Say a deranged fellow student at the college wants to murder me for sleeping with his girlfriend. He gets a hammer and waits for me to be vulnerable... I go to get on my bike and he smashes my head with a hammer into bits. I'm dead and my facebook  picture had nothing to do with it.

Or I'm climbing a tree and I fall down and break my neck, again facebook isn't nearly as dangerous as the world we live in.
1307  Other / Off-topic / Re: Post your pic! on: November 30, 2013, 01:42:45 AM
how much to post your correct address phone number and next of kin?

My phone is broken atm (I'll be getting the note 3 pretty soon)! So, technically I don't have a phone. I have no children. I don't live on a house I own personally.

Considering the above you get... (let me calculate it)

Let's see *pressing calcuator numbers furiously*

The total comes out to just about 15 pens.... Otherwise known as Pen15.
1308  Other / Off-topic / Re: Post your pic! on: November 30, 2013, 01:31:12 AM
nice pics, speaker.
really no need for makeup, why hide the natural beauty of your face.
if you lived near my place, i'd instantly do a shooting with you. (no second thoughts here, just meant from artistic perspective)
and somehow you remind me of my exgirlfriend in her younger years. (kay there are the second thoughts Cheesy)
you really fit the model type for subculture clothing line's target group. ever thought of modeling for photoshoots?

oh, if i'm not too late i'll have #8, please.

sidenote on the OT cockpicdiscussion: how cheap is your dignity?
NSFW: http://trilema.com/2013/they-really-are-buttcoins-nao/

There is a cap of ~21M bitcoins, my post was a joke!

In truth my dignity is worth around 5,000 BTC..... It is worth it, with that money I could do anything I possibly want...

I want to buy a tesla x and use it as my home to travel around the world....with that kind of money I could be a high-tech nomad, the ideal lifestyle for me. I doubt people would pester me and if they did I'd just put a restraining order on them.

Dignity isn't everything.

Speaker was first, she gets the bitcent!

I knew I should have went and edited my profile  Sad
1310  Other / Off-topic / Re: Post your pic! on: November 30, 2013, 01:06:30 AM

I would give you 2.1 beetcoins for that picture (do not confuse them with bitcoins) I could pay a programmer to clone bitcoin and rename it into beetcoin and recompile for 1/100 of 2.1 Bitcoins!

only if you use my cock as the logo. i'm more about creativity and individualism, so how about we call it phallus coin? the symbol would be PC, but the topic wouldn't.

once it gets off the ground (no pun intended), further denominations would be: dick coins (one tenths of a phallus coin), and dong coins (one hundreths).

That concept is already better than 99% of altcoins.

The value of this coin would be the equivalent of a dick pick (or very low) so we should make about 4.5 Billion of them as the cap. The block reward should increase and fall down to make the diagram of a dick every 8 weeks, because everyone knows that 8=D.

I can't help but think all of this is getting a little bit too off-topic for the off-topic section, it should be moved to alternate cryptocurrencies.
1311  Other / Off-topic / Re: Post your pic! on: November 30, 2013, 12:54:02 AM
I'll post a picture with my cock hanging out for 24 Million Bitcoins.

I'll take nothing less than 21.5 Million. Any takers?

i'm not greedy like you. i'd show pix of my cock for a mere 2.1 BTC.. and even then, i would feel like i gotta total steal, especially considering that i didn't have to pay for people to see my cock.

Whoever can uncover my identity first and finds a picture of me gets 1 bitcent, seriously

You have two hours.

Correct first and last name as well as picture of me counts as a win.

I'm no satoshi nakamoto and I'm sure there are ways of tracking me down so I wonder, can someone find me just like that?

A lot of people use bitcoin to be anonymous, that is why many of us here are reluctant to use pictures!

However people who can separate their wallets or have wallets that keep their btc inputs and outputs to the ledger separate can be completely anonymous even if they reveal their identity to the forum here.
This thread made me think you were some sort of agent trying to gather information...

Here is a pretty girl, post your pictures so CIA can track you down and shut you down. I'm sure similar things have happened before.... You gotta use a professional model though. After the 2 hours are finished I may post a picture and the precious bitcent stays forever in my possession. (Until I spend it to buy some beer).

That is the sha-256 of my correct name, First Middle Last

1314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: November 29, 2013, 11:46:41 PM
I can't find securecoin anywhere on the site, considering it's extreme upward movements I'd like to see it there, it would save me a lot of time in market cap calculations.
1315  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: announcement: the international "when-bitcoin-reaches 1000,- $ party" on: November 28, 2013, 12:22:25 PM

seriously, we need a countdown-ticker as soon as the 24h average crosses 1000

how can i implement something like this in op ?

It will also need to reset every time the number drops below 1000.

Or you could use this http://countdownimages.org/ and manually reset if the average moves over or under the 1000 mark. (Which hopefully won't be too often).

Edit: I didn't see the security thread about images.

The countdown can be at the official party website, it doesn't need to be in the OP too.

1318  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: announcement: the international "when-bitcoin-reaches 1000,- $ party" on: November 28, 2013, 12:01:04 PM
There is a huge wall @ 1000.

The wall seems to be past 1000... 2.8k BTC!

I'm sure it is psychological, everyone will wait until 1000 so that they can try to buy a bunch of things and it is just the time of year (in the western world). But as bitcoin is global that effect may be mitigated somewhat by non-western traders.

Say Johnie wants a samsung note 3 and has 0.7 Bitcoins or so. He waits until it reaches 1k, it makes sense because he doesn't want to be cheated.

Say there are 50 thousand Johnies that are doing the same.

I wonder how close my insane theory is to reality.
1319  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: announcement: the international "when-bitcoin-reaches 1000,- $ party" on: November 28, 2013, 11:53:16 AM
The price is at $999!

Going to 1000 in less than an hour!
