1322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin has ascended! Which currency will be next? on: November 28, 2013, 01:31:40 AM
I'll look up zerocoin....

I'll be honest, I voted for your mom for lack of SRC or ANC on that list.

That options seems to be functioning as the "other" option.

EDIT:  Now I saw there is an actual "other" option...
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin has ascended! Which currency will be next? on: November 28, 2013, 01:06:06 AM
Either anoncoin or securecoin......

I only have half a dozen anoncoins so I don't really care that much.... I wish I had bought a bunch of LTC before the price soared! Oh, wait, I did! 17 of them!

Who could have expected litecoin to go up so rapidly? Literally everyone! I expected litecoin to go to 0.1 BTC longterm at the very least. Now we're almost halfway there!
1324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Goldcoin (GLD) be added to the scam/sh*tcoin list? on: November 26, 2013, 11:38:05 PM
I hate everything about that coin. Let's just keep coins that make sense such as anoncoin and securecoin.

Ultimately those are going to outperform GLD dozens of times over. They actually have legitimate reasons for existing.
1325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Tigercoin - TGC | SHA256 with Super Random Blocks | Please Upgrade to V1.1 on: November 26, 2013, 02:06:23 PM
is difficulty too high? or i can`t find anymore blocks mining solo? no blocks in 4 hour on 7gh/s

It's either bad luck or your setup isn't right. You should have found some blocks with difficulty that low (I believe it is around 1700)
If you keep getting nothing try mining at a pool.
1326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] New Bit coin NBCOIN is coming - combines the advantages of btc and ltc on: November 26, 2013, 01:50:30 PM
The developer seems to have been inactive for nearly 2 months.

Just call it "DigiCoin".

Thank me later.  Wink

Why didn't anyone listen. This was a brilliant idea!
1328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I'm boycotting bitcoins. on: November 19, 2013, 12:28:15 AM
Bitcoin is one of the greatest things that ever happened. It leveled the financial plane so that all of us can be free from the mess of the previous system if we chose to use it.

The community is here with the common purpose to promote it, discuss it and build on top of it. If I where you, I'd educate myself first, delete my account and then create another one to have a fresh start in this great part of history.

If you are closed minded and ignorant enough of reality as well as naive enough to believe the fiat of your government and the bankers have your best interest in mind you should stay out of the crypto scene.

Since-fuckyou-rely

1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SRC] SecureCoin | A Fast and Secure Version of Bitcoin | LAUNCHED on: November 18, 2013, 02:10:59 PM
I am trying to mine some SRC using minerd64_sse4.exe but I can't get it to work.

All I get is json_rpc_call failed...

Does that mean I have to have the securecoin client on the PC I'm trying to mine it?

No. Simply create a shortcut to minerd64_sse4.exe on your desktop and add the following after properties > Target: "...minerd64_sse4.exe"

-a quark -t (number of cores) -o http:// pooladdress:port --userpass=Username:Password

Thank you, everything is working! I had tried doing the shortcut thing but I had bad syntax.

(I missed the ":" between the username and password.)

There is also a misspell on the pool that I am using. They have secure coin (SRC) as (SCR)

Japool isn't working for me, I'm hashing but I can't find my stats or address in the payout queue, I'll try another pool.

1331  Economy / Economics / Re: We might break $1000 before the end of year because of the number 8 on: November 17, 2013, 01:06:11 PM
If there was any credibility to this then we should be able to find evidence in Chinese stock prices when they approach 8's and 4's.

I doubt it matters enough to leave any noticeable sign

Do it.

It is doubtful that the BTC price will be driven only by such a small factor. Supply and demand are far more important. The bitcoin price going up continuously means that there are many people wanting to use Bitcoin as a store of value, that can only mean that if supply keeps as it is, the price will explode upwards. If the Chinese buy as a store of value, the value will only go up. It is funny that using bitcoin as a store of value makes it a better one.
1332  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "Internet Kill Switch" on: November 15, 2013, 07:53:12 PM
We'll still have TOR, we'll still have Bitcoin, we'll still have eachother.
That kill switch is really only a decentralize-everything-switch.

Of course, plus if the internet dies, you still have your bitcoins. Connecting to the internet will not be easy but it won't be impossible either.

If you're an early adopter you can just move to another country and finance your move with Bitcoins.

If someone tried to kill the internet there would be a revolution in the US. Everyone would be pissed.
1333  Other / Politics & Society / Re: People who do not believe in Jesus Christ are blind and deaf on: November 15, 2013, 07:47:14 PM
I do not believe in an all-powerful invisible man in the sky.

I am neither blind, nor deaf both of which are obvious to me and the people around me.

Christianity is a patchwork of religions founded by a Jewish rabbi and re-written edited for many years by people who believed in different things.

Let me just say this. People who believe in Christianity are awfully gullible.
1334  Economy / Economics / Re: Why iam seeing a bright future in the value of BTC on: November 15, 2013, 07:37:03 PM
Intuitively, I feel like Bitcoin is overbought at this point and time.

I'm not saying Bitcoin can't return and maintain these levels in the future but right now this price is not sustainable. Moving forward there is going to be a division within the Bitcoin community as the redlists or blacklists are introduced as this is in opposition to the core of Satoshi's ideal. This division will see some people remaining loyal to a Bitcoin that sells out to establishment pressure while others embrace altcoins that stay true to the principles of individual freedom, decentralization, and deregulation.

If the objective is to further the dream of Satoshi and to grow wealth, the path now is clearly that of the altcoin.

How exactly do you think that altcoins are more decentralized than Bitcoin? There is no proof that the bitcoin community is divided into redlists and blacklists.

In bitcoin, no-one stops you from using a pseudonym, you can have as many identities as you wish and for the most part you won't have to go through a single central point to do what you want.

Satoshi's vision was already violated when GPU mining became a thing. According to his own posts.

When I think of altcoins that have no reason for existing I can only think of greed, not some idealistic vision that is shared by Satoshi.

I see a lot of potential for bitcoin to reach and surpass $1000 dollars per BTC, it will, then inevitably drag all the altcoins with it as their values are largely set on bitcoin. Two great currencies like Bitcoin and Litecoin can control each-other and when bitcoin becomes wide enough, people can make their everyday purchases of food and other stuff with litecoin and their big purchases with bitcoin. That is a pretty ideal vision of the scene. An altcoin such as SXC is not apparently easy but it is a very interesting way to measure the market cap of sex-related things. If there was wide enough adoption of sexcoin it has the potential of keeping us more anonymous. I see a bright present and I predict a bright future for BTC and LTC.

1336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Speculate LITECOIN value a year later on: November 13, 2013, 01:59:09 PM
I believe litecoin, in terms of bitcoin will reach a 4/1 ratio meaning that 4 litecoins will buy a bitcoin or something similar. I also believe that bitcoin will hit 1000 dollars within 3-5 years therefore litecoin will be worth around 3 to 5 hundred dollars divided by 4 each around Nov 2014 or the equivalent of 75 to 125 dollars per litecoin.....

That is my very inexperienced guess...
1337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The One Thing Bitcoin Has Taught Me ... on: November 12, 2013, 03:23:21 PM
Golden opportunities always happen and the future is unpredictable with only a few signs for when opportunity strikes.

Imagine mining 1000 coins with a cpu back at the very start of bitcoin for example.....

@Valerian77: arenīt bitcoin somewhat banned in thailand ?
@beetcoin: help us finding sponsors and we can invite you  Wink
@syke: 420 is a brilliant milestone, letīs have this party...  letīs say... tomorrow ?  Grin
@KonstantinosM: hope you donīt mind that we quote your post in op

I was out in the rough seas on an inflatable kayak, I camped overnight in Anclote key, Some people sunk with their wooden boat at the time. they were lucky that someone was close by and pulled them to shore.

I was concerned about sharks and rough weather (I had no internet and my phone fried so I couldn't reply at the time. It's an honor to be quoted, thank you.

(BTW going 3-6 miles away from shore on an inflatable kayak on your own is a horrible idea, I won't be doing that again)

I'll see you all at the party.
1339  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Single 60GH > Solo Mining ??????? on: November 12, 2013, 12:23:30 PM
If I could distribute my hashpower to 50% solo mining and 50% pool mining it'd be perfect.

Now I stick to pool mining for the time being. Hitting a block would be insane at this BTC price.
1340  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: announcement: the international "when-bitcoin-reaches 1000,- $ party" on: November 08, 2013, 12:14:06 AM
This may be the event of our lives here! People may talk about it in boring history classes years later... We should plan big....

This may be a part of history... especially if we make it!
