1341  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: November 08, 2013, 12:03:52 AM
I already like calculating my every transaction in satoshis.

I did that since bitcoin hit $10

It makes me feel rich as hell!

When bitcoin hits $1000 we'll throw large bitcoin parties all over the world!
1342  Other / Off-topic / Re: Weird Simple Machines Forums Spamming... on: October 28, 2013, 04:36:35 AM
Use reCAPTCHA.

its a better idea using reCAPTCHA is good  Cheesy
This and don't allow members to post without a confirmed email. This should work for starters.

I added a verification question. It reads: "Password:". The password is many characters long and a jumble... I'll re-delete all the spammers and wait to see what happens.
I changed the captcha settings to "extreme" Still it is really easy to read and I'm sure it is a very old and compromised captcha system.
1343  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think BTC will hit $200? on: October 28, 2013, 04:23:11 AM
How many of you think bitcoin will see 100 before 1000?

What kind of question. It's time to close this thread.
Nah, just set a new target. Probably 300.

My target is 1000 USD, we'll throw a crazy party when that happens. It probably will in 3-5 years.
1344  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: announcement: the international "when-bitcoin-reaches 1000,- $ party" on: October 26, 2013, 12:32:51 PM
I'll be there, put my name on the list!

I'm guessing I'll see many of you within 5 years at the party!
1345  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: October 22, 2013, 02:02:45 PM
LabRatMining has now officially been frozen and the final asset list pulled.

More info to come.

I just followed the instructions, I changed my BTC address on Bitfunder for convenience but I am the owner of the previous address as well. I don't know which one it was but I can sign messages with it.

Can you confirm when bonds have been transferred by an e-mail?
I am a small player with 24 bonds but I don't want to lose them.
I sent the e-mail at 9:59 AM EST.
1346  Other / Off-topic / Re: Weird Simple Machines Forums Spamming... on: October 19, 2013, 09:30:44 PM
I deleted all the posts but now I'm stuck with around 300 spammer profiles... If you know how to bulk delete all the users except for admin give me a reply!

Edit: I deleted the bulk of the users (98%) By going through (Admin>Maintenance>Members) and deleting all accounts that were inactive for 1 Day or hadn't confirmed their e-mail address for 1 Day (I also tried 0.001 Days, but I'm not sure it worked)  The rest I'll manually delete in seconds.
1347  Other / Off-topic / Re: Weird Simple Machines Forums Spamming... on: October 19, 2013, 09:21:40 PM
Google ranking algorithm favours sites with many links pointig to them.
So the spammer is using your forum to make his site looking prettier to the eyes of Google.
Just delete posts and users and introduce some restrictions if forum is not moderated yed.

Thanks, I just hate having to ban so many users and delete so many posts. It'l take a while, I may even disable the forum till then...

I sincerely hope bitcoin puts a stop to this crazy google ad-money problem!
If content creators get paid in BTC donations I'm sure there will be less sites using ads.
1348  Other / Off-topic / Weird Simple Machines Forums Spamming... on: October 19, 2013, 04:57:17 PM
I was creating a forum for the Hellenic society of SPC, when I went to pass the motion someone amended it so the forum is not to be used, it hasn't been approved yet either. Still the forum (not ready) is up at http://www.hellenicsocietyofspc.org/index.php

There are 37 pages of spam by around 200 different usernames... Why did this happen? Should I do something before deleting all this spam or is anyone interested in 700 posts worth of spam?

Does anyone have experience with this kind of thing?
1349  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: October 19, 2013, 11:56:14 AM
$166.2 What the ...Huh

Why is the price going up?
1350  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: October 19, 2013, 01:18:58 AM
Well the bitcoin has reached more than 3.5M in Zimbambwean dollars.

I don't see why U.S. dollars will be much different in the long run. Bitcoin has some real buying power, people already count their moneys in the thousands of bitcoin mBTC and soon they will be in μBTC or millionths of it. One day, we may even be spending BTC in satoshis....

1 BTC = 100,000,000 Satoshis
1 hamburger is around $4
1 BTC = $153.3 (currently)
1 Burger = 0.02609 BTC or 2,609,000 Satoshis

Personally I like thinking in satoshis, It makes me feel rich as hell!

I didn't notice I was necroing an old thread, my bad!
1352  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 1 gram .999 fine silver "bitcoin" rounds *********type 2*********** on: October 17, 2013, 10:19:11 PM
I designed these but they where produced by Cmc mint, a couple of months ago I made contacted Cmc mint as a respected forum member wanted to take over the dyes and continue with production. It appears that they have changed owners since they were produced so I didn't get anywhere in talks with them regarding handing the dyes on and re-starting production so as I stands there's only going to be 2300 of both types in total. (I've got a couple but there not for sale I'm afraid  Grin

I'm mainly selling the real digital Bitcoins via BitconFridge.co.uk at the moment

There's a large 1oz copper bitcoin art round that I designed that I believe is still available from Aocs mint in the US

I see this coin over here: http://antanacoins.com/product/1oz-bitcoin-999-fine-copper-bullion-coin-aocs-2013-in-capsule/

Is it legitimate?
1353  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [NEW] ANTANA BITCOINS – First Physical Statistic Coin! [300coins/Batch] on: October 14, 2013, 02:21:35 PM
Mad Bitcoins summarizes a lot of news stories on bitcoin (really current stuff).

His channel is here: http://www.youtube.com/user/madbitcoins?feature=watch

A big thing that affects a lot of people on this forum is the bitfunder issue with U.S. customers.
I'd brainstorm a title but I gtg to college right now.
1354  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which operating system(s) do you use? on: October 14, 2013, 01:30:33 AM
I've used some linux (ubuntu) , Microsoft (XP, Vista, but mostly 7 pro), I want to learn how to use UNIX systems because they seem to be used a lot by gov. people. What is UNIX about UNIX (horrible pun, I'm aware)?
1355  Economy / Goods / Re: [238/1000 LEFT] 1g Silver Round "The Genesis Block" by BitcoinNerd on: October 12, 2013, 09:46:37 PM
I got 15... I'll keep a couple and gift the rest.

I can't wait to receive them!
1356  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [NEW] ANTANA BITCOINS – First Physical Statistic Coin! [300coins/Batch] on: October 12, 2013, 09:27:05 PM
Special offer! All 5 coins together for BTC0.4!

http://antanacoins.com/product/set-of-5-antana-bitcoin-statistic-coins/

Are those then taken out of the stock of 300 from each batch, or did you make 300 sets of 5 coins?

I now have all 5 current batches, two of each coin. One to play with and one to store!
1357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: -- [ANN] New Coin Pre-Launch - SHIT coin. -- on: October 08, 2013, 12:13:18 AM
I love throwing processing power down the drain. It would be the funniest thing on the planet if a serious mining farm was to get hacked and mine this for any period of time. Anyone who do this and proves it can expect 0.1 BTC from me (farm has to be at least 10 Terahashes in size and provably taken over. (offer expires first month of shitcoin release)
1358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If the American Economy Tanks... on: September 29, 2013, 07:53:57 PM
Answer to: "If the American Economy Tanks..." = Hope you're not in America!

If it is just the US, the Bitcoin price wouldn't be that much affected. Although I would expect it to rise.
It all depends to what degree the economy will fail too, if it failed to the level that Internet access was compromised BTC could be hurt.
1359  Other / Off-topic / Re: What video games do you play? on: September 29, 2013, 12:11:54 AM
Has anyone considered checking out firefall? It's not pay to win and it is absolutely free.

It's still in beta but it is very likely to be released in late 2014. Playing it you'll get a big edge on the competition. You may even get to name your own city when the game is released if you put enough effort into it!

I'm sure that the campaign of this game (taking back earth) will last many years and will be a whole lot of fun.
1360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Movie Made By Bitcoiners on: September 29, 2013, 12:08:15 AM
You have to improve your righting style. Have you ever considered taking a composition class in college/uni?

I won't fund this movie but maybe another one. There is a documentary on a man who did bank robberies in Florida that has covered most of this content. There are tons of movies about bank robberies. Tread carefully because you're offering a very hard sell, the community is highly unlikely to fund this movie, as is.
