Do you invest in Presales? I depend if the project is good and they offer a bonus for early birds

What do you research first in order to invest? Is the concept original

What makes the project interesting and worth investing?[/b] Concept, people behind the team and hype

I ask all the investors, what makes a coin Perfect!?! There's no such thing as perfect coin only profitable

A working platform? It's a must for a project to have a working platform, this is what defines them[/b]

Active devs? Of course to keep the project going

That was such a huge amount, you can live comfortably for the rest of your life here in our country, you could have extended your waiting for the price to get better, but you opted to turn to gamble, but there's really not much hope in gambling, it's for entertainment only, not something you will pour your life savings.
2463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: August 08, 2019, 11:12:46 AM
Those that have been gambling for a long time will agree with some of these bad habits (if I may call them this) which I have found to have a negative effect on our gambling experience.

Any comments or additions, drop them in the thread Smiley

1. Cancelling a withdraw because the sportsbook takes long to process it or because you saw a game you think will bring easy profit, stop right here.. my advice don't even think about cancelling this it's a trap that will leave you with no money to withdraw.

2. Don't gamble while you are intoxicated, for obvious reasons judgement is impaired and you will be reckless with how you play.

3. Never gamble with money that isn't yours, this includes taking out loans for the purpose of gambling  because this always ends in you losing all the sourced funds and will result in putting yourself in bad books with friends and family.

4. Avoid accumulators, sometimes these are good but if you in it for the money avoid them! I know many will say if you don't risk it you won't win or say something like "go big or go home" but honestly think about it , you place an accumulator with 3 games and 2 games with big odds of 5 and 7 odds go through and you are left with the multiplier of 1.2 odds which goes on to lose Huh I guess you get my logic

5. Avoid gambling when you are angry or feeling emotional about something or someone, this too affects your game. If it helps talk or see someone before you do something you will regret.

Feel free to add more to the list

On point one, I didn't know that I never cancel a withdrawal, I will remember this one, lest I got myself in this kind of situation,
All the others tell us that we should not lose our control when we are gambling, it's risky and dangerous, only play to have fun, all other reason will put you at risk.
2464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coins Delisting on: August 08, 2019, 02:49:18 AM
I don't think it's the coin, it's the exchange, it failed to encourage traders of those coins to trade in their platform, I have seen top coins having thousands or even millions of dollars of trade on one exchange, but only hundreds in a lower exchange.
2465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you check crypto prices? on: August 08, 2019, 02:27:32 AM
It's very tempting to always check the prices of the coins you are holding in the market, you cannot blame yourself, the market is moving to fast, just when the market is doing great it will dip, without any hint why it goes down, if you have a blood pressure problem you should monitor it often especially when the market is in confusing state.
2466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on a dog fight? on: August 08, 2019, 12:40:22 AM
No, I will not I am a dog lover and we have three dogs in our house and I can see my dogs in that scenario if I'll watch a dog fight I'm ok with boxing because it has a referee, but never on a dog fight because they will kill each other and that's how that dog fight is, it's not over until they kill each other.
2467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: August 06, 2019, 01:58:21 AM
I would like to add not knowing how and when to quit, you are winning and you want to extend your winning because you think it's your lucky day until bad luck caught you, you are losing and you still have funds available and you want to gain what you've lost because you think you can until you run out of money.
2468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Winning Streak in a Dice Game on: August 05, 2019, 03:28:04 PM
My record has finally been broken today!

I have made 9 consecutive wins in my rolls today! I am already amazed even though I have very low bets.

But I am curious about your records. How many consecutive wins have you made in a dice game?

By the way, more often than not I bet on a 50% winning chance.

My longest winning streak was ten I feel too bad I did not add more funds to my bets but I am doing martingale and I just double the amount after I lost the roll, I just wonder is ten the longest winning roll that we have here I just experienced it only once.
2469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about Gambling and e-sports? on: August 05, 2019, 01:20:36 PM
With e-sports growing each day, like old ones Dota, Lol, CS and the new ones like Fortnite, PUBG etc, and competitions become more professional and more money are into, do you think soon we will be gambling with e-sports together with traditional ones?

I think it's only a matter of time, soon we will be betting on e-sports

It's possible I'm not into e-sports but here in our place some computer shops are closing their shops to accommodate these gamers, to fight each other, and they are betting a huge amount of money against each other, I'm not surprised that there's really money to be made in e-sports, that is the reason they spent countless hours to level up and hone their skills.
2470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do i realize my dream on: August 05, 2019, 03:51:18 AM
So far we already have 233 exchanges in the market and still counting, many more are coming https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/3

Cryptocurrency Exchange is such a huge business, some of these exchanges have prior experiences from setting or running an exchange from other industry like Forex, I don't discourage you but unless you can assemble a great team and you have huge funds to spend, don't set up yet.
2471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: August 04, 2019, 04:31:26 PM
So I've been wondering a lot time now why some people choose to play lottery which is made in such a way that it's statistically impossible to win and not any other game that gives about 49% chance to win? In online crypto-gambling there are a lot of such services.

I think the prize is a big motivation, imagine you only need one ticket to win millions, you can never get that on any betting sites, it's the poor and average man's only way to become instantly rich, so they are putting their hopes here.
2472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Fortune Jack a Scam or are they Legit? on: August 04, 2019, 01:45:20 PM
Anyone get paid by them?

They've been in this gambling industry for quite some time and I don't remember someone having complaints about this site. So I guess they too have their reputation as one of the top gambling sites.
There are some scam accusations, in the scam sections but some of them are not proven or cannot sustain the allegations, I still believe that they are a paying gambling site because there are still a lot of good reviews from https://www.askgamblers.com/online-casinos/fortunejack-casino-review/

They resolved some of the complaints there.

2473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long does Ico last? on: August 04, 2019, 05:13:07 AM
How long does Ico last?

So, my friend is participating in the subscription campaign in the OUTOFTHLOUD project. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4814891.0
then something has changed and now https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5085373
The rewards program began on August 1 and continues to this day. It has been 8 long months. Posts in social networks stopped at the end of 2018. For all Telegram questions, when the program ends for a fee, my friend gets one answer - after Ico. When asked when Ico will end - silence.
It’s a pity to throw a signature, it turns out 8 months of work wasted ...

Tell me, is there a limit on the duration of Ico? It can not last forever?

It should not even last for two months, if the project is good it will only take a month to get a project funded, one-month bounty campaign will create awareness of any project, for investors to get it noticed, if a bad project is bad even if they have a high rating in ICO or good reviews coming from these so-called experts, they will just ignore it.
2474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is better Government run Lottery or private run Lottery on: August 04, 2019, 12:58:45 AM
Is this really a government-run lottery in Indonesia?
No no, it's a private-run lottery since gambling is illegal in Indonesia, but only if the tickets were bought. In this case, the lottery tickets were more like a giveaway.
Almost all lottery draw is like this AFAIK.

Anyway, whether it's private or public (government), we cannot tell if the party is honest or not; hence, the on-chain lottery could be the solution to this problem.

I believe in the chain lottery, like the provably fair in an online casino, but the draw is held in national television, all balls are weigh-in to make sure no balls with a number on it will have an advantage over the others, and the air that circulates to get the winning ball, are also monitored, so far that's the fairest we can get.
2475  Economy / Economics / Re: Advice on how best to protect your capital on: August 04, 2019, 12:31:58 AM

- Never fully rely on recommendations; always to your own diligent research on any prospect. Do not simply follow the ideas of "experts" or "influencers".
- There is no guarantee;  no investment is a hundred percent fool proof. Even Bitcoin which I would say is the safest cryptocurrency investment does not guarantee profits.
Always keep tabs on your portfolio.

I do not trust these so-called experts anymore, some of them are running ICO rating sites, and we all know they get a quick buck from giving a false rating and they don't care about their reputation, it's their cash cow.

There's no guarantee that Bitcoin will always bring you profit but it's the safest investment and profitable compare to the altcoins in the market, they all follow Bitcoin's performance in the market and that's a fact.
2476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Operating Online Casino -- Need License? on: August 04, 2019, 12:12:42 AM
Hi, quick question I came up with today, I was curious about... Do you (the owner, whomever) need any license(s) to "legally" operate an Online Crypto Casino (Slots, BlackJack, etc...)? Are you in risk if you don't have them (if you need them)? Like if I made a website tomorrow, could I legally run/operate it and accept deposits?

You need a license, of course, to avoid getting taken down, once your site becomes popular attract high rollers and you are making a good income, the country you are in might require those who operate an online casino for a license or else they will request your host to take it down or even prosecute you, to avoid those hustles check the guidelines where you are located.
2477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Career on: August 03, 2019, 04:57:59 PM
Hey guys I'm not so much of a poster but a lurker on this forum I recently took 30 dollars and took it to 500 on pokerstars and then my cpu suddenly breaks and I had to withdraw all my funds to buy a new one. I have major anxiety problems and a job atm isn't really doable since I have super bad social anxiety and have only worked in warehouses but right now I am injured and I'm unable to lift boxes. I am really dedicated to a poker career my goal is to save up to 1000USD then start with the concept of 1/200 tournament buy ins or 5.50 or below tournies. Currently I am killing a boss called vorkath in osrs which gives 3m an hour or 1.50USD an hour so I can save up for the 1000 usd but I feel like there must be a faster way to pursue my dream of becoming a pro poker player in my current situation any advice or help would be great thanks.

The fastest will be to get a loan, from your relatives and friends who believe in your skills do not go for a loan shark, or if you have some jewelry or a real estate or something that you can pawn will be ok, but only do this if you really think that you can make a career in poker, think ten times and if you are so sure then go for it.
2478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man won 12 times in lottery on: August 03, 2019, 12:04:05 PM
~

That's exactly what happened. Thanks for posting your reply! I tried to explain it earlier, but maybe people need two different explanations, or maybe even more than that, because they keep posting that "mathematical genius" bs.

Also I want to add that the luck factor was involved there as well. His associates couldn't buy all the tickets, so they were lucky that most of the prizes didn't went to "wrong" people.
Buying all the tickets is a good way to maximize the odds of winning at lottery. This is great trick but for such an execution, you of course need some good amount of dollars which normally not everyone around have. In a given scenario like mentioned in your post, it is not very difficult to be the winner provided you have the investor by your side. IN many cases, investors however do not fund people due to the low odds of success.

Convincing the investors was an easy part in those cases, because those were not regular lotteries, as you can find them today. What the guy was doing, he was looking for +EV lotteries, where all the previously unclaimed jackpots combined were to be split among the next round participants.

The most important part of the story is that the US authorities have changed the lottery rules since then, so the Mandel's trick can never be performed again.

Mandel's trick is now a thing of the past, but because of this, lottery around the world make their bettors on equal chances, sometimes an anomaly can make something to correct a system for the betterment of everybody, maybe someone out there will try to exploit something in the new system.
2479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale revisited on: August 03, 2019, 11:10:03 AM
To make things clear right at the start, I know that martingale is a losing strategy in the long term as there is no way to beat the house and its edge if only by chance alone (or by exploiting a bug in the system). And since martingale effectively removes the chance part from the equation, it is set to fail in the end

With that said, though, it is an "old-school" martingale which is a sure way to lose all but what about using martingale when you constantly lower your chances to lose at each red streak by extending the number of losing rolls till you go bust? I don't know if it can actually help but it is certainly worth discussing here

Obviously, it can be done by "reinvesting" everything we earned at previous rolls without changing any other setting (like odds, initial bet amount, increase, etc) but we are not necessarily limited to only that. For example, we could continually add to our balance at each roll, thereby postponing our final moment until it gets lost in the vague future

Does it change anything even if it doesn't make a lot of sense as a strategy on its own?

I have tried that before, sometimes you win sometimes you lose and so much is depends on the funds you have allocated to your betting, of course, there will always long run of winning and long run of losing, if you are going to chase your losses be sure you have enough funds to cover the strategy.
2480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson vs Fury 2: The Rematch on: August 03, 2019, 01:51:03 AM
Well it doesnt look like Tyson will be fighting himself any time soon

Tyson Fury To Fight Otto Wallin On September 14 In Las Vegas

https://www.boxingscene.com/tyson-fury-fight-otto-wallin-on-september-14-las-vegas--141396?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

BoxingScene.com also has learned that the Fury-Wallin fight will headline a card September 14 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Top Rank had considered taking Fury’s next fight to TD Garden in Boston, but he’ll fight a second straight bout in Las Vegas.

It's unfortunate, but they should do a rematch, people love to see them go for it again, there's uncertainty, and debate if who really wins and a match that has no sure winner should be resolved, I expect them to go against each other again in the future.
