1841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO legalities in 2020? on: January 25, 2020, 01:06:06 PM
Even though ICO's have lost the appeal lately.

I was just wandering about the legalities. The SEC website confuses me. In the eyes of the SEC are true utility tokens still classed as securities in the USA? Is this why many companies avoid the USA when it comes to ICO's?

If a company from outside the USA releases a token, do they have to comply with SEC regulations to enable usa investors?

I am not from the usa but live here now. Is it a resident or a citizen issue?

The US SEC has a long arm to prosecute, expose and jail any violators so the ICO developers did not include US citizens they do not want the SEC to come after them because it's citizens loses money on their project, so it's better that they play it safe by not including US citizens to their potential investors.
1842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can the price of Altcoin be good by the end of 2020? on: January 25, 2020, 04:41:24 AM
Now the price of Altcoin is medium. If you look at it now, many people are involved with cryptocurrency. Altcoin prices may also be good in 2020 as cryptocurrency is allowed in many countries. If cryptocurrency goes legal around the world, the price of Altcoin may go up. Is it true?

Some altcoins but not the majority of these altcoins, these altcoins are those who have proven themselves over the course of time, and it's likely that these coins are on the top 10 of the market, some coins will be adopted and some coins will just die, because the developers are leaving or the community stop supporting them.
1843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it still possible to invent certain Altcoin that can be better than Bitcoin? on: January 25, 2020, 04:04:29 AM

As the subject goes, can we expect the newly developed Altcoin that can go beyond Bitcoin?

I don't think there will be one, some of the altcoins that are ranking now is a clone of Bitcoin, the closest that a coin can get is Ethereum but the gap is too wide they are not even a threat to Bitcoin, all we have to do now is support Bitcoin and forget about new coins that shills are calling the next Bitcoin when it's really not.
1844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Read whitepaper, could you write a whitepaper in the future? on: January 25, 2020, 12:26:15 AM
I have a theory, if I can read cryptocurrency white papers, maybe in the long run I will be able to write a white paper, because by reading how they are initially written, their structure, technical explanations up to a point of view, and all the elements that a white paper has, I should be able to have notions to write one, what do you think?

Of course, you can as long as you know how to compose one and you are good in English, its a professional job and command a good price in the market, if you can develop your skill it will be a good source of income of for you, to build your resume, it's better that you offer the first 5 of your job free.
1845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 24, 2020, 11:47:01 PM
This thread should be close although it generates a lot of interest it's unlikely that it's going to happen, already Dana White talks of preferring a rematch with Khabib or any other top MMA fighters which he has a chance to win than a fight with Manny Pacquiao, I myself prefer Connor to face Khabib in his next fight.
1846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: January 24, 2020, 05:31:08 PM
They should come out with a date now because if there is no date it's just a possibility this fight should materialize so both fighters can really test their toughness, we all know that both fighters are tough, but you can only be tough when you are facing a fighter that is as tough as you, this is going to be a must-watch, and boxing fans will definitely talk this match.
1847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Running an online Bitcoin gambling website on: January 24, 2020, 04:47:51 PM
I have a few questions regarding running a Bitcoin gambling website online.

I am located in Canada. So I'm not sure if it's legal for me run a site like this online from within Canada.

If it is legal for me to host the site else where, where is it possible for me to host it and do I need to get it licensed or it's okay to operate without a license since it's crypto.

You should your local authorities if it is legal since it is based here in Canada it's important that you address this first and also ask if a license is also needed the most important thing here is, compliancy, so you will not run a problem, running your online casinos, it's better for a casinos to have a license since you are dealing with funds here.
1848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum set new High in this Year on: January 24, 2020, 04:31:32 PM
Ethereum is About to set new high in this year . Most of the new and previos Projects are on the ETH platform.

All the coins are set for a new high this year they can possibly eclipse the previous ones they have in 2017, this is what the past historical charts told us in the past halving, and Ethereum holders  are also expected to enjoy profit this year they just need to be patient, ad hold on to their coins.
1849  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Alert: Stay away from this! on: January 24, 2020, 10:59:12 AM
Here is a fake offer: Elon Musk — Official ETH and BTC Giveaway

This is the fake site: http://muskgift.com/

This will show you a UI similar to Medium platform but, please note that medium platform URL has medium.com. This is fake.

Do not send funds to this offer. I would say do not send funds such stupid things.

The comments shown on the site are fake as the UI itself is faking medium.

if people will only have common sense and just do a research and ask the forum first, no one would be scammed, but people want to be the first one to receive a giveaway and get the biggest slice, this is what happens to one guy and he is not even a newbie in thi skind of stuff, he is just not fully aware of this trick.
1850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: January 24, 2020, 04:34:39 AM

I don't think these kinds of match would be fixed. Even if there is a chance they had private convo on who would win, a fighters pride would be put on the line. A loss is a loss no matter the circumstances are. Mcgregor just overpowered his opponent at that fight.

I don't think it is fixed we clearly show the aggressiveness and Cerrone was just caught by surprise, it's a very fast and calculated offense, there is a saying you have a plan until you get punched, I think he lost any of his plans when Connor hit him and Cerrone is not the kind to throw away fights, we have seen him in his past fights.
1851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: They announced 1000000 Tokens Giveaway. Should I follow this? on: January 23, 2020, 04:42:29 PM

Should I follow this?

There are so many of these things in the past and they are still on it, this kind of offer is how shitcoins distribute their coins, I don't see anything good on their projects their website is like the creation of a newbie, they cannot even hire a good website designer.
1852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me? on: January 23, 2020, 02:57:41 PM
January 2019 we have more bounties at that time but this year January seem to be different, very few bounty projects shows up, I'm not saying scam projects aren't around but this forum seem relieved from many junky projects like that of 2019, maybe scammers are tired of not getting answers in return? Maybe people are now smarter and scammers are starving? I so wish so 🙏 lol what about you?

I'm not looking at bounty hunting on ICO anymore, because there's nothing interesting in there anymore, projects are not interested anymore you can easily tell it's a pump and dump coins, some projects are just copy of projects that long been gone, many feel that it's game over for bounty campaign now.
1853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin provides more long-term profits on: January 23, 2020, 10:43:37 AM
many choices, the price is relatively cheaper than bitcoin and the opportunity to make more profit. Maybe there are some benefits if I spend more of my money investing in altcoin and holding it for the long term. But the negative value that I found is that the influence of bitcoin is too big on altcoin until now.
I don't think so, but there are exceptions to the rules but that is not the general argument, altcoins are not good for long term profit, but there are few altcoins that have proven their worth overtime, and we can easily tell that coin by looking on the market, their daily volume, and thei official announcement, if there are new updates.
1854  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Poll - How did you find out about Bitcointalk? on: January 23, 2020, 05:34:06 AM
Without going into the motives behind joining Bitcointalk, I was wondering how people’s first point of contact with the forum was made. Now we may need to jog the memory here a bit, although Beginners & Help tends to have newer profiles around, making the memory lane easier to walk.

If I recall correctly, I reached the forum at the time when searching for information on Bitcoin. I probably performed a Google search for "Bitcoin forum" and made it here through one of the results that popped-up.

What was the reference driver (source, not motive) that drove you to Bitcointalk?

I also landed here the first time through the search engine, that time all the best information are on this forum because there were few media articles that support Bitcoin and Bitcointalk is ranking in the search engine for information about Bitcoin, I guess many of us old members landed here through Google.
1855  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who bought Bitcoin in late 2017? Still recovering or fully recovered? on: January 22, 2020, 10:49:40 PM

Well i am in the same boat.

Just out of curiosity, is there any still recovering from the deadly bitcoin price in late 2017?

or fully recovered and seeing profit? or Sold away at that moment or later?

I read one post almost a month ago that one guy still holds Bitcoin that he bought at its old-time high, they do deserve an award for being that patient he really believes that Bitcoin can recover, and it will really recover, there's no doubt about that and it's going to happen this year, I hope he still holds those Bitcoin.
1856  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why its easy for a new comer to get scam on: January 22, 2020, 01:05:28 PM

1859  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ 777Coin Signature Campaign ★☆★ (Member-Hero Accepted) (New) on: January 20, 2020, 10:34:36 PM
I may have spoken a bit too soon. While lightlord gets the new manager to take this over you guys will be stuck with me for the remainder of this week too! So one more payout coming from me, hah. Hopefully not too much of an issue Smiley.

1860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: January 19, 2020, 10:26:22 AM
This is the old Conor McGregor I always admire a man of focus with humble attitude. Hell yeah! The king is back! Also Manny Pacquiao just gave credit to  THE NOTORIOUS!!! on his facebook account.

https://www.facebook.com/MannyPacquiao/posts/2282567652047248

Something is cooking  Roll Eyes

He is back with a vengeance, but people would love to see the Khabib fight more than the Pacquiao because it's unfinished business for Mcgregor, Id like to know what Khabib think of this fight, Connor is much better in this fight, there will be a lot of lines up for Mcgregor now, Masvidal, Khabib or even Pacquiao but I want another cage fight again for Connor.

How come it's unfinished business, maybe the post fight was an unfinished business but in the fight, we clearly saw who wins and it was Khabib who dominated Conor in every round. anyway, congratulations to him

Everybody deserves a second chance and if you are beaten on the second time it just verified that you really lost to a guy, so many case are like that the recent one was the Joshua - Ruiz and we have that in the past one example was the many losses of Lewis who always got beat those who beat him in a dramatic fashion, so let's give it to Connor to finish this business with Khabib
