1561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum be taking 1st place in 2020? on: March 09, 2020, 12:10:56 AM
Even though there is a huge drop in the market today when we are two months to go before the halving, I still think Bitcoin is irreplaceable in the first position, Ethereum has a great technology behind it but people coming wants to experienced using Bitcoin and Bitcoin is the frontliner of Cryptocurrency, being the first decentralized coin in the market.
1562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19 and its effect in Gambling World on: March 08, 2020, 11:16:59 PM
This is the kind of scenario that online gambling will benefit, the authorities advised people to lessen their contacts with people and just stay at home, so if a gambler wants to play and he is itching to gamble, his only option is to play online and this will help online gambling to make more profit and new gambling site to get more gambler to play in their platform.
1563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin declined 3% as the coronavirus spread in italy on: March 08, 2020, 10:20:06 PM
The Coronavirus disease has affected a lot of economic activities across the globe but I don't think it is the cause of the recent decline in the price of bitcoin. Obviously for most people or traders who deal in bitcoin, it is largely online basis so I don't see how Coronavirus comes into the picture here.
And some people thought that Corona can push the price higher because it can be adopted for cashless transaction right now Bitcoin has a huge drop and can even go in the $7900 level and surprisingly we are only two months away from the halving.
1564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of good marketing on: March 08, 2020, 10:06:12 PM
Alot of projects in this crypto space lacks good marketing. Gone are the days where people use top personality to market their project for people to invest.
Some project have product but zero marketing. This makes them still undervalued and unnoticed.
Good marketing and a good community will bring a great progressive result for a project.
The crypto space values the community so much because they play a great role. Having a good community is Paramount and part of good marketing . Also listing on a good , popular, relaible exchanges is a form of marketing that will Introduce a project and it's product to a wide range of people.

Marketing do help, but the best marketing still is the product itself, yes they can hype the project but in the long run it will be exposed as having a weak product or platform, investors are looking on the platform right now, not on personalities that are promoting the product this is very much different from traditional advertising.
1565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't hate long term promotions on: March 08, 2020, 09:42:51 PM
I'm here to talk about bounties with long duration, I know we all have our experience with short term bounties and long term bounties but I have come to understand that it doesn't matter, here is my own experience
Last year I promoted E3T bounty project for 4weeks duration and I earned 30$
In 2018 I promoted Airwallet for more than 14 weeks and I earned over a thousand dollar

Durations doesn't matter, small duration bounties can pay high rewards and long duration bounties can pay worse rewards, it's all vice versa, what matters is the quality of the project you promote

You really never know the potential of the coin until it hit the market, whether you promote it short or long period of time, it's the project and the trust of the investors that will make an impact on the price, but right now so many projects are useless so it's more preferable to do short term so you can hop in the next one.
1566  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk Future on: March 08, 2020, 05:41:11 PM
I do not know any place in world where anyone can live for as low as 70$ per month ?

Minimum wage in Nigeria is somewhere around that level.

And as you say there would've been people hammering multiple accounts. I can imagine whole rooms full of them. Text spinning is a wonderful way for the family to bond together.

I have seen a lot of text spinning, because of the absence of local boards they will have to deal with spinning or using a translator to participate in the discussion but really surprised that the Philippines is included, these posters are good in English and they are doing great here and that it includes me  Grin.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction threads on: March 08, 2020, 04:49:45 PM
I have seen countless threads about gambling addiction and I've been sharing my experiences on those threads, To be honest those threads helped me realized the failures I got from being a gambling addict. I'm just curious if those threads helped other gambling addicts here and do the threads helped them on changing.

Does the gambling discussion here about gambling addiction help you reducing your gambling activities or helps you to think that you need to change?

It's still a case to case basis, some people will accept and learned from they are reading while some will not, when we are gambling for so long we tend to become immune to what other people are saying and what we are reading, maybe it applies to new gamblers and not to old timers who just ignore what people are saying.
1568  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: negative trust on: March 08, 2020, 01:23:37 PM
If who is giving you the negative  feedback and if the reason is enough to get you one, if it is not a DT members then you have no reason to worry, you will not even know that you have one, because only DT member's feedback will reflect on your forum profile,  you can retaliate back but like what I said if it is not no need to worry, and if the reason is not valid.

1570  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you know when to sell on: March 08, 2020, 03:32:49 AM
I am a college student looking to make a buck every once in a while trading crypto (mainly BTC). My portfolio is $500 of my savings so nothing big really. This is like a pilot project where I get to learn what is what and see if I can trade. I am considering going full time during summers and hopefully after finishing college if summers will have spared me. The question I am constantly facing is, how do you know when you should (or have to) sell? When the price is rising, I don't want to sell because... greed ––tbh. But again when the price is dropping, I don't wanna sell either... sometimes the price might be lower than when I bought. In general, I am bullish that the price will eventually rise and I will make a killing, so no need to hurry. But again, I don't want to be a hodler; I want to be a trader. How do you guys know when to sell?

This is the decision that you have to take alone, it's all goes down on how much risk and how much profit that you have to take some traders are willing to take 5 to 10% profit, some traders wants more when they see the market is going better, you have to decide your level of profit and loss that you can accept.
1571  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are there Crypto projects Not on Bitcointalk forum on: March 08, 2020, 02:35:25 AM
There are over 7000 cryptocurrencies currently trading on different exchanges. most of these cryptos have public members that are known to many while some have hidden members behind the project which are red alert for investors.
Could there be any cryptocurrency currently exiting without having a post here on Bitcointalk. I know there are many that have not updated their thread due to scam.

Only those potential scam project will not post their project or create an announcement thread here, why would they when they are going to be investigated, but if the project is really that good, he will create an announcement here and will even launch a bounty campaign because a legit is open for questioning and investigation, because they are legit.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play dice: Strategy with BTC on: March 08, 2020, 02:05:30 AM
P.s. please do let me know what strategy do you use to play bitcoin dice games? I don't believe to luck in gambling games, but I do in strategy, it can make you earn.

I believe in strategy but not when it is applied to a dice game where the edge of the house remains constant regardless of your chosen winning chance. Sooner or later, you will always end up on the losing side. You may earn from it, but only if you are playing one or two or three times. You linger several more minutes and you will start going down.

The last time I played dice, I set it in auto, set the winning chance at 50%, shift over/under and increase bet 100% in every loss. And I lost after a few hundred rolls.

This is true, you're on a winning roll on the first few roll maybe 6 or 8 then when you are very excite on your win you're going to get bad rolls until the bad rolls keeps coming up, it's very tempting to use martingale here and I'm sure most of us do, because reasoning tells us we only need one roll to bring back all of our losses, unfortunately you need a lot of funds to play and beat the house edge.
1573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brave Browser: Now users can earn Basic Attention Token (BAT) for viewing ads on: March 07, 2020, 05:52:12 PM
The biggest disadvantage of Brave browser is it requires users to fully complete KYCs in order to be legit and receive BATs. I am not going through their KYC requirement just because I want to receive some BAT from their advertisement views.

Don't be too greedy and self-disclose your identities, then self-destroy your privacy and your money in the long aspect.

I hardly get 3 ads daily and I don't want to go to KYC so I guess I will not make BAT out of viewing their ads or any other program that will reward members with their shit coin, but I do love their browser, a good alternative for the browsers I'm using for the last ten years but they will never beat Chrome.
1574  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful of shitcoins on trading platforms. on: March 07, 2020, 04:40:49 PM
I have similar experienced back five years ago when I was so active accumulating coins that others turn out to be shitcoins, after I learned that you should not hodl shitcoins I learned to dump the coin that I think is just a pump and dump coin and without purpose in the industry.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not Just for Online but also IRL Gambling on: March 07, 2020, 02:39:59 PM
Have you ever played on a game were it is totally a scam without realizing it? I just seen a facebook post in which there are several games that doesn't let you win even though how many times you try and you'll just feel like giving up then they will tell you that you won or let you win ... but without realizing, it was just a tactic/s to have you play until you burn your eyelids and money to that game.

This applies on both Gambling Online/IRL, So tell me have you ever seen one of these games and you'll just realize it after the game or watching other people play that certain game?

I only play a game if there are reviews of fair play, if you are victim of that kind of game then you have been scammed and you can report it, but you must show proof that it is indeed scam and not just a perceptions, because there are a lot of instances where gamblers call a site a scam after he lose a lot with out showing any proof that it is a scam.
1576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Bad Exchanges on: March 07, 2020, 01:47:27 PM
I'm just trying to do my part, I know many won't care and some don't even bother to read anymore, they are just here for bounties, here is for those who cares about reading and learning.

Stay away from the following exchanges, I have bad experience with them already and I can still see few people getting caught in same trap

1. Vindax
2. Systemkoin
3. P2PB2B
4. Latoken

Not just for fake volumes and watched trade but scams, lose of funds, swapping of withdrawal addresses, you name it, have a great day

I agree with you, these exchanges has 2 to 5 reports in the scam section and these exchanges representative here cannot defend their position, because the proof are clear and the allegations are all true, so trade at your own risk and be aware of the complaint or they will become your own complaints too.
1577  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk is racist on: March 07, 2020, 09:18:53 AM
That's what happen when the main focus of your forum/website is lure spammers to make as much money as possible. It's a cat and mouse game.

I wonder how long they'll last. Next thing is that it takes a minimum of 200 posts to be eligible for payment.
If they are going to make this 200 posts nobody will create an account here anymore, in fact there are request to make it 50 and check every posts if the posters deserves to be part of the forum, they will know right away on the first ten posts if the posters is a potential spammer or will continue to the growth of the forum.
1578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tim Draper will give you money to learn about Bitcoin on: March 07, 2020, 08:24:44 AM
100 dollars is actually nothing. Especially if they are not guaranteed

If this is not guaranteed then Tim will lose his reputation, the guy is a billionaire so he can afford that, it will be different if a random guy just come out and offer $100 to attendees, it's a good gesture and whales should also follow this lead if we have 50 whales doing this to people who do not know anything about Bitcoin, we will have more people believing in the power of Bitcoin.
1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling or Casino gambling? on: March 07, 2020, 08:00:27 AM
Although when I feel bore, I go to the casino but I prefer online gambling. The most prominent reason would be, Casino gambling takes a lot of time and the traffic is a headache. So, I prefer online gambling which is less time consuming and efficient as well.

This is why some casinos are located near the hotels and motels, so gambler can stay on this hotel without going through the traffic, hotels and gambling casinos complimented each other, some hotels are promoting casinos to their guests and casinos are promoting these hotels to their clients and some casinos are located in hotels.
1580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RNG] Ring: Widest ever initial distro | Proof of Play | CPU Mining | Hive on: March 07, 2020, 06:26:17 AM
New Coin from good Community Will keep my eyes on it;D

I'm not into mining but reading all it's features will make a non miner to mine this coin, it's a CPU mineable coin and asic resistance so it is very attractive to both full time miners and non miners, I'm on both their channels on Discord and Telegram and they are now in a testnet and making sure no bug when they release it, I think it's going to worth the wait.

i joined both telegram and the discord Cheesy

Asis Resistance coin is always on my watchlist

Being an Asic resistance coin makes it a very attractive coin to mine I'm pretty sure an avalance of miners will go here to mine this coin I hope the difficulty will not get that high and they can get to big exchange as early as possible so those who can't mine can just buy this coin, the timing is right for the launching of this coin.
