322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think this is gambling? [Collectibles & Gambling] on: October 03, 2022, 09:30:41 PM
Good afternoon.
I would like to know your opinion about this: the other night I found a YT channel where a guy bought a box of Yu-Gi-Oh cards, this box was of the first set released back in early 2000's called "Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon".

The exotic part of this video is the fact these boxes are sold for over 25,000$ and only one pack of the box can be worth about 1000$.

This guy bought and proceed to (painfully) open each of the packs inside the box, because there are chances to find cards worth thousands of dollars themselves:

Do you consider doing this a form of gambling?
Would you dare to do the same thing for the sake of earning money or do you think it would be a bad idea?

I personally think it would be a bad idea since the chances of pulling out a good card is fairly small, one needs to really like the game/cards in order to open an unsealed box of such value.

When you're buying/investing/betting something in the hope of gaining profit then you are gambling, gaming and gambling are very similar in so many ways both are a form of entertainment and you have to invest in both and your investment should be money that you can afford to lose, people who started as a gamer most of the times ended up as gambler, and if you've started as a player you'll have basic knowledge on how to play in a gambling site, so there's hardly any difference between the two.
323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this statiscally possible in a lottery? on: October 03, 2022, 01:34:08 PM
It’s impressive that it has become a pattern with results that are divisible by nine. a pattern with results that are divisible by nine. It’s probably really rare, but maybe it’s just really what shows in the results. If they were to rig it or something, that would’ve been a scam by a group of people, making them a lot of money out of nowhere.

if it even was rigged, they should be punished.

This was already explained on the news recently by the PCSO gen manager. The winning number combination is only appear once and most of the winners that being interviewed was betting this combination for a long time and the winning bets has pattern so it’s really possible that many players will if they are thinking on same logic.

The draw is being done televised, there’s no way it will be rigged since all balls is being weigh before it place on the cage.

It's not really the probability of the number that should be tackled here this is a lottery and anything is possible in a lottery, it should be on transparency and correctness on how they held the drawing if it was done like all the past drawings and there is nothing wrong and there's no manipulation then people should accept the results as it is, and besides the experts have explained that it's possible to have this numbers of winners.

325  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitstarz is bad casino (ask complicated kyc to avoid payment) on: October 02, 2022, 09:09:50 AM
Your chances to get all your money are slim, they have a lot of complaints here and your story is going to be part of this set of accusations, the least that you can do now is to create the right format for your complaint, complete the full detail with all your evidence, this will become one of the references if ever there are people who are going to research information about Bitstarz, at least you can help people to stop playing here and they will thank you for sharing your story.

327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Terra still pumping !?! on: October 01, 2022, 10:58:46 AM
IMO, Do Kwon has not been involved in this since his arrest. Moreover, the perception of "Pumping" only occurs for people who invest in this coin when the price has fallen. If we look at the entire project, it is very clear that this project is no longer viable, and is far from being called a pump.
I also feel that this is just a dying coin, where people just take advantage of rapid price changes to make a profit. Meanwhile, no one else will hold this coin in the long term, or maybe very few people will.

2.4% increased today is this what you call pump, and even if there are pump it's not going to last and this coin will eventually die, it's the whales that do this not because there is a new interest on Luna project backed by Do kwon we should totally ignore this coin, we should not support projects that will only remind us of the mismanagement of their developers, it's only a matter of time before Do Kwon goes to jail and all projects associated to him will banish, the volume is still huge but it will eventually diminish over the course of time.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman Abandons 4-year-old Child In Gambling Shop As Collateral After Huge Losses on: October 01, 2022, 05:02:24 AM
People who are addicted to gambling have done crazy things as a result of their addiction. Nonetheless, I never imagined reading a story as unbelievable as this. It is the story of a woman who abandons her 4-year-old child after using him as collateral and sustaining huge losses. Firstly, I am shocked because it is the male gender who have been known to go to any lengths to satisfy their gambling addiction.  In addition, I wonder what would have moved the woman in this case to do this kind of thing. My assessment is that this is simply a case of irresponsible parenting and problem gambling. How do you think about this?

When you read something like this, it will trigger a big alarm on the kind of addiction some people have developed because of gambling addiction, some people will do everything and sacrifice even their loves, I've read about abandonment because of hunger but not addiction to gambling, she is not in the right and there should be government intervention, gambling addiction can get you out of your mind and the government should address this issue, it may not be an isolated issue and there will be more if they cannot address people from getting addicted to gambling.
329  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Ethereum smart contract scam bot.... on: September 30, 2022, 09:23:32 PM
The video should be reported, the video looks legit they even had ads on it, and people commenting but its actual bots or part o the scammer's team, if you are not good at codes you will likely end up as one of the victims, never play on codes coming from Youtube, telegram, or just any sites where you are not 100% of the reputation, this report is a big help.
The offer is too good to be true you should do your research first when stumbling upon offers that are too good to be true even if it looks legit.
330  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Is Faucetpay paying bigger withdrawals? on: September 30, 2022, 02:38:11 PM

the support guys are employees of the site, the site pays them salary, they will never speak ill of the site, even if OP asked them that question, the support would answer him that the site pays large amounts, and the support response is not reliable , at least in this case

You got a point.

While they have been in the business for a few years AFAIK, I don't think it's easy to gauge the feedback from users that actually gamble there, let alone are on this forum.

Many members here are once active there but not anymore, its understandable because its a faucet, and many of us here started from claiming faucets but eventually shifted to big things like bounty campaign trading, and freelancing, but Faucetpay is a good place to start your journey in Cryptocurrency, those bad reviews on Trustpilot should be double checked because there are good and fake reviews there, you would not want to be the first to file a complaint here if you prove that the site is not really paying, so my advice is if in doubt then don't, there are still a lot of good casinos here with good feedbacks and trusted by the community.
331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, tourism and legal gambling age for gamblers around the world. on: September 30, 2022, 10:50:43 AM

-Delaware has the strongest regulations around gambling. Players must be at least 18 years old to play the State Lottery. However, an 18-year old may purchase a lottery ticket and give it to a younger person as a gift.
An interesting question is, If the younger person wins the lottery from the gifted ticket, will the state agree too pay them or wait till they come of legal age??

There is a conflict on that term if they don't allow below 18 years to play the state lottery then they should not let a younger person acquire a lottery ticket even as a gift, since they do not allow 18 years to play the State Lottery they will either void it or wait for the kid to reach 18 years old to receive his prize but what if the younger person is only 10 years when he receives the lottery ticket and won a jackpot he'll have to wait 8 years to receive the prize, it's better not to give the younger person a lottery ticket in case of a win there will be issues.
332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing and the casino business. on: September 30, 2022, 06:01:06 AM
The gambling industry is a multi-billion dollar industry, if you are an active gambler and a stocks investors you can hit two birds with one stone here, those who are active in gambling are likely to invest in gambling companies they know the in and out of the business, the one that is likely to invest in these casinos are whales, they have the money and the knowledge on what casinos to invest, only the pandemic can stop physical casinos from making a profit, and on online its the competition and government restrictions from players, these are two things that will hinder online and offline casinos to make a profit.
333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: September 29, 2022, 08:31:17 PM
Different levels of people have got different lifestyle. This means when the father is rich, the son will enjoy the luxury and doesn't care about money. Maybe around 25% exception among the rich list. The same with a common man will happen according to his financial capability. This can be few hundred dollars to the maximum. Here the son won't follow the footprints of his dad, because he is on the verge to reach next level of his life. Parenting is a must, but it won't give expected results all the time.

It really on the parents and how they behave and how they treat the luxury that they have, Marcus like his father does not have high regard or give importance to money, they always think that they can earn that money anytime and celebrities like them are easy to get hooked to huge spending, Marcus have his father athleticism and competitiveness but he is trying to also imitate how he spends his money, people should learn on Bill Gates who always remember who is and where he comes from and always remembers his struggle so he values money and he uses it to help underprivileged.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Watcher token on: September 29, 2022, 02:22:22 PM
This concept is not new Addmefast already implement this concept, the script is very simple, this is 2022, and what you offer and how you offer reminds us that a simple script can easily generate millions, I don't think offering ICO will get investors to invest here, they will perceive it as another easy money, there's no team in your page either we don't know who is running this project and how capable you are in running this project in a long term but anyway give it a shot, you're not good at promoting too, we have an announcement and you choose to post it here in altcoin discussion, hire a designer to be a professional to gain the trust of investors, it's hard to invite investors to invest in your project if this is the best that you can come out.
335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you change your mind on gambling ? on: September 29, 2022, 01:14:11 PM
You are a core gambler,I mean you have a reserved or particular time that you use in gambling everyday, just the way some of us are,we even add gambling expenses to our monthly budget because we gamble to entertain ourselves.
A new government came into power, and enacted a law that nobody should gamble anymore in the country i.e gambling becomes illegal. Will you just behave yourself and abide to this new law that is depriving you from having fun as a good citizen ? or will you ignore the law and keep on gambling since there are online casinos that you can gamble secretly with your mobile phones with out no one knowing ?
It happens in our country I used to bet on online cockfighting until the many irregularities and killings that happens and our government banned it, I support the ban but if they will totally ban gambling which I doubt our government can because they need taxes coming from casinos and lotteries, I will support a ban on gambling that are harmful to people but not other online gambling that is offshore, you just can't kill your desire to gamble when its already part of your life, sites like Stake, Duelbits are not harmful as long as you moderate how you play on these casinos.
336  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any experiences with mrSloty.com ? on: September 29, 2022, 09:18:10 AM
Sorry If this is not the place to post this.

Did anyone have any experience with mrSloty.com?
there are a lot of sportbook markets, but cannot find to much info about that bookie.

All I found is that the withdrawals takes a lot of time, bout 14-20 days

I am not aware of this mrsloty.com, obviously, they are not doing enough marketing, based on whois, they are already four years in existence but few people only know this casino, and if the withdrawal takes 14-20 days for you to receive your payout, I don't think any gambler will be comfortable waiting that long, they can even receive bad feedbacks and people might think that they are trying to scam their players, you will feel anxious in case you win a big amount and yet you'll have to wait 14 to 20 days.
337  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PNNV.com - Major update - need your review! on: September 27, 2022, 02:17:59 PM
Statistics;

You already established your project this early, I can say with finality that PNNV is the new Preev, just keep on marketing, people need a converter like this, we have proven it when Preev is still existing it's the number one go-to tool for converting, are you planning to add ads in the future or you will be like Preev, that is ads-free until the end, its good to promote project like this, hopefully, it will continue and it will be followed by the signature campaign after the avatar campaign.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Casino Licenses on: September 27, 2022, 09:08:14 AM
Hello,

Is it possible and legal to open an online casino without a license?
I have heard that a license only allows to put users in confidence
What do you think about this?

You can open one there are casinos that opened without a license when they started out, and after getting initial success and they want to get those people who looked for casinos with a license they eventually get one, and you can lose the competition without a license, license carries trust on it, and players tend to trust casinos with all the legalities attached to it if a casino is operating legally he is able to sue if the rights of the casino are violated, you waived it if you don't have a license.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gambling and Reputation on: September 26, 2022, 02:57:52 PM
You're a professional like a lawyer or a teacher in a respected university, will it harm your reputation if people around you or your students discover that you are into gambling, you're not really a compulsive gambler but gamble for entertainment, how will you explain this to people around you or will you explain to protect your reputation or just ignore them.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LUNA PUMP on: September 26, 2022, 01:27:35 PM
I think LUNA can be counted as scam now as a project. It seems all deceive and lies. They should have saved UST with those funds, I know you will say "they could not" but I think they could. They reacted so late than usual. Many people I follow on twitter lost money. I personally will never ever invest in any kind of LUNA tokens or projects. Its heading towards graveyard of altcoins. Its not gonna be last one.

He will soon be arrested Interpol is looking for him now, in his last statement he clarified that he is not hiding but he is, he knows that the authorities are after him he has a red notice, he is virtually a fugitive now if he is brave to face the charges and face the laws he would have turned himself in, LUNA will be soon out of the market so it's better to dump it because of this news, you cannot just dump the people who supported your project without answering them in the court of your misdoing.
Quote
A Red notice is a “request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action” according to the Interpol website.
