1201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to keep life savings more secured on: May 23, 2020, 05:31:28 PM
This is about coinomi wallet, I came across few posts on this forum saying they lose coins in coinomi wallet, some said coinomi wallet team insert a backdoor in the wallet to steal people's fund, how true is this?

Second question is, can you get me the list of open source wallet since coinomi wallet is closed source? What about trust wallet is it truly an open source wallet? Thanks

Even if they rectified it I doubt if they are going to get back the confidence of investors, they are closed source no way to check if there are bugs in their wallet, anyway there are a lot of wallets to choose from that are more safer and more trusted and open sourced than Coinomi, wallets is very important to investors, so be sure you have the most secured wallet to store your coins.
1202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Political Betting Around the World on: May 23, 2020, 04:17:08 PM
Last US elections were a perfect example how wrong the surveys can go. I remember around the election times, odds were very high for Trump while it was low for Hillary. No media had expected Trump to win it. They knew they were all set to make Hillary the President. But the actual desire of people were different. It's always interesting to gamble on politics. Small event can turn the odds from one side to another.

It's not always the case here in our country, surveys can easily predict who will win and they've accurately predicted it, so in our country it's unlikely that we will have a betting about election, in a country where survey companies can accurately predict the results betting in election is unlikely, surveys is a huge business so they are pressured to give accurate results.
1203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 10 alts under $0.10 that can go 100x on: May 23, 2020, 02:09:59 PM
So I'm looking to round out my portfolio on about 10 crypto projects that are all under $0.10 right now and have the potential for going 100x by either doing so in the past or has great potential to do so again when the next bull market hits.

I have two on my list one is an old coin that is making a huge comeback but with good potential LBRY https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/lbry-credits

The other one is a coin with a new algo that is very promising and with real potential in the market
Idena https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/idena

Look on this two coins they are just cheaper but won't in a months time.
1204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do online gamblers think about their privacy and anonymity? on: May 23, 2020, 01:47:40 PM
Thanks for adding 777Coin the gambling site that I'm promoting in my signature campaign, you can be sure that this gambling site is very trusted so do it's sister company Bitvest, they have been here for several years,I guess many will be added as many anonymous gambling sites are launching, because casino gamblers are now shifting to online gambling based on one recent survey
1205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does Gambling really mean to you? on: May 23, 2020, 01:26:01 PM

1. I wanna ask you guys are there any other definitions for you about what gambling is?
2. What are/is the accurate definition of gambling on you based on the definition above?

If you treat gambling as an entertainment, you are on a safe side, that means you are ok with your allocation and you can go home losing and even put a smile in your face because you fun playing.
If you treat gambling as something to make a business and profit out of it,then you should prepare to allocate a huge amount of money and take a huge risk of losing everything in one game.
1206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (GLC) GOBALCOIN IS SCAM OR WHAT on: May 23, 2020, 11:39:11 AM
Just hearing about the coin today and checking from coingecko it looks abandoned or better put the team aren't serious about updating the important data, which gives rise to the question of, if they are even serious about the project. Also, in my own opinion for the fact the coin as well as the team aren't showing good signs of activities since it was created, I think it's better to ignore it and save your funds if you have not yet invested. As for if it is a scam or not, I can't say, but judging from its activities and low growth I don't think it's good for investing.

This is just one of the thousand coins here in Bitcointalk that just become a memory just surprised that this coin was created in 2013 when Cryptocurrency was becoming popular and talk of the town,we can never be sure of any project some coins lived on hype and once they cannot sustain it anymore it will die down, so always check your portfolio.
1207  Economy / Speculation / Re: A shorting paradise: next target is 5.5k on: May 23, 2020, 11:22:27 AM
Op is answering all the criticism effectively so far so why making a thread a moderated one if you are open to criticism and you can answer all of this, I have suspicion on moderated topic either they are hiding something (applicable to ICO), cannot defend their projection if there are traders
or they do not want spam comment, unlikely because it will be deleted by mods, show your credibility next time by making an open thread.

1209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horseracing & Greyhounds covid19 shutdown on: May 23, 2020, 04:04:09 AM
Even though I'm not a fan of horseracing, but my close friends really like horseracing. So I watched horseracing several times. The main
reason I came to watch was not because I wanted to accompany my friend, but I also sometimes took part in horseracing betting. And it
was very fun for me, but because of this covid-19 disaster horseracing was affected. And some horseracing matches postponed like any
other sports. Hopefully the corona virus vaccine can be found soon, so that the spread of the corona virus can stop. After that all sports
including horseracing can run normally again.

It will take months or even a year before things will get back to normal, we will have a new normal now, and it's more on following what the medical experts are saying about keeping ourselves safe from infection, if they can follow those guidelines they can continue, there boxing events being held from other countries, so other sports can follow too.
1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a professional gambler on your own way. on: May 23, 2020, 01:41:48 AM

There is no guarantee that you will become successful gambler.just because you follow some strategy. Even successful professional gamblers, and they are very rare, don't have a receipe that works for everyone.
Many tried and failed to make for their living just on gambling, this is not an easy job.
Everyone of us is unique, even in gambling so you need to have your own ways and to my opinion gambling at first place should be fun.

I agree to what you are saying, each gambler is different from another gambler, there are gamblers who are so serious on their gambling that they become one, like a card reader in blackjack, they spend a lot of time and efforts to become one their dedication is very huge and they know that gambling is for them even if they wasted a lot of money.
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALTCOIN to the MOON on: May 22, 2020, 09:58:44 AM
These opportunities for altcoin by addon and include part of everything, that very good. And can make the new flagship on blockchain technology.
I don't trust all altcoins, majority of the altcoins are just pump and dump coins and they have nothing to offer to investors and the community, no platform attached to this coins, the only way these altcoins can make an impact to the community is if  they are trying to offer something new to the advancement of this technology.
1212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Getting Listed On Exchanges on: May 22, 2020, 06:31:15 AM
How does it work when you get your token listed on an exchange. Does the exchange require you give them a large amount of your tokens so they have liquidity? Who gets the money when they're selling them?

If it's a token you created you need to pay for a listing fee, every exchange has a different rules, some of them ask for your token to be deposited in their exchange they get a profit from those token once traded of course as the owner of the token you are allowed to dump your token here, which the developers are abusing.
1213  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency can not replace fiat currency. on: May 22, 2020, 02:12:39 AM
Goverments will never allow it, they want to control money. Maybe we will see digital fiat but not a btc as resserve currency

The government is trying but they can't so if they cannot beat it join it, government are now creating a digital currency on their own, China will soon launch one soon and after that many countries will follow China's lead, we cannot ignore if the most powerful country in the world is creating and becoming a model of it.
1214  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like.. on: May 22, 2020, 01:22:45 AM
If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like this?
China quarantined fiat FFS.
This tells me 100% BTC is only a financial purpose and not a practical purpose overall.

Just venting a little. This selloff is nuts.

I'm sure your venting is over the market has finally recovered, I guess the market is still young and not yet matured and the technology is not yet fully adopted, it is being used at this time but not the majority of all the nations are suing this technology to their advantage, maybe two or three years from now preparation will be set up for this kind of scenario, we are learning a lot of things of course.
1215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Underground Casinos Is it Happening? on: May 22, 2020, 12:29:18 AM
I also want to share about underground gambling activities, since for sure government can't minimise it or prevent it.
Casino for sure is normal.
Here in our country there is also underground cockfighting during this pandemic crisis, since the government decided to cancel all cockfighting activities so some people organised underground, and in different area, police always raid them.

It's bound to happen if many people who are not betting are going to watch the cockfighting only bettors should allow to watch it and besides these cockfigting are held in one's backyard where many people can see it, we have so many illegal cockfighting here in our place and the authorities can easily track where it is going to be held.
1216  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: High Bitcoin Transation!! on: May 21, 2020, 04:08:00 PM
Not the ideal time to buy stuff now, you'll have to add more fee to confirm it fast or wait for hours to get it confirm, I minimize my Bitcoin transaction now because of the very high fee, when I need fiat badly I just go for Ethereum and Doge two coins that you can easily liquidate in real time, it's really worth to keep coins like these.
1217  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Charts Hint at the Most Exciting Breakout in Over a Year. on: May 21, 2020, 03:54:58 PM
With the current situation we are in, it's hard to predict accurately I was hoping for a $10,000 break out, this will be a sign for a FOMO but unfortunately it did not materialize, I guess the $10 k we are patiently waiting for will not  happen this month, but I am hoping next month will offer a different scenario.
1218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Possible to Manipulate bitcoin price?? on: May 21, 2020, 01:31:28 PM
It applies to every market, as long as there are whales in a market there will always manipulation not only on Bitcoin but also on other coins, there was a time that a whales or group of whales manipulate the market, to crash the market, some small investors make profits from that, in my own opinion it's ok that the price crashes because that is the best time to always buy that you want to buy.
1219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin ever be 20K USD again? on: May 21, 2020, 01:08:57 PM
Why or why not?

Of course halving just finished and the incoming supply is now minimal and adoption is in progress, we just have to look on history of the price after the halving for us to believe that $20,000 is not only possible but will definitely happen and I'm excitedly waiting for it to happen.
1220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What sports do you think that can resume amid Covid-19 scare. on: May 21, 2020, 10:36:31 AM
It's not easy for other sports to just resume their activity because of lots of factors especially in a sport where it involves lots of players and staff.

What sports do you think that can be resumed amid the current situation without a hassle but still following the health protocol and standards?

Here is my list.

- Billiards
- Swimming
- Golf
- Boxing
- Poker

These sports can also be played without an audience.
Any sporting events can go back provided  that they can assured that they are compliant with the expert's advie of physical distancing,no audience, quarantine before the actual encounter, we can list chess match and dart games as a game that can go back easily as they can easily comply
