1241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: January 06, 2024, 05:34:39 PM
Hehehe...I always smile in unbelief when I read that exercise can help in addition and some other things. Maybe not for me as I do not see how this can be of help, to be honest. Fine, exercise is good for so many things, but for the things that have to do with people's minds and psychology, I think it can do little or nothing here. Gambling is beyond all that, especially when the gambler has now taken it as a hobby or is addicted to it, it takes more psychological functions and routines for this to be let go.

This is not about you seeing professional players doing it, there are a lot of reasons for that, and when it comes to regular people, even those who are consistent with exercise as what they like as a hobby are still addicted to gambling. What about that? I believe that they will link this to some kind of muscle relaxation and all that, but in practice, to cure anything mental is beyond that. If this is so true and cureable as they make people believe, I guess by now most of the people who are gambling with addiction would have been cured. It will even be easy.
Sports activities can increase self-relaxation and divert thoughts that focus on gambling. Basically, exercise focuses on fitness and health in physical conditions but also has an effect on psychological factors, although the benefits are not directly at the point of healing from gambling addiction. When you exercise discipline, you will feel changes in your health and relaxation which will help heal stress and your lifestyle will be more regular.

But I have to admit that exercise is not the point of curing gambling addiction, but at least some cases of gamblers who are addicted can be recovered by increasing outside activities such as exercise or other activities that are useful for calming the mind. However, complete recovery from gambling addiction depends on the will of the gambler and they must be disciplined in therapy.
Well said, my friend and I do not argue that physical exercise is not profitable, and as a matter of fact, we should engage in it at least two times a day if we have the time. This could, of course, alert our muscles and in turn, relieve them after the exercise and causes us to feel some kind of true bodily relief, healthier and self believe blah blah blah. But helping those who are addicted to gambling? I think it can do a little, that is if the addicted will even feel the difference after exercising. This thing we call psychology and the function of the mind takes mental power to overcome it, the Will and the Determination from where it got corrupted from the beginning (the source). You tackle the source and you will be healed. I wonder if it is easy like that why people are still addicted.

What exercise could do in my view is to try to get you engaged and take your mind off for some time for that moment and a few moments later. What happens after then, won't the person return back? This is not different from you engaging in other things and changing hobbies just to while away the time till you will think of that thing you are addicted to no more. This again is challenging but more effective than exercise. Many would try it and not succeed, but truly, if they could have an alternative and could do it successfully until they do not think of gambling again, it would help them better. However, the Will and Determination to do it are mostly needed.
I share your views. Physical activity is useful, but dealing with addiction, especially gambling, is impractical. Exercise has obvious physical benefits, but does it help overcome addiction psychologically?

Mind is powerful, and addiction is fought there. You're right - willpower and determination are the fighters in this conflict. Reprogramming the mind changes the story inside. This is like convincing a cat it's a dog - possible but requires time and a lot of persuasion.

Your encouragement to try new things is refreshing. Reversing a river's flow is difficult but feasible. Finding something that pleases the soul and fills the gambling hole is key. Creating a satisfying and diverting habit loop for painting, hiking, or cooking is key. With the correct perspective and support, recovery may be beautiful despite its challenges.
1242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: January 06, 2024, 05:06:37 PM
Even though offline looks safer, I still choose online gambling. the reason is because I am used to this and it is very easy to play with no place. wherever I am I can gamble. If we gamble offline we have to come to a certain place. I think the issue of security is the same. unless they are a large casino that has been around for a long time, otherwise they are difficult to trust whether they are truly honest in their casino or there is fraud.

Even though it looks safe, it doesn't mean it's safe in the true sense of the word. safe means free from anything that could hinder, harm or so on, especially with the theme we are discussing in this thread. basically, nothing is truly safe in the truest sense. so it's like this, when we visit a casino, be it offline or online, nothing is truly safe. safe in the sense that we are fully aware that we are risking something whatever the type of game. the most common risk, we lose in a betting session. risks that must be avoided, becoming a gambling addict. in fact, everyone has different ways and perceptions about gambling, whether it's offline gambling or online casinos. everything is connected to our own thoughts, and how we handle them.
before online casinos appeared, offline gambling was the most popular among gambling lovers. in fact, some are willing to come from far away places just to visit a gambling house to fulfill their desires. just imagine, apart from trying to travel long distances, usually we will prepare money with the bankroll that we have prepared beforehand. except for rich people, they can do anything according to their mood at any time. before the rise of online casinos, gambling addicts already existed and were normal.

Well, now let's discuss the online casino side. posted previously, I have mentioned the efficiency side of online casinos apart from their convenience for us. the question is, which is safer than offline or online gambling. for me it's the same, there's no significant difference. I can explain it according to my own opinion, but it's useless because every gambler has a different perspective. what I want to emphasize is, we are currently in the digital era. from traditional, offline, land-based gambling and it's time to become an online casino. nothing is truly safe, because we are aware and know very well that we are playing to bet. regarding other aspects, it all depends on how we look at it and how we make it as safe as possible. at least, we don't become gambling addicts. and this is an ideal and safe condition for us gamblers.
Despite saying its "safe", we're all tightrope performers in a circus of chance trying to avoid losses or addiction.

Now for the big debate: online vs. offline gambling. In real life, you get all the glitz and glamour. Its sensory overload and a test of physical and social adaptation. However, online is different. You're comfortable, yet Wi-Fi lag might ruin your mood, right? Accessibility might be dangerous for some.

Which is safer? It depends on personal choice and utensil handling. Awareness and self-control are crucial.
1243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: January 06, 2024, 04:48:17 PM

I don't have any evidence I could provide to support you that Spanish clubs tend to do well because they make UEL a priority. I have no idea how you found that out. Maybe you talked to some coaches from La Liga or some players, but I think it has nothing to do with making UEL their priority.
Looking at some of the current data, actually in my opinion when talking about the championship problem it is quite evenly distributed, it's just that for the most trophy holders of course it belongs to Spain, especially for the last 2 decades because from the period starting from 2006 to 2023 (last season) Sevilla is the club that gets the most Europa League trophies with 7 trophies coupled with 3 consecutive championships in 2014-2016 making the La Liga club's record in the Europa League not trivial and not directly at this time Spain still dominates in the acquisition of trophies when talking about competitions in the Champions League and Europa League because of the trophies that are difficult to win. In 2014-2016, the La Liga club's record in the Europa League cannot be said to be trivial and indirectly at this time Spain still dominates in the acquisition of trophies when talking about competitions in the Champions League and Europa League because of the trophies that are difficult to compete with Sevilla for the Europa League and Madrid for the Champions League.
Seven Europa League titles since 2006 is a remarkable run for Sevilla. It shows Spanish clubs' quality and consistency in these events. Given the level of competition in the Champions League, I think Real Madrid's results are more significant. Spanish clubs excel in UEFA competitions, but they also do well in domestic leagues. Spanish clubs are strong because they balance home and European competitions.

This season, Sevilla's absence from the Europa League opens up the field for other teams. Liverpool and Leverkusen, who have shown promise in the Premier League and Bundesliga, are on my radar. Leverkusen may regard the Europa League as their best chance of winning this season. Liverpool is another great candidate due to their consistency. It will be intriguing to see if any playoff teams can upset.
1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 06, 2024, 04:22:02 PM
I think there is no need to panic about the Bundesliga. UCL is a more important tournament. I believe they will have more successful matches in the Bundesliga. There are more matches ahead and the squad rotation is better than Leverkusen. If Leverkusen gets stuck at some point, Bayern is a team that can take over again.
I really agree with what you say if we just need to relax a little and enjoy every performance presented by Bayern Munich and we don't need to doubt that in history Munich has always succeeded in winning the Bundesliga title even though I want Leverkusen to stay in first place longer but that's all just to get rid of boredom for a moment because usually you see Bayern Munich easily reach first place but this season it is difficult for Leverkusen who is in first position.
I still have great confidence that Bayern munich is currently only focused on winning the trophy in the Champions League and certainly at the end of the season Bayern Munich will succeed in taking over Leverkusen.

I think winning the Chmpanios League is much more important for any team than the Bundesliga but still for a team like Leverkusen when they are having a record in the Bundesliga, that's normal to see them putting much more effort into the Bundesliga matches. On the other hand, we have Bayern Munich, they are also playing in these two tournaments but it seems Bayern Munich is trying harder for the Chmpanios League than Leverkusen.

Bayern Munich's Champions League focus looks purposeful, especially with their current lineup. Harry Kane and Sane are great. Their partnership may be the greatest in Europe, and their field chemistry is obvious. Kane's arrival has given Bayern renewed firepower, making them a tournament powerhouse.

However, I understand Leverkusen's position. When you set Bundesliga records, you naturally focus there. Play to your strengths and prioritize where you can make the biggest difference. Leverkusen is in the Bundesliga, but Bayern, with their star-studded team, may aspire further and win the Champions League. Im fascinated by how both clubs are using their talents and situations this season.
1245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A tip for staying resposible while gambling. on: January 06, 2024, 03:58:27 PM
from this discussion the conclusion is that to gamble responsibly you must have a strong desire, discipline, commitment and consistency, isn't that right?
sometimes we ourselves find it too complicated to interpret the word gambling responsibly and sometimes we also have difficulty doing this, even though everything is very easy, it's just that sometimes we think too much about very complicated things.

like whatever we talk about here, it's all about tips for gambling responsibly and just imagine we start from the simplest way of planning a budget and stop after losing or after winning and this is very easy for us to do but what's difficult is only our own minds think gambling responsibly is a very difficult endeavor to undertake.
Yes, every gambler must own everything you mentioned so they will not fall into gambling. Maybe we don't need to interpret it too complicatedly and just need to understand that gambling requires clear restrictions so that we don't gamble excessively. We must be able to use it as a free time activity and immediately stop gambling when we start gambling for too long. By practicing everything, we can use gambling as it is and will not try to chase the win because it will not be easy to get.

If everything can be done responsibly, we can enjoy gambling as entertainment and fill our free time. We will not consider how to recover from previous losses or win bigger wins. Everything will only be done with self-control and awareness that enjoying gambling is the most important thing and not chasing the end result. Some people may want to win or recover from their losses, but as long as they realize it won't be easy, they won't be eager to get it.

Staying responsible while gambling is crucial in any gambler's life, it's not an easy task, but the strategies which elevates responsible gambling should be practiced by gamblers. As the outcome of being compulsive in gambling, is demeaning in the life of gamblers. It's a personal choice though, but at some point, gamblers don't have a choice. They forget about all the strategies they've learnt before participating in gambling. It could be as a result of not being attentive to the amount of money that has been wagered while gambling, then after the day is over, the gambler begin to worry about how he'd lost all the money he had for other things. Gamblers need to stay attentive and not lose out control. Losing money in gambling is as a result of lost of control. The discipline to remember our gambling strategies is crucial. However, if a gambler is not prepared to remember the advise and strategies shared by other members, they can craft theirs, which would be easier to recur like Op did.
I agree. Managing your gambling game is like dieting at a candy store. Tough, right? However, strategy is key, as you indicated. First step? Recognize losing control

Like crafting your own healthy snack recipe, its personal and more likely to stick. Great point about how Op made theirs. Why not personalize your gambling? Consider a "fun budget" your gambling "cheat meal". Not restricting, but enjoying responsibly.

Remember that gambling should be like seasoning: a little goes a long way, but too much will ruin the dish. Keep balance, be vigilant, and have fun. The game should be enjoyed without taking over your life, not simply the money.
1246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: January 06, 2024, 03:34:58 PM
What I have learnt so far in gambling is never to be greedy. Sometimes greedyness in gambling is the reason behind many loses. Whenever you play a game and almost Al the games has played down, there is a need to cashout the possible ones Instead of waiting patiently to win all. I believe most people where oppotuned to win big but choose to be greedy in other to win everything dey loose.
I have learnt also that for you to win sometimes you need to choose few games not too much accumulated games, because over accumulated games gives you less privilege to win rather chose few games and bigoney for stake.
Avoiding greed is something that every gambler should remember, especially those who have won. That greed will become great when they win; if they cannot, they will be controlled by greed and continue gambling without any self-control. That will cause gamblers to experience loss after loss, which could become more and more if they don't immediately realize that what they have done is wrong. They will only lose their money in gambling without being able to win again, so we must avoid this by maintaining the self-control we have practised. We gamble to have fun and we shouldn't gamble excessively because that will only result in more losses. If we can win, we must immediately end the gambling game and leave the casino to save ourselves from losses that might be bigger than the winnings we have obtained.
Everyone's been there, right? You're winning streak makes you king of the world.  I've learnt the hard way that gambling requires discipline.

Yes, I like fun. Fluttering is fun. When you chase losses, things change. What was once "fun" becomes a downward spiral of terrible choices. I constantly tell gamblers, "Winning is terrific, but understanding when to quit? The true skill is there." Kill your greed and you've won half the battle.

Gamble for fun, excitement, and socializing. When it stops being entertaining, bow and leave. Remember that casinos are monuments to the overly ambitious, not winners. Maintain your wits, pocketbook, and humor. Isnt laughter the best way to stay sane in a world of rolling dice?
1247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: January 06, 2024, 03:12:20 PM
There is a matchup between Leipzig and Real Madrid as well. Real Madrid are clearly the favourite side of it however we might see some good resistance from Leipzig especially in Germany. The first game is there as well by the way. Even getting a draw would make Leipzig happy I assume because they are facing one of the title favourites.

At the end of the day Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid should be able to show their quality by a solid win at Santiago Bernabeu. Leipzig don't have the capacity to eliminate such team after the group stage. It isn't like the group stage anymore. The favourites take it even more seriously after that stage ends.
Everyone will predict that this match will belong to Real Madrid and Leipzig certainly understands this very well so they will be able to play without pressure so they can continue to put pressure on their opponents, especially in the first match.
The match is still over a month away so Leipzig can prepare themselves well even though there will be changes to the current odds it doesn't look like it will be much different where Real Madrid will get quite attractive odds in the match around @1.85-@2.00, but bet on yes both teams to scores, In my opinion, would be better than choosing Real Madrid on the money line because after all Leipzig is not a weak team and the chance of holding a draw in the first match is for Leipzig.
Leipzig may benefit from everyone's focus on Real Madrid in this matchup. Ironically, knowing the chances against them could help. Real Madrid is a Champions League giant; their record speaks for itself. Leipzig is no pushover. They've overcome tough matches previously, and the lack of pressure could help them play more aggressively, especially in that opening encounter.

Not to be ignored is Real Madrid's high-stakes game experience. Leipzig will have to deal with their unmatched pressure tolerance. In January, Leipzig and Real Madrid will both look to improve. Despite Leipzig's strengths, I think Real Madrid will win this match. It will be intriguing to see how the strategies evolve, especially with potential post-transfer window alterations in both teams.
1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 06, 2024, 02:50:16 PM
Ten Hag had enough time and he has not being able to be productive with that time. Do you think he will be given more time that is beyond this season without replacing him? He is a great coach and that was why Manchester United brought him in as a manager. I don’t know his problem and why this inconsistency has been their for too long, I hope there’s a change soon because if there is no any, Manchester United will not finish the game in a good position with others. There is still room for improvement now that the second round of the season is just beginning.
When Erik Ten Hag was appointed, I know alot of Manchester United fans that were happy but now they frown their faces. At this point, I've no clue if Erik Ten Hag is the perfect coach that would strengthen the performance of the club or he's just one of these random coach that will struggle from the first day in office as appointed headcoach and struggle till he's fire by the team board members. Erik Ten Hag have been given enough time to fix the club but it seems he's effort is not counting, there are particles he will take to ensure he's on the winning track.
When he was appointed as Manchester united he did, his performance in the first season wasn't bad and last season he was able to coached the team to be in the first four position. For sure fans is not happy with Eric Ten Hag because the team is not performing well and you don't expect the club to still keep him when no positive result is coming from. I don't think if Ten Hag can be able to revive the team back, Manchester United have really been struggling since the beginning of the season,  the performance of Ten Hag right is not what the is expecting from him, he may likely lose his jobs if the team keeps on performing poor.
Really, I feel for Ten Hag. This season at Manchester United has been tough for him. Defense to midfield to offense have been a rollercoaster, and even the offensive is struggling. He's always fixing one issue only to create another. Even Rashford has lost his scoring touch, and dont even mention the goalkeeping issue. I think blaming Ten Hag is unfair. He's doing his best, but sometimes thats not enough to restore United's greatness.

I think its more than the coach. A team game, after all. Players, staff, and coaches all contribute. But to expect Ten Hag to wave a magic wand and restore everything overnight? Its unrealistic. Besides criticism, he needs support. Perhaps he might improve things given more time and funding.
1249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 06, 2024, 02:28:19 PM
`

No you didn't Mbappe blame at all, but the logic you applied in your first post would be the same what I posted about Mbappe. No players in the world will guarantee you the Champions League trophy. If one club had bought Ronaldo, Messi and Mbappe, do you think that they would have won the Champions League five years in a row guaranteed? No, probably not. But this doesn't mean that star players are not needed. First of all, star player is a vague term without definition, at least as you used it. Secondly, no team regardless of how it is composed will win the trophy guaranteed.
Your point is valid. While star players like Mbappe are talented, they dont guarantee trophies. The puzzle is complicated. Consider Chelsea and Manchester United. Their squads are full with stars, yet they're underperforming in the Premier League. This proves that large names dont guarantee success. How these players work together and the team plan matter more.

I think its about balancing individual brilliance and teamwork. Case in point: PSG. Mbappe is a scoring machine, but the Champions League is too tough for him. The squad needs strategy, chemistry, and unity. Its about teamwork, not simply goals. Many star-studded teams fail here. They forsake teamwork and emotional connection in favor of individual skill. A team must combine individual skills with a cohesive strategy and a harmonious dressing room to succeed, especially in the UCL.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 06, 2024, 02:00:59 PM

In the game against Las Palmas yesterday, Barcelona performed admirably. Even though the way the game started made me think Las Palmas would win, they played a really strong game and didn't let Barcelona level; instead, they made a mistake in the second half. The game was really hard, and I had expected more from Las Palmas, but they were unable to maintain their consistency, which subsequently allowed Barcelona the opportunity to win the match in the second half of the competition.
Watching the game Las Palmas vs Barcelona gives impression that any team in La Liga can give a tough fight against Barca. It doesnt really seem how Barca used to be so scary. Barca seemed lucky to able to capitalize on their mistake in the second half, but they demonstrates the importance of staying focused and taking advantage of opportunities in a match.

Maintaining a high level of performance throughout the entire game for Las Palmas can be challenging. Barcelona's ability to navigate a challenging match and secure a win is something to show that they still have the competitiveness and adaptability on the field. But It's unsustainable to concede first in the game which they are expected to win comfortably.
Watching Barca right now makes me feel mixed. It's obvious they're not as powerful as before. Most La Liga teams have scored against them in recent seasons, which is concerning. Relying too much on past achievements and Messi's shadow may be to blame. Barcelona is in transition, unlike Real Madrid and Bayern, which have varied their strategy and player reliance.

Their match versus Las Palmas was another example. Though they won, conceding early in games they should dominate is concerning. Despite staying on the tightrope, its not the confident stride we used to see. To regain their past greatness, they require a major strategic and management overhaul.
1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 06, 2024, 01:44:11 PM
Inter Milan vs Verona

Although Inter has just slipped last week because they playing draw against Genoa but their records is still very impressive that in the last 12 matches in Serie A Inter was unbeatable besides these records Inter also has got 4 wins at home with cleansheet status so Inter is really in the good condition and about their opponent Verona this team was so weak and since last season Verona always be hard struggling to avoiding relegation zone and this season too from 18 matches in Serie A Verona have already to lose 10 times and it makes they are one of the teams that could potentially be relegated

Draw result from Genoa makes Juventus can cut their gap points with Inter on league standings so if Inter want to stayed at first place then today Inter should be focus to this match to gets the winning result because if they failed to win again today then Juventus had good chances to taking over first place from them but i have a good news regarding Lautaro Martinez because this player recently has been return to training and Inzaghi will thinking possibility to played him since the beginning of match with Pavard however the bookmakers provide low odds for Inter @1.17 but other option just like both teams to scores or over 2.5 goals also seems good instead of Inter win
Im very optimistic about Inter's chances in their next game against Verona. Verona hasnt been playing their best this season; they've had a lot of problems. While Inter has been having a good run, they did tie with Genoa. Its hard not to back them since they havent lost in Serie A and have a good home record. Besides, hearing that Lautaro Martinez is back to training is very good news! Putting him on the field right away would make all the difference in the game. He's the heart of the team's attack. We now know how important he is to Inter's progress. They're like a ship without a sail without him. If he comes back, Inter might get a big win, especially against a team like Verona that is having a hard time staying in the game.
1252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 06, 2024, 01:26:49 PM
Regarding Mbappe, I’d love to see him join Liverpool but realistically it’s just not going to happen.

For now, I also think he won't move to Liverpool although it would be a good sporting fit. Mbappe wants to win the Champions League. PSG doesn't currently have the coach and the team to achieve that. The season's group stage of the CL has shown that the team has a lot of problems. He would certainly have a better chance with Liverpool to win the cup, but I think Real Madrid will get the nod.
I think Mbappe's PSG situation is stable. His new deal with them seems good to both sides. Based on my research, PSG relies heavily on Mbappe. I cant fathom them without him; he's crucial. Although Liverpool might provide a solid foundation for Champions League glory, Im not sure he would fit in with their present roster. They've got something great with Mo Salah, so adding Mbappe may be difficult.

Real Madrid is a more likely destination, but not immediately. They might avoid a high transfer price by waiting until Mbappe's free at the conclusion of the season. Real shouldnt spend over 100 million Euros mid-season when they can acquire him for free. PSG wont sell their best player cheaply, and Real Madrid knows patience is key.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lack of proper knowledge on casino games increases chance of loss and reduce fun on: January 06, 2024, 01:05:16 PM
`

That's clear, because casino companies also aim to make a profit, not provide a profit, therefore I think even though they have good knowledge of gambling, it doesn't guarantee that they can win easily, especially by continuing to win and win, I don't think that's possible. It can happen, even if the person has good experience and good knowledge but that doesn't rule out the possibility that they will lose in gambling. because the percentage of losses that occur in gambling is very large, and some people also say that gambling is based on 50/50, but I myself am not sure about that, I am more confident in 90/10, the number of percentage losses that is superior in gambling.

some people believe in tricks or strategies in gambling that they think can make it easy for them to win at gambling, but unfortunately in my opinion it's just a waste of time, even though they use the tricks or strategies in gambling I'm sure it cannot make it easier and does not guarantee that they will easily win,  and it will only make them more eager to gamble and to experience a lot of losses.
If winning at gambling was as easy as following a few tactics, wouldnt we all be millionaires on yachts? Unfortunately, we're talking the illusive 90/10 loss-to-win ratio, which my opinion suggests is right. Probability and business principles dictate that the house always wins.

How about those strategies. I've seen many "guaranteed" methods, and they're as trustworthy as chocolate teapots. They may bring a brief pleasure or win, but they're merely sophisticated methods to lose money. These techniques capitalize on the addictive pleasure of gambling and danger.

So, my advice? Gamble for fun, not profit. Stay within your budget, and remember that playing to win big is the incorrect goal. If you win, consider it a nice surprise, like finding an extra fry in your takeout bag.
1254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gamblers do retired betting gambles on: January 06, 2024, 12:45:14 PM
Gambling is personal. Like "At what age should one stop eating chocolate?" It differs by person. Some lose interest in betting as they become older, but your passionate septuagenarian may still enjoy it. Individual decision and responsibility, not a set age limit.

I believe any hobby, including gambling, should provide more joy than stress. When financial or emotional losses surpass successes, it may be time to reassess. Quality of experience matters more than age or revenues. Gambling should be a treat, not a lifestyle. To all my fellow enthusiasts, may your bets be joyous, your losses light, and your retirement from the game be happy.
1255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most logical and profitable game on: January 06, 2024, 12:24:04 PM
I've spent a lot of time (and money) on gambling, so here's my take.

If you want to win logically, I recommend sports betting. Sports betting isnt luck-based like slots or the lottery. Like chess with athletes instead of pieces, you must know the players, understand the game, and follow the numbers. Knowledge, intuition, and luck are involved.

Regardless of the game, the house always wins. Always. Bear in mind. Strategy goes beyond choosing the right game. Management of your bankroll, knowing when to wager and when to quit. And hey, if all else fails, just remember the golden rule of gambling – have fun (responsibly, of course)!
1256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shared games helped you before? on: January 06, 2024, 12:00:33 PM
I had a guy who considered himself a gambling oracle, too. He missed more than hit. But whats gambling without drama?

He won a little jackpot the day I quit. Classic, yes? Luck seems to make fun of us with "what-ifs". However, its part of the gamble's attractiveness. The excitement of the unknown, the pursuit of victory. Isnt giving up before a major win life's way of shouting, "Gotcha!"?

However, your story makes me smile. It reminds us that gambling timing is everything and nothing. Reality and hope dance a delicate tango. Im still laughing at my near-misses and what-could-have-beens, even if I havent hit the big one.

Countries might crack down on DEXs. I mean, they've tried to put a leash on everything from the internet to music sharing, right?

My takeaway is that the crypto community is robust. I bet my last Satoshi that anonymous contributions would rise if governments targeted DEX devs. Imagining a decentralized resistance movement is poetic, right? Legislation targeting non-compliant DEXs is like regulatory whack-a-mole. One goes down, two more pop up.

Acknowledge the global stage. Some countries may go "big brother" on DEXs, but others may embrace them. Due to the internet and DEXs' nature, they can operate worldwide. Tor is a refuge for the digitally displaced. Will DEXs survive bans? Yes, they will. They do well in the darkest parts of the web and are always one step ahead of the authorities. Guess which mouse has a jetpack in the cat-and-mouse game?

What you say is very correct, of course we don't need to read books whose authors don't have clear reference sources because this will make it difficult for us to invest in Bitcoin and if we choose to read a book we have to first find out the background of the author, whether it is true. Whether an author has clear references or not, some people who make videos sometimes just take advantage for themselves and don't care whether what they say is in accordance with existing reality or not.

When someone finds out that the book they are reading contains wrong understanding, of course they will never read the book again and will look for a book that has an explanation and a clear reference source.
People read books to broaden their horizons so that they know more about the contents, but if the author cannot present accurate information, how can we possibly make comparisons about the writing that has been written? It is important to first look at the author's background because if you follow it incorrectly it will give a misleading understanding and even if the intention is to read then there must be a filter to filter the information contained in the book.

Now there are many videos and book made that are not about the content but rather trying to narrate something and they try to make a profit with these videos. Therefore, we have to be smart in choosing the reading and video we watch because if it is wrong it will give a wrong understanding.
I always say that reading a book without a critical lens is likely miss the point. Checking an author's credentials? An absolute must.  Who hasn't gone down a YouTube rabbit hole and questioned their life choices hours later? Information seekers should proudly display their skepticism. Ask inquiries, get sources, and never trust anything.

We've got to be smart about what we consume, just like we're careful about what we eat (well, most of the time). Misinformation is brain junk food - easy to consume but unhealthy.
1259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin stability important? on: January 06, 2024, 10:55:53 AM
I think promoting Bitcoin stability is partly a matter of avoiding the Alcoin crisis, major changes in cryptocurrency activity, high inflation and excessive volatility, and the Alcoin market. Volatility can increase uncertainty, hinder investment, hinder growth in Alcocent.
What is your opinion?
On the other hand, volatility can make the market more exciting right?
Investors will become more excited to invest in it because they believe that volatility will give profits to them. Yes, there's a risk, but all investments have risks.

Promote Bitcoin stability? Bitcoin will never become stable, and FYI, those so-called stablecoins aren't stable as well so what do you expect with Bitcoin? There are some investors out there who see Bitcoin as an asset, and that alone is a good reason why it will never become stable. I mean all assets go up, and down right? That's what makes people rich, but makes them poor as well.

Nevertheless, Bitcoin stability will never happen because it isn't designed to be like that.
Some people think Bitcoin will never be stable, which could be true. But isnt stability just a matter of view? If Bitcoin really takes off in the future, we might look at gold and say, "Wow, thats way too unstable compared to Bitcoin!" The idea of stability is relative. We talk about Bitcoin in terms of the dollar right now, but who knows if that wont change? In any case, there was a time when people thought paper money was way too unstable compared to gold.

Supporting Bitcoin means believing in its potential to change financial standards, not merely accepting its current condition. Even though its crazy right now, isnt that part of its appeal? Bitcoin is volatile, but thats not a bad thing; its just a sign that the system is still figuring out where it fits in the world. One day, we might just be laughing about how we used to think Bitcoin was the unstable one.

What sparks the investment fire? I get you; The dive is exciting but flipping is terrifying. Its a classic case of risk vs. reward.

Then why do I put money into Bitcoin? Being revolutionary is important to me. Its like being at the forefront of the internet explosion, but for future monetary. Bitcoin is more to me than just money; its a new way to think about freedom and money. The market is more volatile than a rollercoaster, but thats the fun.

Just so you know, Im not telling you to put all of your money into Bitcoin. Try it small, dip your toes. Its hard to understand the market, but isnt everything? Its part of the journey to learn and understand more. Remember, every Bitcoin investor started where you are. So, have a party when you make your first buy. You have become part of a group of pioneers. You never know, you might even encourage someone else to take the leap.
