61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between Profit And Conscience on: November 04, 2023, 06:59:20 PM
~snip~
He thinks that with the lotto outlet, he will encourage people to gamble which is against his morals so it is a battle between his conscience and the profit.

So what's the best decision to take he is afraid if he lets go of this opportunity the lotto agent will eventually find a location in their place and eventually lose the opportunity to make a profit.
If I were in the position, I will take the opportunity. The opportunity came to your friend without seeking and I personally think that it is a good business deal between your friend and the lotto agent. When it comes to morality, I don't find it wrong since it is legal in your country and I don't think that having a business like that in your area encourage people to gamble and join the lottery. Having a gun shop in your local area doesn't mean that you encourage or want everyone to buy a gun from you right? At the end of the day, your friend will still have the final verdict about this opportunity, it will depend on how he will scale the opportunity vs the morality that he currently have.
Kinda weird to compare a lotto outlet to a gun shop as they are to far to be the same. Gun shops only operates and sells to those who are eligible while a lotto outlet are allowed for those who met the age requirement.
Anyways, accepting the offer would be the best move especially if the potential profit would be much higher compared to other businesses. There's nothing really wrong with operating a lotto outlet especially if your country allows it. Also, it's not like your forcing people and promoting it to the people which may hurt his friends moral. The possible option for OP is to advice his friends and point their morals and conscience the right way as they are not really promoting it but rather they only are a business.
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Demo vs Real slots on: November 04, 2023, 04:17:21 PM
My question is, why does the demo mode seem to pay more than the real mode, and has anyone else noticed this difference?
Demo mode and real mode has differences when it come to the rate it has been set up. I thought about this before and check why it's easier to win on demo mode and there are some websites who indicates this information as demo mode are only used for players to test the game and have fun. It's usually set up with easier and laid back rate for you to be able to hit most of the bonuses and experience it first hand before playing with your money so that you won't be surprised and know the mechanics of that certain slot game works.
63  Local / Pilipinas / Re: DT trading scam, marami na daw hindi nkawithdraw on: November 04, 2023, 02:35:02 PM
Ang kulang talaga saating mga pinoy is financial literacy or even basic knowledge lang about schemes na kagaya nito.

64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Difference between crypto gamblers - regular gamblers on: November 03, 2023, 11:32:36 PM
Throughout my years using cryptocurrency I've noticed that there are some differences between people that use crypto and those that might not. People using crypto are usually more aware of little details, they seek out to have more privacy and better sources of information. So that followed suit when it came for crypto to meet gambling as well.

It was crypto casinos that popularized the notion of provably fair gambling, and now the world had access to a technology that could undeniably prove the randomness of each bet. Regular online casinos to this day avoid using this technology, and gamblers that are not aware of crypto's perks rarely ever inquire about it. This is yet another good example of a difference between crypto gamblers and regular gamblers.

Overall I think that crypto gamblers are more likely to make more educated decisions with how they handle their money overall, while regular gamblers will be easily tricked by old tricks such as deceptive bonuses in casinos and similar tricks and regular gamblers will also more easily fall victim to their own psychological tricks such as being carried away and try to bet more to win your losses etc. What are your thoughts? Have you experienced something similar?
There's not much difference between regular online casinos and crypto online casinos as there's platform who offer the same services or even better from regular to crypto casino or vice versa.
As per the gambler itself, it varies to each gamblers as there are some who are more strategic when it comes to fiat as they deal with higher number of money compared to crypto such as bitcoin where you only gamble decimal amount. But still, both gamblers can be manipulated or tricked by bonuses, get addicted and even lose control with their bets. The only main difference is what you're gambling on where regular use fiat and crypto uses crypto but for me, it's much more riskier with crypto gambling as not only that you're gambling with your coins but also the market can change for that coin and change the value you'll have. For example, you may double the bankroll of your crypto and the market drops, instead on having twice the value, you may even have lower value from what the value you've started afterwards.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Casinos good or bad? on: November 03, 2023, 10:29:38 PM
They are good for those people or gamblers who are always mobile.
But my take on this, hard to trust significant amount of money on this type of casino.
If I will play on this, maybe I will just use loose change and that's it.
And if I will seriously play and use good amount of money, I will just use those trusted casinos.
I don't really think that it's even recommended for mobile online gamblers as there's already known and reputable gambling platforms out there that provides great mobile experience on their website.
Just as you've said and what others have mentioned, it's really hard to trust most things or anything from telegram as a lot of scammers and trolls are lurking out there. It's really hard to trust them with your funds, probably most players who gamble there are those who just want to spend their free time and has limited access to the internet.
66  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: NEW NFT GAME - MonMon Land on: November 03, 2023, 08:26:35 PM
67  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tarot cards gamit pang predict ng market? on: November 03, 2023, 06:57:16 PM
Walang masama kung maniniwala tayo dito, ang masama e kung ginagawa mong sugal ang paginvest, though it is some kind of gambling somehow. Sabi nga ng mga matagal na sa trading, "We choose our faith in mathematical framework that is free of politics and human error", crypto is good choice talaga kahit ano pang lumabas dyan sa tarot cards haha.

Pero still, wala naman talagang good or bad when it comes sa investment sa bitcoin basta alam mo lang kung kelan mo ilalabas mapa-long term or short term man to.
68  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Mag update ng latest 3.3.5 Electrum on: November 03, 2023, 04:09:30 PM

Magandang basahin mo tong thread na to ni @1miau, Why people should be using SegWit addresses.

69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: November 02, 2023, 05:56:01 PM
A gambling addict knows no boundaries. Meanwhile, a successful gambler knows his limitations and follows it so things won't go wrong. Overspending and allotting so much time just to bet and play without proper direction in mind and assessment of the risks are most commonly done by gambling addicts. They do not really care much about the repercussions and rather continue to play and bet as much as they like. They disregard thinking about the trajectory of their gameplays and just continuously chase winnings after winnings or losses. And that's a whole lot different to those people who have plans and strategies to be successful.

Successful gamblers know when to stop and when to quit. Taking a break is never a sign of defeat. Sometimes you just really have to reflect on the things that you did - what went wrong or how you can do better, so that the next time around, you'll be achieving what you want.
Basically, in some way successful gamblers are quite the opposite of what gambling addicts are. Successful gamblers mostly strategize and limits their bets to minimize loses and maximizing odds for it to be on their favor which is the reason as to why they are successful on their gambling endeavors. But just as successful gamblers are, gambling addicts can also be as responsible as successful gambler however they lack the strategy to maximize their profit and continue gambling even with continuous loses.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use multiple platforms for betting? on: November 02, 2023, 05:18:18 PM
The strategy of funding accounts on multiple bookmakers is known to be used by people that want to catch the best odds when betting on sports for example. Sometimes people will monitor multiple platforms and bet when the odds allow then for a safe win. However, I am not sure if this strategy would be worth attempting when doing crypto-based betting on the sports books that offer it.

What are your thoughts on this? When you bet with crypto do you find it easier or harder to fund multiple accounts? Because I am getting a sense that crypto bettors are more compelled to shop around a lot more, but only until they find a bookmakers that fits their needs, and then they will hardly move any funds to other platforms. Surely there must be some reasons behind this or even some very different takes. What are your thoughts?
I did back then and I tried to visit multiple platforms before even betting as there are some platforms who offer better odds compared to the most common gambling platforms out there as they use other bookmarker. However, I had stop to as I don't find it worthy of the hassle as it may provide better odds but not much. Also, there's a concern of multiple KYC on multiple platforms which back then wasn't much of an issue since you can gamble and withdraw without doing the verification but still even without this, I still think that it's not worth it to use multiple platforms.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: November 02, 2023, 04:16:56 PM
You have a point, It's quite difficult to give them an advice about setting a budget if we are aware that the gambler is having an addiction, possible they can't control their spending habit as well as their self. They need an assistance and support from the medical experts as well as from their family who really cares about them. though it is a situational issues, It's better to at least giving a try to set a budget also seeking medical help so that gamblers can make a better decision for theirself.

Giving advice to gambling addicts will only be in vain because for gambling addicts only their plans are the most appropriate and whatever happens the best advice is only from something that comes out of their own mind so it would be in vain to give budget advice or whatever.
If it's about curing addiction, you don't need to go directly to the doctor and ask for help from medical experts to cure addiction, but it would be better if it all started from yourself to recover from your addiction and the right way is to just instill a strong stance to reduce your gambling budget. But still, it all depends on your own convictions and desires without any coercion from other people.
That's the thing about gambling addiction, if the person himself doesn't want anything to change or have their addiction be controlled or managed then there's nothing out there to stop them. Just like any addiction, without any outside assistance or any hindrance or intervention from your friends or family, it'll be harder to stop.
Previously, some of my friends are advising me to stop gambling as most of my funds and money are being used for online gambling and I mostly lose but I got hooked when I've won on some of my gambling session but I never stop and listen to them until I realize that I don't have any money to spend and got into loans from my friends which made me decide to stop and control my gambling leisures.
72  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: NEW NFT GAME - MonMon Land on: November 02, 2023, 03:28:49 PM

Could you please elaborate yung opinyon mo na magtretrend ito?
73  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tarot cards gamit pang predict ng market? on: November 02, 2023, 02:14:16 PM

74  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: NEW NFT GAME - MonMon Land on: November 01, 2023, 04:07:55 PM

If ever na more than a month bago pa makaROI sa laro much better siguro na maghintay at magresearch muna bago mag reinvest kasi most of time sa mga nakaROI nag-iinvest ng mas malaki after.

75  Local / Pilipinas / Re: bakit dapat mong maintindihan at wag matakot sa dip on: November 01, 2023, 01:45:19 PM
  • Scam

76  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Nirerecomend Mo Ba Ang Article Na Ito Sa Mga Baguhan Sa Bitcoin on: November 01, 2023, 12:29:21 PM

For me, sisimulan ko muna iparenovate yung mismong property namin tapos magpaparoom for rent since crowded naman yung location namin.
Well, kwento mo yan.

If you want me to pinpoint a major difference between them, then I would that trading requires skill to be profitable while the criteria for gambling profitability is luck.

The only similarity between them is money management, as the only way to save yourself from losing money in both trading and gambling is effective money management.
Yes money management and also limiting your budget is very important because it will make your way of gambling very safe and also save yourself from losing a lot of money and it is true that not only in gambling but also in trading everyone has the risk of losing money at any time if you cannot control and manage it. Correctly, at least play safely using a healthier mindset, because that's important.

Even though we know that both have the same risk of losing money, whether trading or gambling, they are different in making a profit, because as you said, gambling relies on luck and a little skill, while trading requires a lot of skill and a little luck, trading can be analyzed compared to playing. gambling, so the most important thing in carrying out both is really good money management and the two don't really show a big difference
I think you're confused on how much of a difference gambling and trading be. There's too much difference between the two as trading mostly rely on skills as a trader will need to be keen on details such as having a good TA skills and be observant to the market to gain profit while gambling mostly rely on luck to gain profit. Both do pose risk on your funds but you can manage your loses much better on trading than on gambling.

Money or crypto funds management are a key thing to almost any investiture that anyone can go through whether it's trading or gambling as it control how much money you may lose or gain.
