201  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May politician kaya na pro Bitcoin or may crypto investments? on: September 21, 2023, 02:41:41 AM

202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: September 21, 2023, 01:40:18 AM
New, almost unknown, casinos may be created initially with the goal of preventing you from withdrawing money. It will look like a trap. They will let you withdraw once, so that you think that you can trust them with large sums, and when you make a large deposit, they will never allow you to withdraw your money under various pretexts.
That is why gamblers should deposit only small sums of money at brand new casinos which don't have any trust built inside the community yet. This way they prevent considerable losses, while helping the casino to build its reputation, because it's a slow process which happens step by step, as more and more players sign up on the platform, start playing and sharing their personal experiences with another gamblers at forums like bitcointalk.

As reputation grows slowly, gamblers must feel safer to make larger deposits until not bothering about this anymore, just like they don't when playing at big consolidated platforms of crypto gambling industry.
Never ever try to deposit large sum of money or crypto to any newly opened online casino or gambling platform. Also, most of these new casinos only offer limited amount of deposit as not all of them can provide huge amount to their users if ever they win.

Regarding the first point about not being sure about the fairness of the games and whether the casino is cheating his customers or not by manipulating the results, then the safest thing to do is to play only provably fair games. Provably fair algorithms solve this problem as it lets you verify the results by your self and see if they have been manipulated. However, thus doesn't necessary mean that the casino is completely safe and trustworthy. You need to do your own research as you suggested.
Most if not all, gambling platforms use the probably fair algorithms to make sure that their users aren't scammed or there's no tampering on each bets. Basically, if you found any casino that doesn't provide probably fair, avoid them.
203  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May politician kaya na pro Bitcoin or may crypto investments? on: September 19, 2023, 09:47:59 PM

Pero still hopeful pa rin ako, if ever magbago man ang hangin
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: September 17, 2023, 11:16:11 PM
Now I'm quite curious how other gamblers are managing this part of the story, if they manage it at all.

So, question to you, did you ever consider paying taxes on your gambling winnings, or deduct the taxes with the losses you've created? If not, what is the reasoning behind it?
Tax code in my country which is the Philippines is pretty vague when it comes to gambling winnings, although it says that if my winnings are around 200 USD below are taxed at 10% while anything above would be taxed at 20% pretty big to be honest and this is the first time that I've known of this because I don't think the Revenue Service in my country hasn't been on my ass yet for taxes regarding gambling winnings, I only play poker though so it's possible casinos and lottery wins are a different thing.
Tax codes at the Philippines are not quite good and strict compared to other country especially the US. BIR or IRS on other country aren't gonna be on your ass if you're not super rich and you won't even feel them. But still there's a lot of regulation and policy as to how much are taxable to your winnings as it varies depending on the amount of your winnings.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the Difference Between Plying Gambling on Online Sites and Real Casinos? on: September 17, 2023, 12:06:37 AM
In my country there are no casinos operating because it is an illegal activity. However, many online gambling sites operate and have many users from our country.
If gambling is illegal then it's entirely prohibited whether it's online or offline so you might want to check the casino ToS that you are currently playing which has restricted residents from your country or else your account will be locked.

About the experience, you can meet people in casinos whereas online just like random you have no idea who you are betting against but from game point of view it's more or less the same, and online gambling is much more convenient cause you have countless choices of games to choose at the convenience of sitting in your home and you may start with few cents cause most crypto casinos set minimum betting amount is too low.
Looks like OP already understand the risk his doing gambling online especially that he knows gambling is illegal on his gambling. Some gambling platform even restrict access to these countries to avoid them from playing on their platform.

Anyways, there's a lot of difference gambling online and offline especially on how different the experience are playing on both. Just like you've mentioned the minimum betting amount online are much lower compared to a physical casino but you can also play with a small amount offline however only a few people do so  as it feels shameful doing so. You just have to experience both to have a more brief conclusion on how different they are.
206  Local / Pilipinas / Re: High-Level Resignation sa Binance on: September 15, 2023, 10:39:24 PM

207  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit withdrawal pending for over 16 hours on: September 15, 2023, 09:00:16 PM
in their TOS they say that people will be asked to do kyc level two in case they deposit 2000 euros or more than 2000 euros, if I'm not wrong, but also in the FAQ they are clear in saying that new accounts when depositing need of having to wager $10 before they can request a withdrawal, that is fair and any casino will ask people to play before making withdrawals. you cannot make a deposit and not play anything and then request a withdrawal, this is what leads to suspicion of money laundering, this is probably the reason they are asking you to do kyc. I suggest you put more details in this thread

What documents did you submit to the casino? You say that the withdrawal is pending for 16 hours, in this short period of time have you already submitted the documents to kyc and have they already reviewed and disapproved your documents? It's strange that so much happened in just a few hours. Also post all conversations you had with support and also photos of your account along with deposits, statistics and withdrawal history, this to serve as evidence so we can all understand what is really happening

here are my deposits and withdrawals

https://talkimg.com/image/6FaiP
https://talkimg.com/image/6Fduq
Clearly, you've triggered a suspicious activity when you've deposited and have not played on the platform which resulted to request for a KYC verification. From the looks of it, there's isn't any issue on the platform as they responded to all of your queries and the documents you've submitted. You just need to reach out to them for further assistance especially with the KYC verification as it was not approved even if those are documents are outside the restricted list of countries.
If ever more than 24 hours has passed and no update from the platform about your KYC and your withdrawal, try to reach out directly on Rollbit's ANN thread.
208  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Over 4 million accounts ng Gcash ay binlock. on: September 15, 2023, 02:27:00 PM

210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some of country can offer you legal gambling in 2023! on: September 14, 2023, 10:58:33 PM
I found out from google that gambling is legal in some number of countries and still banned in many countries.
UK
Ireland
Monaco
Germany
Spain
Belgium
the USA
Canada
Malta
Australia
What do you feel from this that gambling is less ethical?

First of all, it would be good if you include the source where you got this information, it will really appreciate the author and can also be empirical evidence for our discussion.
I've found the list here "Which Countries Can Offer You Legal Gambling in 2023", the same way how OP list it on this thread.

What do you feel from this that gambling is less ethical?

Gambling isn't a common thing, people who take part in this activity must be people who are fully educated (although from several incidents we still see that there are people who have been educated to become problem gamblers too), then I want to ask you, do you see developing countries from the list you attached? of course not. That's because the majority of them have not been educated apart from the role of religion which does not allow this activity.
I beg to differ, gambling is a common thing and alot of people gamble in other ways not only on casinos. It doesn't really matter if you're educated or not as long as you know the game your gambling on, you'll be able to gamble on it. There are even some instances where a person gamble on something they don't know and just rely on their gut feeling or luck.

As for how gambling feels less ethical when doing it, for me, it's mostly as how it relates to gambling addiction problem which is too common.
211  Local / Pamilihan / Re: buying monetized Youtube channel on: September 14, 2023, 07:32:02 PM

On the other hand, mukhang mahihirapan itong si OP mag hanap ng account through online transaction. I think mas madali pag meet up para mas plantsado yung transaction at mas secure yung bitcoin or pera mo against scammers.

212  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Over 4 million accounts ng Gcash ay binlock. on: September 14, 2023, 06:56:54 PM
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can money be saved in gambling sites? on: September 14, 2023, 03:05:44 PM
People probably already know that storing our assets in a casino or exchange is not recommended, there are many things that can make us lose these assets, the casino closes, our account is hacked or when the casino applies a fee for dormant accounts so it's better to save it in our personal wallet, but currently casinos also provide other ways for gamblers to earn income such as staking or investing, things like this that players may not be aware of can also give us the opportunity to lose, so apart from that, never put our money in a casino and if we want to following other features, we must understand the risks and only use money that you can afford to lose.

Some people might actually not know the risk of leaving there funds on gambling or trading platform as some think it safe using these platforms as a wallet especially with exchange sites. I personally experienced these on both platforms whereas account may get deactivated due to dormant status whereas you may not be able to retrieve funds as they've sent email notifications but luckily some platforms allowed me to withdraw these left funds. Also, multiple scenarios could put your funds at risk such as what you've said and scenarios like leaving certain altcoins on exchanges which they may removed on the future.
But yeah, to put it simply you put your funds at risk if funds are not on your own possession of wallet whether it'll be for a short time or long time.
214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Gambling Sites and Bug/Exploit Reporting and Rewards. on: September 13, 2023, 11:57:25 PM
Depends on the bugs, I don't think if the bug is critical they're going just to ignore it.

Most casinos will ignore a really minor bug. Unless your bug is a loophole in the customer data, accessing their fund, etc. If you think the bug is really affecting the service and they responding to what you have explained.

Another good things to do next, just exploited the bug and then contact them again. What you got, sometimes action is necessary as long you already report it and they ignore you.
Majority of bugs that are reported are usually are taken into account by most casinos whether it be a minor or a major bug however it varies depending on how these bug affects it's user and the casino on whether they proceed with an action.

I've seen minor bugs on different gambling platforms here that has been there ever since and a known bug but since it doesn't affect much the casino, no action has taken into account.

Still, there's just some gambling sites out that doesn't really care much until they get affected or multiple reports has been raised and publicized.
215  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake phishing on: September 13, 2023, 11:22:37 PM
Speaking about phishing then it is a long time known kind of scheme on which these hackers do really sweep out peoples balances if ever there's one if they had successfuly do able to breach or access a certain account.
Falling victim for phishing attacks can easily be avoided by enforcing 2fa as a second layer of security. If the website, where you have funds, have 2fa and the user have activated it and kept his recovery codes safe, then even if he opens a clone/phishing website and enters his credentials there, the attacker won't be able to access the original account and steal the funds.
Most services have this feature but, unfortunately, some customer aren't aware of how important it is.
Additional security such as 2FA are a good thing but attacks such as phishing should just entirely be avoided by just being diligent enough onto verifying links and it's sources before clicking on it.
OP might have lost more than just on the gambling platform if he uses the same password and email on other platform where OTP are not offered especially knowing that his credentials work on one website.

216  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake phishing on: September 13, 2023, 10:26:56 PM
It’s really suspicious, how did the scammer know that you have so much balance? Moreover how did he know that which email is associated with this account? And he just placed the bets, so that you can suffer? For me this is a pre planned story I guess. I am assuming you yourself lost the bets, and now trying to make stake team responsible for it, so that they can send you a refund. I am just assuming. I might be wrong. If necessary proofs is being presented, then yes I might believe what OP is trying to communicate.
There is no way to prove responsibility of the site (stake) as stake is not a part of hacking or placing any bet on behalf of the user of their site. Based on your first question I want to say that the team of stake may know details of the campaign.
There's certainly no way that Stake will be held responsible with this kind of issue as it's the player's fault to click on any link with verifying its sources (where the email came from). In regard to Nrcewker's question, it might not be the team of stake but rather other social media accounts of the OP which might exposed himself with his email and his gambling activity which caused him to be a target with this kind of scam. It's not really uncommon for someone to have multiple accounts with the same email address not only to one gambling platform or social media platforms.

Kapag kumita sila, sasabihin nila buti nalang nag invest sila at genius sila. Lol.
Isa ata eto sa pinaka common scenario na "been there, done that" situation dahil nangyari na rin ito sakin at sa ibang kakilala ko at hindi lang sa crypto space. Isa kasi ako sa mga natuto at nakaalam sa crypto sa batch namin way back college.
