41  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Warning] Scam Ledger Live App sa Microsoft Store on: November 09, 2023, 04:13:16 PM

Warning
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Casinos Sponsor Sites That Deals With Gambling Addiction on: November 09, 2023, 03:22:46 PM
Whether or not it is mandatory to sponsor it, I don't know if there are regulations that require it, but so far I have never heard that there are regulations that require it, but maybe in countries that legalize gambling it could be, but in my opinion it is just an initiative of the casino's concern to reduce gambling addiction, because it is very alarming if you look at the statistics of gambling addiction and it is also very sad if someone is addicted to gambling.

As for requiring it, I think it's just a concern of the gambling platform if indeed they want to sponsor it so that it can run well and can deal with the problem of gambling addiction.
I have never seen anything that requires a gambling platform or a casino to sponsor or fund gambling addiction but still there are some casino and online gambling platforms who do. They may sponsor or even provide seminars as how gambling addiction can affect a person but still it's really not that effective as these casinos only advertised them as a initiative to prove their gamblers that they care to attract more gambler.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: November 09, 2023, 02:22:10 PM
You need to consider several things that should be avoided before engaging in gambling activities, in my opinion.
* Never try to gamble large amounts, in one game, if you do so the risk of losing is greater.
* You need to consider that when you lose repeatedly when gambling, never repeat betting again that day, the risk of loss follows you.
I somehow disagree with these two reasons. As for the first one, if a gambler is a high roller, this should not apply and if someone is gambling within his budget with this large amount of money, then it shouldn't be any issue as long he know the risks of him gambling that amount. The same goes for the second reason, it's really common to encounter multiple consecutive loses but then again, if it's within your bankroll or budget then it's still not an issue continuing gambling but still never try to chase those loses and not go overboard with your budget.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: November 09, 2023, 12:05:13 AM
1. Gambling to earn money.
2. Promotions aren't always make the gamblers will earn money.
3. Gambling base on people predictions or gamble on a game that many people likes.
4. Gambling when high.
5. Don't take any emotion or under pressure while gambling.
Literally the reason why gambling exist is to earn money if not then it's just a game. Rather it's needs to be interpreted that gambling isn't supposed to be a source of income . Also, there's nothing wrong gambling and basing most of it on other prediction as long as they're known to it and has some backing on their prediction which is most likely is. Lastly, what's wrong gambling on a game that many people likes?

Anyways, here's mine: (1) Never gamble what you cannot afford to lose; (2) Avoid chasing loses; (3) Never use gambling as a source of income unless you're a professional but still no; (4) Never gamble if you don't have full control; (5) Never make a decision based of favoritism without sufficient information backing it but again no (applies on sportbets); (6) Never prioritize gambling on your funds.
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Believe That Reading People's Bad Experience Will Help You on: November 08, 2023, 11:25:41 PM
Definitely, there are some things that it's best know without you experiencing it first hand, not only in gambling but to almost everything. That's also why people share our thoughts and experiences to others to make them aware of what may or will happen when they do this and that. In terms, to gambling people share their strategy and experiences to help people maximize profit and avoid poor judgement to their gambling decisions and also gambling addiction. It will shows us gamblers what will happen if someone loses control and go overboard with their gambling habits to help us avoid it without them experiencing it. But still, there are some people who might not be affected by these until they experienced it themselves.

47  Local / Pilipinas / Re: When do you think is the next bull run will start, and why? on: November 08, 2023, 10:32:22 PM
So good luck to all.
Kadalasan ito ng yayari after several months after nung halving. PERO, tulad ng kasabihan na everything that goes up must come down, so may posibilidad parin na maka experience ng matinding pagbagsak si bitcoin after ng bullrun.
So for me, expected naman lahat on the economic side at magdedepende na lang talaga yung market if ever magkakaroon pa ng mas marami corporations, companies at institution na magsusupport sa bitcoin at crypto.
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice for new comers on: November 08, 2023, 05:09:19 PM
What advice do you have for newcomers diving into the world of crypto gambling? Any lessons you learned the hard way that you'd like to share?
Never ever chase loses whether it's high or not and don't gamble what you cannot afford to lose as it is more likely that you'll lose than win.

Apart from that, you can go ahead and gamble and enjoy it as much as possible. People may disagree that gambling is not a way to earn money but it is. You can earn from by risking your own funds but it is not suggestible to use gambling as a main way to earn money rather it's a way to multiple your funds with high risk.
49  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Mga Dapat Iwasan At Tandaan Kung Sasali Sa Mga Airdrop on: November 08, 2023, 03:32:44 PM
Karamihan kasi sa airdrop first come first served tapos yung mga hindi nakakuha inaasar namin.

50  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tataas Kaya Ang Awareness Ng MgaTao Sa Bitcoin Kung May Mga Billboard on: November 08, 2023, 02:45:46 PM
Hindi lang Bitcoin or Bitcoin logo ang nilagay nila but the whole "Crypto".

51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What conditions might cause you to stop gambling? on: November 08, 2023, 11:10:54 AM
I know that many people try to stop gambling or reduce the intensity of their gambling because of several factors such as running out of money, being scolded by their wife, being scolded by their parents, or piling up debts. Irresponsible gambling will make us have bad conditions. I don't hope we will experience something like that because after all gambling is fun and full of challenges

But let's imagine, what kind of conditions might make you stop gambling?
I can only think of three conditions as to why a gambler would stop gambling. The first condition would be the amount of losses, if someone who's lost a lot will tend to either stop gambling or try to find ways to fund their gambling activities which it could get them in a much worse situation where they could get into a spiral of debt. The second condition would be winning such a significant amount which could be life-changing such as winning a jackpot on a lotto, since they've already won such an amount it may lead them to halt their gambling activities and continue with other things as they already have the money to do so. The last condition would be having no time or being busy with other things that they permanently remove gambling as a part of their daily activity such as focusing on work, business or even with their physical or mental health.

But still, even with these three conditions which are losses, winnings, and time management, it will still vary depending on the gambler themselves as if they don't intend to stop gambling, nothing really can stop them.
52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: November 08, 2023, 10:34:36 AM
If those who have won, especially those who have won a lot, still want to win more, they have to be prepared for loss, which can come at any time because if they decide to continue playing even though they have already won, they could experience loss. This has been experienced by many gamblers who are getting greedy with previous winnings and think that while they are still winning and getting more money, they can gamble longer than usual, which means they have a chance to win again. But that's not what happens because most gamblers who have won have to endure losses little by little until, finally, they lose all their winnings. And if that's the case, they can only regret it, but unfortunately, it's too late because they don't have any more money.
This is actually very difficult to do, because no one knows where the moment is when you can walk away with winnings at your peak. You could even call it a mind trap. If after this the loss begins, then it is like a spiral that accelerates more and more each time, dragging us in. In practice, a player usually ends up betting forever or for a long time when he has lost quite a lot. I have almost never heard of those who won a lot and left. Those who are between these two categories also continue to play until they reach one of these states. Most of it is due to greed and regret. When I bet, I always remember this.
That's the catch about it, without proper planning you won't be able to determine when to stop that's also the reason why some people set an amount of winnings where they can just stop anytime, they hit it, the same goes when you're trading. It's easier said than done though, as we can't really know when our feelings and excitement catch on with the winnings as you'll feel extremely lucky during these situations. For me, the best option to avoid or minimize losses is that when you've won a significant amount of money and want to continue gambling is that you risk some of your winnings and keep some of it along with your bankroll so that if you've encountered a lose streak, which is likely to happen, then you'll still be on the positive as you did not lost your bankroll and some of your winnings.
53  Local / Pilipinas / Re: When do you think is the next bull run will start, and why? on: November 05, 2023, 11:26:45 PM
J
Hindi, pero as I also observed, the next following year nangyayari ang bull run after ng halving. Hindi siya automatically nag tatake effect dahil it will take a lot of time/transactions. Pwedeng after few months or years, no exact date o ilang buwan/taon.

54  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tarot cards gamit pang predict ng market? on: November 05, 2023, 10:06:04 PM
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: November 05, 2023, 08:00:10 PM
Winning in gambling can encourage many gamblers to gamble more, I can't forget my first winning soccer bet, this made me think that I had arrived, I placed several bets from the money I had to the extent that it nearly finished the money that I won, but you know what, all the bet I placed was unsuccessful because of greed, this is not a good to recall, losing bet does the same too, when you continue losing without a win, you will want to do everything possible to win because of the money you have lost so far, you will always think that the more you play, the more stand the chances of winning, this gambling of a thing has something extraordinary attached, once you are roped in, it take discipline and grace if God to stop, because the addiction accompanied with it is much.
It actually varies depending on the gamblers decision whether they'll continue or not after winning a significant amount of money. Personally, I usually continue gambling after I win as it makes me feel lucky however I make sure not to overdo it and make sure to still have my winnings at the end of the day. Most of time, I tend to place safer bets after winning to atleast earn more from what I've originally won and make sure to just gamble my winnings keep my original bankroll if ever things go south(which mostly happens).
But still, it can vary on how the gambler interpret their winnings as some just end their gambling session right after winnings or even just doubling their original bankroll.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the best advice or should I just let him on: November 05, 2023, 06:26:08 PM
I'd like to ask the community I have a newly moved neighbor he is a widowed senior citizen and he lives alone with a house helper, all his children are now professionals and he is a pensioner, we talked a lot about many things  I just noticed that he is very active on online casinos and other gambling activities like lotto and cock fighting every weekend, his children do not know his activities and I'm afraid he is getting addicted.

Should I give him advice on how to manage his gambling activities or I just let him since he is just enjoying his senior years and doing things that he missed doing when he was still young? and what's the right approach, we all know senior citizens are sensitive to criticism.
Based from your story, I guess we're from the same country and I do hope that you don't try to approach them advising them to stop with their cockfighting and gambling leisures for your own safety  Grin

Just like you've mentioned, senior citizens are sensitive being told to especially when it comes to their leisures whether it's for drinking or gambling even with their family members. One way that I've found to openly discuss this without offending them is having a discussion outside their gambling leisures and try to direct the conversation to it and try to approach with your opinion on it. But still, I don't really recommend that you advise them anything as it is much better coming from their family members instead.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: November 05, 2023, 05:35:26 PM
He just wants to forget the hurt and his gambling session fulfills that, we all know that dopamine is associated with gambling, and by playing, he forgets his wife, and the hurt is replaced by the excitement of playing, it is a replacement and unfortunately, it's a bad replacement that will lead to addiction.
When you are hurt, sad, and depressed, you barely care about the positive or negative consequences of something that you are doing as long as it helps you heal your depression for at least some time, whether it's gambling, smoking, drinking, or whatever else that you start doing when you are lonely and depressed. It's only later that you might realize that you've got yourself into another problem by trying to get out of one problem and there was nothing you could do about that.

So, we can't blame a depressed person for getting addicted to gambling or anything else that might be harmful to them in the long run because they surely have started doing that thing so that they can escape the loneliness and depression that have taken their mind with a storm and made everything dark.
Depression can really make us do bad decision whether the outcome is good or bad as long as it will help us numb the feeling of loneliness and sadness. On this scenario, we may easily get hook into gaming, drinking, gambling or even drugs in the worst case scenario to removed that feeling of hurt from us. However, even with depression or especially when we're depressed, we must avoid these things that'll hurt us more and try to find other things to better our situation such as focusing on our job, finding side hustle, or even going to the gym which is the most common thing that people do after a break up.
58  Economy / Gambling / Re: QuitGamble.com - Free Help for Problem Gamblers on: November 05, 2023, 04:20:21 PM
I guess this is a new approach that @OP is trying to develop. Instead of testing his level of addiction, we will be asked to test his level of happiness. And I tried the test to see what my level of happiness was.

But unfortunately, we have to register first to see the results. Maybe later, I will decide to register. But I think I can still handle gambling well so I'm not a serious gambling addict.

Thanks for sharing it with us @OP. Hopefully, your site can help people reduce their gambling addiction. They can use your site well and it can provide benefits for them.
I also did the happiness test and actually you can receive the results without registering on the website as it will be sent to your email. I received mine a few minutes after submitting my entry and it came back positive.

It's a great platform. I haven't fully check everything but upon visiting the website, it's user friendly and with just few reading, you'll be inspire to quit gambling with the quotes they have. I'm not really into book reading and watching videos and if I was still addicted to gambling, those may have not help me (doesn't mean it won't help others) but having short quotes, and a community to speak with will help a lot for those gamblers who wanted to quit. The only thing I'm searching was if there's any audibles that we can listen to which would be a great addition to the platform.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have your own casino. on: November 05, 2023, 02:46:31 PM
Back in 2018-19, I guess many of us have dreamt of owning a casino. At that time this casino business was at boom and many new casinos were continuously being launched. Many casinos also offered to invest in their bankroll and get a share from the profits. But owning a casino and organising it was really a tough task. Many didn’t know how to build a casino where in some casinos the bankroll wasn’t sufficient. So yes for these reasons many people along with me, stopped this idea of creating our own casino. Reading this post, made me feel nostalgic.
Agree, I remember back in around 2017, one of the well known bitcointalk member from our local community runs a casino and offered on our local board a chance for the community to invest and create a casino funded by our local members. As nice as it is, unfortunately, it did not happen as there's only a number of members have enough funds to invest on it. It was quite exhilarating at the time as it great idea and it will be funded by bitcointalk local members. If only it did happen, I wonder if that happened how will that gambling platform be performing now.
60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Out of curiosity, how much you wagered recently? on: November 04, 2023, 09:08:22 PM
Billions worth of wagered amount, that's quite a number and the the highest I've seen are from around 100-200million worth of bitcoin wagered from one of the high rollers. I wonder if how much of it are from sponsorship from the platform itself as most streamers are paid by these platforms.

Anyways, my personal total wagered amount is around 50-100 thousand only and that's for my whole gambling activity on one gambling platform I mostly play on.
