the ghash.io thing is scary, I can understand the paniccy pussies selling to an extent. But I have trust in the community to fix it. P2pool seems a good way. Once it offers low enough variance, people will flock to it. Kudos to the miners already switching. They are real men!
Seems like it is being fixed. I saw that ghash.io is down to 42%. Apparently someone is working on it. Bitfury moved some over to Discus Fish. But that's still just a temp-fix. |

Why is still going down?
Because people are extremely scared. As soon as the price goes up someone will dump on it, Chinese FUD will be posted, a pool reaches 51% etc. There are people working non stop on trying to take the value of Bitcoin down and right now they control the market. Any hint of bad news atm and the sheep completely panic. A lot of the selling currently is because of "i better sell now before someone else sells". As always the idiots create their own problem. Of course this will change again but when...nobody knows. There are people saying about price under 300 in few days, im afraid but im not going to sell. Im like the captain of a ship, if it goes down i will go down with it. I'm also afraid to sell at this point. I sold at 660ish and bought at 620. But now it went lower. Although, I'm sure we'll be back on track after the Silkroad auction. |

It isn't, but you can't control mass hysteria (stupidity). It's like the malleability issue, everyone was completely hysteric about it when MtGox reported about it. Transaction malleability is still there but now you hear nobody about it (and it still isn't a big deal), this is just how mass psychology works. In a month from now Ghash will be back to 35-40% and everyone will be happy again, even though there is really no significant difference between a pool owning 51% of the hashrate or 30%. This is true, ghash would likely never attempt a 51% attack. The good news is that it does not matter as bitfury is moving several PH/s of capacity out of ghash Again, it's not the question of would Ghash do it or not... The point is, it's possible and people can get greedy. Plus, agencies and governments. |

You silly bears! It's an upward trend. That remains to be seen. If during the next month the price breaks 700$, then it's an uptrend. If it breaks 450$, then it's a downtrend. Patience, it will resolve one way or the other. Either way it's good. Now we need fhe the Wall Street mentality. |

I don"t think there is a python based coin. It seems that almost every coin code are based on bitcoin (or fork from bitcoin), and imo, the bitcoin code is pretty dirty and hard to read You are right, there doesn't seem to be a Python code. Most of the stuff is C/C++ Darkcoin is Java I believe. |

We should rather focus on the next 'paypal' that is solely based on bitcoin.... RATHER than get them to implement it with fiat..

It might not drop below 400$ but will be in the range of 450-600. News of the doj selling the silkroad coins is what has caused the drop but this is good news for the ones who will buy them, so by July the price might hit 700$
Not good news for us others - who won't buy them. If they buy low and we bounce back, they have the opportunity to dump. |
