TL;DR dude sells coins because of some FUD he believed in. Peter Todd is a Bitcoin core developer. FUD = Facts U Dislike. Oh, so he is not "some dude". Makes more sense now. I also think that GHash.IO situation is very bad for btc prospects. Yes he his just some dude, a young headstrong kid who just happens to be a core bitcoin developer. So what? There are a lot of bitcoin developers out there. He has his opinions just like everyone else, but his opinions are just that... his. Personally I'll take Gavin's opinions on the matter over Peter's any day. Why? Both Gavin and Peter are core devs. They are equally important for us and for Bitcoin.

So many shills joining this program recently.. Stunna: check the users who joined at the same time above..
It doesn't really matter. Exactly. (If we have the same thing in mind). If it's one person, then he can't post on two accounts at the same time. It's the same amount of money to pay either way.

I don't think someone would dump these coins on the market. Why buy them in the first place?
Simple… at auction they will go for near market value.. they will be dumped quickly to turn a quick profit .. do you think they are not getting a discount on this purchase ? The thing I find fishy is how BTC looks to have been manipulated upward prior to the auction .. Say what you will, but something don't look good for BTC … As much as I hate to say it . Nope, I think the coins will be sold above the market price. After all, it's a piece of history. Nevertheless, you're right - they could be dumped anytime they would make a profit. Be it a week later or a month later.

Njima to ide u korist. A znas kako je lako primit novce za sve i svasta pravit.

http://www.usmarshals.gov/assets/2014/bitcoins/This auction is for 9 blocks of 3,000 bitcoins (“Series A Blocks”) and 1 block of 2,656.51306529 bitcoins (“Series B Block”).
they would of gotten a better price if they had small blocks everyone could bid on. oh well. Whales need coins. Anyone planning some group buys? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=650229.0

I guess it will be a private sale. That is actually REASSURING to me regarding the price because it means they won't just be all dumped at once at an exchange. But I do think the bigger investors will look at the price and try to extrapolate it to the exchanges. In other words if the auction goes for way less than $600/btc then the exchange price will drop.
I'm sure it won't go below the market price. If anything, it will go above. That said, the coins won't be dumped unless there's some profit to it.

You'd need a Chinese bank account for Chinese exchanges. I haven't used Bitfinex, but it seems good. Nice volume and orders get filled.

Now Bitcoin isn't trustless anymore. That's unfortunate.
Yeah true, so much true now sodl and gtfo, go play with wow gold. You are agressive, your life must sucks, I am sorry for you, I hope you will do better in the future. Oh I'm sorry did I scared you, I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you, I'm not aggressive in nature, sorry again. So this is your 1st 51% incident is that true? That's not because it's not the first time that it's not very serious. Peter Todd is worry too: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/281ftd/why_i_just_sold_50_of_my_bitcoins_ghashio/Bitcoin cannot grow worldwide if its faith depend on the hypothetical good behavior of some human beings, the stakes are too high to afford to trust somebody. So as I understand it from what you write the smart thing to do is to sodl nau and gtfo is that right? The smart thing to do is to admit there is a problem and search for a solution. You don't think my solution is plausible? That's not qualify as a solution in my book. So... much ado about nothing... Solution is to run away from ghash.io and not be to greedy for couple of extra bucks from theirs no fee and merged mining. A solution that involved the need for human beings to not be greedy is not a viable and realistic solution. Ah yes u are right stupid me . People cant not be greedy LOL . Damn this conversation should be in a philosophy text somewhere. I'm not sure the Socratic style is still appealing nowadays. Such quoting. quoting such quotes Yo dawg I heard you like quotes so I put a quote in your quote so you can quote while you quote.

They are working on option that will enable you to redirect their hardware out of their pool. So basicly you rent their hardware but you mine at pool of your choice.
This will be ready soon? The plan sounds like a real, lasting, "peaceful" solution. They could redirect anytime they want.

this auction is a great entry point for large buyers without moving the market. try buying volume like this on an exchange without sending us to the moon.
I think the auction will end above market price but no where near where market price would be if that volume were bought on an exchange.
New poll time? DDoS GHash.IO? - Yes - No Ghash.io is back to 45%. Hope it's a temp fix. It's still too much.
Wonder how that came about. Time to visit some other corners of the board. No official statement yet. They probably turned off some of their units.

|
People definitely won't get cheap coins this way. It's an auction, they'll probably end up paying more than they would on Bitstamp or another exchange.
|
|
|
We should see CEX.IO's statement and see what they are going to do. Depending on how that unravels, it wouldn't be a bad idea to DDoS.

Yes this is basicly most legal way in US to buy BTC right now. Noone cant ask you anything after this. "Sir where did you get your BTC from?" "F fuckin BI"!
Don't forget they're gonna tax it for you And will probably be the most non-anonymous coins out there.
