8661  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: So seriously is anyone buying?... BTC for cash (that isn't a scammer) on: May 12, 2013, 11:59:46 PM
I'm curious on how the mailing the money would work, I know you said escrow would be involved but what would the order of process would the deal go through?
I'm guessing it's pretty risky? huh?
8662  Other / Meta / Re: Petition: BFL should no longer be allowed to advertise here on: May 12, 2013, 11:57:10 PM
Couldn't agree more, maybe add a poll? instead of everyone posting "+1", then comments could be for each persons input.
8663  Economy / Lending / Re: Loans and sent loans on: May 12, 2013, 11:53:30 PM
Then, I have documentation on Bennett, where he lives etc.
I also have many other details, that's why I have a little more trust in this guy.
I did do a background search on him and find a lot of talk about him asking for loans.

Sometimes you have to take risks, haha.

So we know where a lot of scammers live. That doesn't mean anything. LOL take risk LOL you have no idea what your doing do you LOL Your going to be poor real fast.

Clearly not, I will learn one day.

You can start with the link in my sig. Both the guys you loaned to were already listed as fitting the scammer profile.

This is on YOUR list btw.....

Examples of posts that fit the pattern that were successful

Andy B

Yeah, I have no problem with you (yet) haha, doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence that everyone said I made a big mistake.

We'll see.

Hopefully you won't disappoint me Smiley

It COULD still be on the hard drive depending if you backed up your files or didn't reinstall certain parts, did you?

Responded.
8666  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What if you had infinite food? on: May 12, 2013, 11:09:08 PM
I would pig out.
I would eat a lot, then a bit more, then a little more, and then, you get the point.
8667  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Bitcoin have what it takes to become a trillion dollar industry? on: May 12, 2013, 08:23:21 PM
My guess is as good as anyone's, I hope it does, that would be nice.

Guess, we'll have to wait and see.
8668  Economy / Speculation / Re: when will bitcoin make a full cycle in the economy? on: May 12, 2013, 08:01:50 PM
I have suggested paying my employees bonuses in Bitcoin to them.  So far, none of them are lighting me up to do this.  So far, the big question is, what if they lose value after I get them.  I think once the volatility calms it self down, employees would be more willing to accept it as compensation.  Especially if it had tax advantages over traditional pay.   But yes, people in other countries that already deals with unstable currency will most likely be the early adopters here.

Then you are the best boss in the world, if my boss offered me a bonus in bitcoins I would work extra hard, lol.

Hey, I would work solely on bitcoins.
8669  Other / Meta / Re: Request for new Child Board of Off-Topic on: May 12, 2013, 08:00:55 PM
I, like many others, am sick of all the 'Reputation Threads' flooding the Off-Topic board. It floods the stuff that people actually read there. This is why I propose we make a new Child Board of off topic or find another way to clear up the clutter of the Off Topic Board.  Reputation threads sometimes are useful, but sometimes make you suspicious of the person making them.  Why stress that you are so trust worthy, and make a whole topic about it?  Either this or we find another way to solve this issue.

Another idea I had was each user would have a topic, only listed on their profile for the use of a reputation thread.

Please answer the poll above, and post any Ideas (or just a +1) below!

Best regards,
HeroC

A subboard of "Off-topic" does not make sense. "Off-topic" is, by definition, anything that does not fit anywhere else.

Exactly this.
Off topic is pretty much anything, meaning reputation threads can go there, I know they clutter up off topic, but I still think it's not needed.
8670  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why Ripple™ is against everything Bitcoin on: May 12, 2013, 07:58:08 PM
I know TradeFortress a bit from experiences on the forums and he seems to me to be a smart and agreeable guy. I'm shocked by his actions. But could posting a silly blurb allover the place really hurt Ripple? It would just result in more publicity, which would probably end up being good for Ripple. I think the vision for Ripplescam.org could be an attempt at eventually making money by piggybacking off of Ripple's success, rather than a true attack on Ripple. Nothing about it is convincing to me.

I see it completely the opposite.

Ripple is trying to piggyback off Bitcoin's success.

That's why we see them all over this forum.

Literally all over the forum.

I'm always seeing people getting scammed with trading between both of the currencies.
But, the link that tradefortress is advertising, actually has some good valid points.
A lot of people don't like to be told wrong, most users who disagree with this s because they have been using ripple and have 'a lot' of ripples, everyone wants success if they have a decent amount.
Then they completely ignore some of the statements in that post and have no valid argument to back up their opinion.
Of course, everyone is entitled to there own opinion.
8671  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why Ripple™ is against everything Bitcoin on: May 12, 2013, 07:52:12 PM
Ripple doesn't persuade me one bit, it's certainly against bitcoin, but hey!
It's nice to have some competition, may the better currency win *cough* bitcoin.
8672  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: My girlfriends house in Germany on: May 12, 2013, 07:26:20 PM
Well I was thinking about the idea of eBay UK, but am wondering how many people here that do NOT have an eBay account whose bids I would loose.

You could also start it here with pre-announcement on as many realty-related websites as you can get. Then the proper buyers will find it.

Just put a link to the ebay listing, and then people can see the current price it is at, then they can bid directly here with BTC.
Just state on your ebay listing, 'or best offer'.
8673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin address to final balance on: May 12, 2013, 07:24:12 PM
That's strange.

I used my 'current' wallet which has a little bit of BTC left in it, but when I copied and pasted into your website, it returned with 0 USD.

Any idea what's going on?
8674  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Story Game on: May 12, 2013, 07:07:46 PM
Once upon a time, there was a Jesus. She walked out unadorned. Then, as bagpipes blared and didgeridoos fell, the star exploded.

Enter the vassals, creating comically obscene gestures with cryptocurrencies. Jesus cried!

If you love Bitcoin, and love to read about Bitcoin, then it's easy to get.

If you have no clue about Bitcoin and want to learn, and you read a lot and ask questions, then it's easy.

If you're not fussed on Bitcoin or see it as a 'quick rich scheme' then it WILL take all the patience you got.
8676  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you think bitcoin will be in about 8 years? on: May 12, 2013, 06:38:50 PM
Where do I think bitcoin will be in 8 years time? 8 years is a odd number.

Hmm, I think by then most of the companies which we see today not accepting bitcoin will be accepting it.

If we do make it 8 long years, then I think the bitcoin value will have shot up.

8679  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Bitmit.net Trustworthy? on: May 12, 2013, 06:16:33 PM
If In doubt, pull out.

Honestly, it's raised so many red flags so far, but please don't let this put you off trading via bitmi.net, normally bitmit is fine (you just get idiots now and again).
Even though I have never had a bad transaction, I have done over 80 deals.
8680  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - Bitcoin shopping mall - Bitcoin market place - Bitcoin auction house on: May 12, 2013, 03:19:45 PM
After being on this site for a very long time, I would reccommend this site to anyone who want's to sell their products/services for bitcoins.

It's very secure with the sites escrow service, have yet to have a problem with any transaction.

9/10.
