I'm sick of the dishonest lying, cheating...
Said a convicted felon who has been sentenced to a federal prison. i am not taking a side here but imho a federal prison sentence does not say anything about a persons reputation.

imho bullish.

No it will be exactly opposite. People buy BTC now to have that BCC and sell it for more BCC as it is super cheap. It's an opportunity to get rich real fast. BCC is the only elegant solution. Nobody with deep understanding would support BTC and their bankster bought developers.
u pushing bcc is really telling. if it is guys like kwuck wanting it, it must be indeed bad.

I'm also bumping this to call Loaded the lying scumbag that he is. I contacted him multiple times, provided him with all of my personal contact details including personal cell phone number so we could move ahead, and he never contacted me, and never even logged into the forum again. I'm sick of the dishonest lying, cheating, and censorship tactics being employed by some (not all) of the Blockstream supporters. It is disgusting, and you should be ashamed of yourselves. (Especially Theymos)
i don´t get the part where theymos gets bashed because loaded did not contact you. are they one person?

Hey there. New to the BitcoinTalk forums, happy to be here I'm a student in the UK. I get a few hundred in cash (£250ish) for christmas + birthday money every year and was thinking about investing in Bitcoin. Would you say it is worth investing as a student, especially now with the market rising around BIP91? If so, how much would you recommend? And how much profit would I be able to make within half a year or so? when you start day trading bitcoin you are competing with: experienced whales, guys with insider knowledge and deep pockets, and many more. it is like gambling, you may win, you may lose. when you buy bitcoin and just hodl and wait for some years, chances are that you make some very nice profits. when you start investing in altcoins you are gambling with your possible bitcoin investment. no alt coin has any practical use that comes even close to bitcoin. all altcoins are purely gambling, bitcoin is the only one that has real-life use and therefore it has value. the forums are full with people that have somehow lost their bitcoin stash due to bad day trading decisions, bad investment into altcoins, panic selling when bitcoin moves down, etc. etc. on the other hand you will find almost no threads where people started day trading bitcoin and altcoins and were able to build up a decent stash this way. good luck and welcome to the exiting world of bitcoin.

Nope. Siehe: http://www.nytimes.com/1995/01/15/business/wall-street-playing-games-with-names.html"People take names of high visibility in the hope it will mislead or rub off or infer something that's not really so," said Stanford Z. Rothschild, a Baltimore investment manager among the group of American Rothschilds who are all unrelated to the well known European banking family. Since 1981, four firms, all out of business now, used the misspelled name, Rothchild, in their title, according to records of the National Association of Securities Dealers. Was nope?

it got locked because of altcoin shit. man, those alts. first they take away the minds of so many blind followers and get-rich-quick suckers, then they take away bitcoin "market dominance" and NOW THEY TAKE MY BELOVED WALL OBSERVER THREAD???!?! I only know one thing that those alts will never take: my btc. ( how ironic that one of the last posts of this thread is me posting about eth. )

Was denkt ihr, wo eure Verluste hingehen?

i was scared when i saw the btc price going down today. then i checked this: https://www.coingecko.com/de all crypto is going down. this turbulence will drag btc with it, but only due to some weak hands panicking. so nothing to worry. bitcoin will keep rising.

I just think people who continue to use "Hodl" are idiots.
Nothing wrong with long term holding. The problem I have is when they are willing to hold it back to zero just because *insert Bitcoin maximalist reasoning here*.
hm. i have seen smarter posts you wrote. how many times you wrote bitcoin will go down massive, but instead bitcoin price has risen massive? and put that in contrast to how many times it was clever to listen to you since bitcoin actually went down to zero? I rather be a (rich?) bitcoin maximalist hodler, than a (smart?) bear like you harping the old "bitcoin goes to zero" tune. finally, maybe bitcoin did never go back to zero exactly because "idiotic" maximalist hodlers?

Ugh so i got a new account, lost my old one years ago. Been out of the bitcoin world for a few years as I had to sell my stash about 1.5 years ago as I needed the money, knew I would regret it but thats life. Anyway Im back now and have a small stash of about £300 in various altcoins. My aim is to get back a nice BTC stash.
Just wondering if there is any point in trying to daytrade (not that I ever have, need to learn) with this small amount or am I better to wait until I have thousands in FIAT/coins?
Any feedback would be much welcome
thank you. now I understand who is buying the alts and why. it is not only new guys. it is guys who want to recover their bitcoin stash they once had. if one´s resources are limited (who´s aren´t?!) your approach makes perfect sense. buy some alts and hope there is a winner. isn´t it ironic that bitcoin experiences heat from altcoins ("loosing" it´s "dominance") because of people trying to get more... bitcoins? it is always the same: bitcoins biggest problem arise from its success. good luck and welcome back.
