1521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: May 15, 2019, 06:41:17 PM
Yeah, not only us but I am sure that its an eye candy contest for cricket lovers around the world.

Match with Pakistan looks easy if we consider India's previous record against Pak in World cup or any ICC tournament. But record could be broken anytime, Pakistan desperately wants to score their first ever Victory against India in World cup.
Pakistan tried five times in world cups and they never achieved that till now with a much stronger team in the past and if they could not fulfill that i am sure they will not defeat India in this world cup too if they face each other, India has the potential to win the world cup with the strong batting line up they have and i think they have the best bowling line up in a long time with Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami leading the pace attack and world class spinners.
1522  Local / India / Re: Taxability of Bitcoin: A deeper look on: May 15, 2019, 04:40:41 PM
In such a scenario I can only see following ways out:
1. I should file my income as Capital Gains where I can mark Cost of Acquisition to be NIL and file either STCG or LTCG on whole amount which has been credited to my account in previous year from buyers.
2. Carry on with my existing practice of showing credits as receipts and pay tax under PGBP. However, in this case I won't be able to provide any bill if I received Notice from Income Tax Department.

Are you facing the similar situation? If yes, then what have you decided. If no, then too share your views. Let's have a quality discussion as it is serious matter for Crypto Earners in India.
Filing under capital gains is the option if you are making enough money with bitcoin, but the real problem is with the current government, you really cannot trust how they will deal with the platform since there is no clarity on whether they will legalize it or not, what if they go after everyone who traded bitcoin once you report it as capital gains and then there will be a huge issue to deal with the legal issues. I am not that good in this field and hence i posed this doubt. Will the government has the ability to come after bitcoin investors at a later time if they ban it completely.
1523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India declines Bitcoin Legalization Again on: May 15, 2019, 03:33:16 PM
That is also what i've noticed in the system of India they are not fully open to those improvements that can change their country including bitcoin that can be revolutionary in their country. I am just wondering if they are just not thinking carefully or they are still not ready for cryptocurrency.
The government is to be blamed in this situation, if they really care about the investors and the businesses they have to make it legal and monitor the entire process, the reason the government will come up with declining the legalization is that bitcoin will be used for illegal purpose, they do not understand the real concept of bitcoin and so is the reason they are coming up with those silly verdicts, they neglect the fact that many criminals dealing with bitcoin were caught and there is no way anyone could bypass that.

Where Does Bitcoin owner lives? I wonder how people want to put funds into unknown banks.
You have a full member account and still not having a clue on what you are talking about, hope you understand what it means by a decentralized structure which means you do not need a central authority to control things, since you like centralization too much you might be happy with that structure, what is wrong in having full control of your money in your own hands rather than trusting a third person  Roll Eyes.
1525  Economy / Speculation / Re: Amount of scam icos will rise again to the whole new level imho on: May 15, 2019, 01:30:00 PM
Nope,ICOs are dead and they will never return to their 2017 fame.
However, the scammers are always sneaky and clever in finding other ways to create scammy "crowdfunding" crypto projects and HYIP pyramids. It has been  proven a long time ago that the stupid people will always lose their money in the end, with or without crypto scams and ICOs.
This is somewhat true, people who are planning to make money the easy way look for opportunities to invest and get returns in a short period of time and the scammers are always lurking for people like that, just forget the scam projects, the amount of shit projects that popped up and collected millions and never bothered to do anything about that after the funds were collected were huge and majority of them have closed their doors by now and there is no repercussion and the investors lost their money and still people are looking for new ways to lose their money is mind blowing.
1526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 14, 2019, 03:16:59 PM
Rose Namajunas was ready for this fight, The combination of punches and back out and all of that defensive stance she did in the fight was a technique for Andrade We can see that Namajunas studied Andrade for this fight, But Andrade had caught Namajunas and pushes her to the cage, Then after a while the slam was purposely was the last resort of Andrade to really win this
She could slam her because Andrade is really strong for the division and i am not sure how she is cutting the weight and there is no doubt that Namajunas is a good striker but the power difference is what i felt and predicted Andrade to win and the Brazilian crowds are a different breed than the rest of the countries, they are passionate about the national fighters and curse to death the opponents and if you are facing in Brazil for the first time, it is a big task in itself.

And against Cannonier and Silva, I am pretty sure about this because I am seeing Silva that he really needs to retire and needs rest because he doesn't have the quality back then in his prime, Well that is just my opinion, I can be wrong with it but that is what I am seeing.
It is time for Silva to retire, the level of competition in UFC is really high and he might not have the reflex and health condition to face top contenders, he might shine with other promotions if he is really looking for competition alone and not money.
1527  Local / India / Re: How Indian Govt. cheated the whole nation (NewsFlash) on: May 14, 2019, 02:44:23 PM
Many people supported demonetization but just before the cameras as if they don't support that, it would make them look guilty. In my place, all Gujaratis were supporting BJP and then when notes got banned, they gave up. They were the ones buying 500-1000 notes at 50% discount and Ebay was filled with orders. Now again I can see the same people supporting him and hence dissing cryptos. I am sure most of them would have converted their cash into cryptos but now most are left stranded as RBI has restricted it. Now things have become so bad that riots are taking place during elections and all this is because of both the parties.

Due to BJP offering subsidy and medicines at half price, people are supporting him but yeh sab moh maya hai.
This is the problem with the people, they just forget things that easily and so is the reason the political professionals are taking advantage of that loop hole  Cheesy, many people supported the demonetization in the initial stages just because they really had no idea how big of a mess this would turn out to be and the government has not taken any precaution to contain the situation, there was a mess up while printing the currencies and people had to wait in queues to get their money from banks and each and every single individual felt the hardship because of the amateurish decision and have you heard about the demonetization in the same vigor from the BJP government after that, they will not, because they very well know that it was a failed attempt and many had to close down their businesses because of that move and the loss was really huge.
1528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Just a Shady ‘Ponzi Scheme,’ Rants Goldbug Peter Schiff on: May 14, 2019, 12:45:50 PM
Either way, far more influential people like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett have spoken, and the market didn't listen. I feel like it's safe to conclude that FUD of that sort can't affect crypto anymore. It actually has a solid user base and a clear path ahead now.
When the market starts moving upward we will see more people coming out to bash the market and call it a bubble, they just wanted to be in the spot light all the time and hence they are doing so and if it was a few years back the movement would have stopped if there was any FUD news but not anymore, the market has grown to a point that these sort of silly rants wont pull the market down, if that was the case when the binance exchange got hacked, i expected the market to go down with the past experience but the market did not bother about that and kept on moving higher.
1529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India declines Bitcoin Legalization Again on: May 13, 2019, 11:58:50 PM
Not only for india also other countries from south asia like beside country of india already ban cryptocurrencies and no one can use bitcoin it's a punishable crime yet!  I think government is better understand and know over their countries economical way and government do can take any decision about their countries economical system.
There is no ban for crytocurrency in India, exchanges or companies dealing with virtual currencies cannot conduct regular business with the banking system as the RBI came up with a circular to stop dealing with those entities, Bangladesh have an outright ban and if you are dealing with virtual currencies you might end up in jail, there is no clear regulation in India regarding that and the government is not having the knowledge on how to deal with the new technology and that is the major issue in India.
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 13, 2019, 11:38:52 PM
The current IPL 2019 has concluded in a spectacular fashion and it was easily the most entertaining season among all seasons of IPL so far. MI truly deserved their 4th win and CSK basically threw the game away.

This season displayed which players are in form(MSD, Bumrah, Pandya etc) and which are out of form(Rohit, Virat, Vijay etc) who will be interesting to watch in the upcoming World Cup tournament.
It was a perfect final and i expect CSK under MSD will life the cup and then i witnessed a rare occurrence, the fastest runner between the wicket MSD got run out and then the feeling changed and when Malinga came for the last over after leaking so many runs, i thought CSK will win this one but then Malinga proved that why he is regarded as the best death bowlers in international cricket, it was a real thriller.
1531  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC to 50K, China banned miners on: May 13, 2019, 09:20:36 PM
35 days ago I started a thread and I told you btc will go 9k$ bcz china banned miners, but some of you dont believed me, Today BTC is 8100$ in some exchange,
Since you made the predictions a long time back, i would like to know how much money you made in the future trading market, since you had accurate data on how the market goes, you might have made a ton of money, i would like to see your earnings you made in the past few days simply because you could accurately predict the market Tongue.

Quote
Less miners = More Demand = increasing price, as simple as that.
How will you correlate this, you think that the extinct miners will purchase the coins since they are not able to mine it, even if there is only one miner, the amount of bitcoin released for each block confirmation is the same and there is no inflation or deflation on that aspect, if there is more demand then the price will increase but what correlation does it have when it comes to miners, if you have a certain answer i would like to know  Wink.
1532  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Miners from India on: May 13, 2019, 10:12:28 AM
I am interested to learn the process practically. Otherwise, it's almost impossible to acquire knowledge on it. I might consider mining altcoin later, but the only purpose is to learn it.
What's the minimum cost I have to spend?
If you are considering altcoin mining, the cost of hardware depends on what graphic card you are planning to purchase.
AMD RX570/580 (The price might come around 15000 INR per card)
Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB (The price might come around 23000 INR per card)
AMD Radeon RX 460 (The price might come around 9000 INR per card)

You can built a rig with six to eight cards stacked together and you can built your own case or you can purchase that online and the cables and all the other connectors charges are extra. Hope you have an idea now.
1533  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Miners from India on: May 13, 2019, 05:49:10 AM
Anyone active here? I'm interested in learning mining bitcoin. I'm not sure where to start my study for mining because I'm newbie in this industry. Is mining profitable in India?
Please guide me a little.
If your plan is to mine bitcoin in 2019 i would suggest you against it, if you are looking for profit, investing in bitcoin is the best option rather than investing money in mining hardware, even if you are able to spend a million for the hardware, the amount of heat that produces from these machines will be huge and you need to spend a lot of money to keep the temperature at bay, in short it is not a viable option but you can mine for fun.
If you really wanted to mine, then check out alt coins if you can get hold of cheap graphic cards, return of investment for the amount of money we spend and the maintenance will be a hurdle, consider all these before jumping into it.
If you are staying in a sub zero temperature and the electricity charges are cheap i will encourage you to mine. Smiley
1534  Economy / Economics / Re: Joseph Stiglitz: ‘We should shut down the cryptocurrencies’ on: May 13, 2019, 01:44:06 AM
Joseph Stiglitz, a Nobel-Prize winning economist, says cryptocurrencies should be shut down. He worries that they enable illicit activity by making money transactions less transparent.

Still, he sees the value in digital payments systems and supports electronic use of government-backed currencies like the dollar.
This is the major problem with all the economist who does not have a clue what they are talking about, he thinks that bitcoin can be shut down  Cheesy a global crack down on all the miners, blockchain is the most transparent thing you can ever get and still he think that it is the opposite, the only thing these prize winning economist can do is to stop giving advice to the things they cannot understand  Tongue.
1535  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the Next Bitcoin Bull Run Started? on: May 12, 2019, 08:12:46 PM
Bitcoin has 14 green weekly candles in the last 17 weeks.
Even after the Tether, Bitfinex fud and Binance hack the price continue to rise.
Is the Bitcoin bull run started?
What are the main leading factors of this bull run?
It is a positive sign that the market did not stall even after these negative news and these were not small occurances as the market could have went for a ride with the amount of negative news we had over the past few weeks, earlier the market used to react to even simple news and that reflected in the valuation. If you look at historical data i expect a small correction even though the market is pushing higher, it that does not happen, then it is well and good, even if the market goes down, if you can hold on to your coins rather than panicking, you will end up in a decent profit.
1536  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: May 12, 2019, 05:37:10 PM
Even if there is a government who protect our money, people nowadays will always find a way to scam those who lack of knowledge. If you ever handed a cryptocurrency you should always think your security of it first because you are now the government of your own investment. Stop defending the government because you already know what happens when you leave your money to them.
If there is a government overlooking the process and someone registered as a company the consequence of running a scam will put them behind bars for a long time, people might go to any lengths to scam others, but if they are planning to scam the users deliberately they will not register with any government in the first place. The only solution for all these is not never fall for any fancy returns and if you can do that, you will never get scammed.
1537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: May 12, 2019, 02:28:53 PM
^I just want CSK to keep calm and not give away any 4s or wides for free. Last time their fielding was terrible. Watching the match now gives me creeps.
The experience of Dhoni and the ability to read the match is legendary, even if they go for runs and Mumbai Indians go on to pose a total over 200 runs, it will be a close game but i am certain that Dhoni will find a way to win the match and the tournament, Dhoni is not getting the respect he deserves and i will not give any hope to the Indian team to win the world cup if Dhoni is not in the team, we have seen time and again Kohli is all about aggression and that cannot win matches all the time and Kohli bats really well but when he is defending a total and if there is no presence of Dhoni he always fail to win matches, you need to be strategical and if you look at team CSK apart from Dhoni it is filled with standard players and no superstars and yet they are winning the tournament all the time and hats off to Dhoni for his legendary captaincy.
1538  Local / India / Re: Best indian Peer to Peer or Fiat Exchange on: May 11, 2019, 09:10:18 AM
Yes "Gods own country" Wink, i will tell you this, it is not illegal to run crypto based business ..
Then you are misinformed. According to RBI rules no business is allowed to commercially exchange cryptos for Indian fiat. Ask the Unocoin guy. Or the Koinex team or even Zebpay.
How can you run a business with something that is not recognized as a form of payment? You can't pay taxes, the Tax dept would be out to get you and you'd be fucked.
So how do you think Wazirx is running their business, rules and regulations have interpretations and people will find a way that will not directly break the law, if the regulations says that dealing with virtual currencies is illegal and there will be consequences if you overcome that restrictions, then there is a major problem and you might even go to jail for dealing with virtual currencies. Unocoin, Koinex and Zebpay have registered their business with the Indian government and no one will dare to overcome those restrictions even with the interpretations as they might end up in trouble, look at Zebpay now they started their business again as they registered outside and that is the case with Wazirx, you cannot find any detailed information about them, i know they are running from India and they are not having any licence to run the platform in India, if these sort of restrictions are implemented we will see more exchanges popping up in the dark.

So the main thing the government has to understand is that, whether they need to have a grip on the situation by allowing registered companies running the platform and the government can monitor the activities or drive everyone underground as you really cannot restrict anyone dealing with virtual currencies.

@legendster, hopefully you understood the difference between illegal to use and restrictions to banks dealing with companies dealing with virtual currencies.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 11, 2019, 08:46:15 AM
@BRE. He is forced to be a warrior. Anderson Silva only wants to collect his paychecks from the UFC while his body can take it, I reckon hehehe. He has a family to feed and bills to pay hehe.
This might be the only reason he still fights, i wanted him to hang his gloves after that leg gave out during his fight against Chris Weidman and that was a horrible scene as i still remember i had to switch off my Tv after that breakage as it was too much for my eyes and i never expected him to return and i am sure he made a lot of money as he was ruling the division for a long time, but it was pre Conor McGregor era and post that the salary increased a lot and may be that is the reason he still competes.

Namajunas vs. Andrade, i'm favoured Namajunas but Andrade is good fighter too, i hope this match can be one of the best female match.
I am taking Andrade for her punching power and her ground skills and more over she is in her native Brazil and the fans are known to be brutal against foreign opponents and it will also have an impact.
1540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally $200 billion total Marketcap is achieved. on: May 11, 2019, 07:04:49 AM
I am happy today as finally the total Marketcap is now $200 billion, what can we expect from here?
The market is showing its strength and breaking many barriers on its way and you never know what will happen next, even with the negative news a few days back with the binance hack, there was a momentarily lapse in market movement but then it recovered in a few hours time and the rally continues and broke the resistance and kept on moving higher, even in the worst case scenario i expect the market to stabilize above $5800.
