1241  Economy / Economics / Re: What are the odds that the government/banks will truly create their own coin? on: October 24, 2019, 03:45:15 PM
The odds are quite high in the sense that they cannot dispute the use case of cryptocurrencies and the blockchain technology. However, since they cannot control the existing ones i bet they would create their own coin in order to have full control over it.
It is possible that the government and the banking industry will come up with their version of cryptocurrencies and their blockchain but how do you put a valuation, i think they can come up with a stable crypto other than that it will not be successful as no one in the right sense will think about using something that has a transaction fees with every transaction and we know what happened to Petro.
1242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every tiny piece of Bitcoin is worth it! on: October 24, 2019, 01:47:32 PM
Of course. Bitcoin is the most popular coin and worth it at all times. There is no doubt that it helps a lot of people and gives return of investment. Right now, it is still profitable compared to other coins. We just need to wait more for successful return.
You are not answering to the question posed by the creator of this thread Tongue , he is telling that every satoshi is valuable and he used to spread small amounts in different exchanges and never used to bother and now he is taking it seriously and you are talking about the popularity of bitcoin  Roll Eyes.
It is good to spend some time reading what it says and responding rather than filling the quota  Tongue.
1243  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen to banks? on: October 24, 2019, 08:54:39 AM
(I will reply on OP's title's question) If banks wouldn't improve by time that crypto currency are needed. then they will be dissapeared, but that thing would be happen? not for sure, because banks are in observation of popularity of crypto. they wont accept that they will left behind. they will improve as crypto bank and make their own strategy to avoid of disappearing.
The major misconception here is that nothing will replace the banks and we do not want crypto banks, people have to understand the difference between different markets rather than incorporating everything, banking is improving as everything is digital in the banking sector now a days and what more improvement do you expect from them. If the entire population shift their transaction to the crypto market then we might not need the banking sector altogether and that will not happen  Tongue.

1244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You own a decent amount of Bitcoin, How would you increase it on: October 24, 2019, 06:49:42 AM
I do not believe in all these so-called "Bitcoin Banks" but I did deposit some Bitcoin into Freebitco.in where you get daily interest on the money that are deposited onto their platform. <I think it is something like 4% yearly, but added every day based on your current balance>
May i know how much you have risked in freebitco.in, i know it is a trusted site since they are running for a very long time but i am not sure about their profit they earn annually and since you invested in it you might know the profit they are making.

The only reason why I did this was because I use the interest to buy lottery tickets and a little bit of gambling on the site and also because the site has been around for ages.  Wink
I logged in sometime back to see the gambling page, there was nothing much of a selection but a selected few events.

The Bitcoin would not have earned any interest if it was just laying dormant in cold storage and I would have had to use my own bitcoins to gamble.  Grin
There is no interest if you are keeping your coins in your cold storage but i have the complete ownership of my coins  Wink. I have seen some exchanges giving out interest but i do not trust them.
1245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: October 24, 2019, 06:14:34 AM
Well I did heard about Dhoni favouring his CSK players more than others but anyway I am not saying that who is the best but right now every captain till now we had have played an important role in achieving the ranks we enjoy today. IPL are full of controversies and who knows what was the actual thing behind. If one gets caught they drag others with themselves so its hard to picture the actual mastermind.
It is hard to understand what goes behind closed doors but as a captain Dhoni was the best and IPL is pure business but it produces some talents in the team, Ashwin started his career in the IPL and so does many others and then became world class players so the contribution of IPL cannot be rejected and many people are coming forward to take cricket as a career because of the opportunities available right now.
1246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 23, 2019, 05:42:58 PM
Well.. if I am not wrong, then Indian players (including the domestic players) are banned from taking part in the T20 leagues which are being run by the other boards. Only the retired players are eligible for such tournaments. If you remember, Yuvraj Singh retired from international and first class cricket, before signing up for the Global T20 tournament in Canada.
Restricting domestic players is too harsh as they will gain experience if they are playing in these tournaments so the BCCI wants to promote IPL and nothing else and if all the cricketing boards starts their own leagues and restrict them to play elsewhere we would see an IPL event with only Indian player .

There is not much room for the international cricketers, as only 3 are permitted in each team (as opposed to 10 for the IPL). May be they'll increase this number in the future.
Even in the IPL only four foreign players are allowed in the playing eleven. So there are restriction on how many foreign players you add to the team, these tournaments might help young talents and it might help groom the young talents.
1247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 23, 2019, 04:42:53 PM
Afghani spinners and Sandeep from Nepal are in demand as far as any Short-format leagues are concern. Good for individual players who get to sign Kolpak deals and reaping the benefits but SA's skipper raised concerned about these Kolpak deals recently.
I have a doubt here, i am seeing this Kolpak deal, what is that actually and regarding The Hundred, is it a parallel league like the Big Bash and the IPL. Why is there any Indian players being selected nor any other Asian team members in that team but Afghan players are selected.

EDIT:

100 ball cricket  Shocked yet another form of cricket being tested  Grin.
1248  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance is earning only $20,00 per day on transaction fees charge?? on: October 23, 2019, 11:37:05 AM
Yea... and just for context, 20k a day is a revenue of 7.3 million a year. That's nothing for any medium sized company much less for one of the largest crypto exchanges in the world.

You may not be happy that you aren't getting 1:1 trades, but i wouldn't exactly call this overcharging. If you can find a more trustworthy exchange with better exchange rates, then go there. If you find that hard to do, then they're not overcharging...
If you look at the reported volume per day they have a volume of $797,280,406 and the amount of fees they get with every trade per day is much higher than any other ventures in the market and on top of that they are charging a withdrawal fees for every individual of 0.0005BTC while the transaction fees is really low in bitcoin and majority of the exchanges are following these practices even now and no one is questioning these encourages them to continue that fees, personally i am not trading with Binance nor any centralized exchanges as all of my trading are done through P2P exchanges.
1249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 23, 2019, 10:41:42 AM
What an hour of complete dominance, 3 clubs won their matches scoring 5 goals in the game. What a wonderful comeback for Mbappe. I had three screens open in front and it was goals feast at its best!
Are you streaming the matches to open three screens, if so do share the link so that everyone could watch that, i was watching the Real Madrid match and then i switched over to Bayern Munich match as Real Madrid did not score a goal in the second half but the second half between Bayern Munich and Olympiacos was filled with goals and i was expecting Robert Lewandowski to score a hat trick.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst Day of My LIFE - Dice on: October 23, 2019, 10:11:56 AM
Borrowed $1600 from my friend. Apart from this placed gold as collateral and got $250. Altogether with hope of returning the borrowed amount and taking the gold back started to play dice after a long.
Good luck gambling with borrowed money, you proved that you cannot be trusted with money as you consider gambling as a way to increase your holding which is the most stupid thing in the world  Roll Eyes. Just go out and do a job to earn money and with gambling you will not go anywhere in life, you can gamble for fun and not to make money, if you are lucky you might win some money Tongue .
1251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin cross $50,000 by Dec 2020? on: October 23, 2019, 09:16:37 AM
Probably a lot of Bitcoin miners will quit as the rewards are becoming smaller after the halving. Thus, miners who quits will sell their Bitcoins as well. Judging how the market reacts to the first and second halving, It seems like It has a long term effect on Bitcoin price and It seems like it became a trend. Bullish market occurs every one year after the halving.
Lets say that miner will quit mining when the rewards go down after the halving but why would they sell their coins when they are not earning anymore coins, they invested in mining because they trusted bitcoin to give them the profit, so it does not make sense either and now coming back to the facts none of the miners will stop mining because of halving and historically there is no evidence to say so.
1252  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC TO 35K$ IN 2020 on: October 23, 2019, 08:30:15 AM
I'm not sure if you just guessed without giving clear information and will only exceed 30k in 2020.
Slow death clearly showed his prediction skills as the OP sold all his coins two years back when the price reached $8200 and he predicted that the price would go below $100, so he is joking around with all these predictions and hence do not take his predictions seriously and more over none of the prediction will go as they think even if they have all the calculations accurate.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 23, 2019, 06:04:42 AM
Distracted that's what I see in him after he became famous and offered a lot of endorsements. Take a look at Khabib, with his good record in MMA his training is still consistent and you will seldom see posts or articles about him partying, compared to Conor, most of the articles or photos you see about him is how he party nowadays and his endorsements. Not sure if he is secretly training to maintain his shape at the very least.
It is true that Khabib is a clean athlete as he never drinks or parties as he is following his religion to the dot and many athlete like to party because it is a hard sport and to make a living by hitting someone is difficult for me to comprehend and you will have a few drinks because after the fight the pain will be like hell and i respect Khabib in that aspect, Conor is doing what he likes best to party around making babies and punching old people and selling whiskey as he is not having any plans to fight longer Grin.
1254  Local / India / Re: Banking solution for Indian crypto users by Cashaa on: October 22, 2019, 08:32:02 PM
I see that Cashaa roadmap is showing that they are going to open an office in New Delhi. I wish them all the best! I would be very happy if they are able to bring some changes in the current crypto scenario of India. But I will personally still prefer p2p trading without going through a centralized exchange until crypto is fully legal in India!
I cannot understand how these companies can function in India and recently Bithumb was showing interest to start their business in India, no clue how they can do that when the Indian government literally buried all the Indian exchanges with the help of RBI and if they accept these foreign companies to function while they literally killed the business in India  Roll Eyes.
1255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 22, 2019, 05:53:41 PM
Virat Kohli is an exception, as he performs irrespective of the nature of the pitch and the strength of the opposition bowling attack. And the Indian batting record abroad would look pathetic, if you take out Kohli from the playing XI.
You might have forgotten Pujara in that mix, he scored centuries in England and Australia when India visited those countries and against Australia India won the match when Pujara scored the century and that too in two test matches, Kohli is a good performer and he is consistent than the rest of the players, the Indian top order was not at all performing for a while and in this series they changed the openers completely and saw some change when Rohit was sent to open the innings along with Mayank Agarwal.
1256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 22, 2019, 05:03:57 PM
If Conor McGregor is looking for a rematch against Khabib i can bet any amount that it will be the last fight for McGregor as he will be defeated easily once again and his stock will come down, he needs to fight somebody else before re-matching with Khabib, with a beating like he got the last time no one needs to see that fight again but for the McGregor fans i am sure they believe that McGregor could knock Khabib out cold, but it will not happen  Grin.
Khabib is dominating everyone but if McGregor could land a lucky punch flush in the face like Michael Johnson it will test his chin without a doubt, in the first fight Khabib was really careful in the first round not to fall for his bait and he was circling away from his strong hand but UFC likes to see that rematch because it will generate a huge amount of money and they could promote their animosity very well Cheesy.
1257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin cross $50,000 by Dec 2020? on: October 22, 2019, 04:19:25 PM
With so many good altcoins around, do you think Bitcoin can cross $50k by Dec 2020?
What are those good altcoins  Roll Eyes. I am searching for that answer for a long time and still i am yet to get a good result  Tongue. The price of bitcoin can reach those valuation in the future but to put a set date for the rally is hard, if i want the price to cross $50k by 2020 i would say no, i want to see a gradual rise in price rather than a huge rally in a short period and majority wants that rather than having a huge movement in both directions.
1258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: October 22, 2019, 03:03:50 PM
BTW now that Sarfaraz is sacked as captain, any ideas about his future? Will he be in team still?
He wont be selected in the team in the near future, Pakistan will be selecting a new team for their tour to Australia and they will be playing T20 and Test matches and there is no ODI scheduled for Pakistan this year and more over Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal are not selected for the tour as per the reports and there will be a complete change for the tour to Australia.

Sometimes, drastic decisions are required for the greater good of the team. So many people kept moaning and complaining that Pakistan need to make some drastic changes etc, but are now moaning again now that a big change happened.
Critics like to challenge and question every decision and that is what we are seeing here too  Cheesy.
1259  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC TO 35K$ IN 2020 on: October 22, 2019, 02:30:59 PM
Great if that's going to happen but honestly, I like to stay conservative with my prediction.
if we struggle to have a new ATH this year, we might have the same struggle next year, but if we can have a new ATH, things will be better and I am okay with $20K by the end of 2020 in return to a more stable price not like what we have experience in 2018.
With a couple of months to go i am not expecting any rapid market changes nor will we touch the all time high valuation this year, the market showed that push a couple of months back but it went down instead, i am expecting the market to grow at a gradual rate rather having a big spike in the next two months, expect the market to reach the all time high valuation when we are nearing the halving and not before that.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 22, 2019, 08:59:14 AM
You don't add Sir before his name for nothing. He is not a normal player. He has delivered everytime when India needed him. He is one of the finest all rounder India has.
Jadeja is an exceptional talent as he delivers with the ball and bat and he is the finest fielders in the world and he is a complete package.

BTW interesting to see Smith's stats. The flop show of Australian top order dropped some duties on Smith's shoulder and he boy-o-boy he delivered it so well and helped to retain the Ashes.
Smith's performance won the Ashes for Australia and the only match he was rested because of that bouncer Australia lost the match, there was an incredible performance from England but they lost the match in the absence of Smith.

Bangladesh tour is next month if i am not wrong and by that time i expect Bumrah to regain his fitness, tough battles ahead for any visitors.
