But since we are on this topic, the payment was done in INR or converted to USD/EUR and then done? In which case there should be conversion charges as well? Boooo for KYC Tongue
Yes i purchased USD and there will be conversion charges also and that is deducted from the bank directly, Yes every purchase you make you need to perform the KYC if you are logging in from different IP, which means if you are travelling. When we have P2P methods it is the best option, i made this purchase for a friend.

that was my main question. So it will say Binance, i wonder if our govt can pick what it means from that word alone.
Even if they pick that name there is nothing the government can do as the purchase made through that transaction is US dollars and there is no law restricting any user to purchase dollar in India Cheesy.
1382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 06, 2019, 09:42:43 AM
Adensanya is for real, lol, I thought Robert will win this one, but Israel was very quick and has the guts to go toe to toe with Robert and he caught him before the end of round one and I said that it will be over. I think the quickness, movements are the key to his win here. Congrats to those who bet on Adensanya.
The next challenger is in line for Israel Adesanya as Paulo Costa will be facing him for the title and that is yet another big fight as both are undefeated fighters and if the UFC can promote it the right way, then it will be yet another huge fight, Paulo Costa looks like a model and i really liked the way in which Israel Adesanya trolled him and called Costa as Ricky Martin wannabe Cheesy .

@ if anyone is able to inform how to watch the prelims that would be great.
1383  Local / India / Re: Buy bitcoin from binance? on: October 06, 2019, 08:32:23 AM
Can you explain a little more on transaction?
Simplex have a transaction charge of 3.5% and their partner site will have their percentage, i made around INR 4,00,000 transaction and the fees was around INR 15,000. I will not advice this method to anyone as the transaction and other charges levied are bigger and P2P is the best form.
There is a full on KYC where you add your entire details including your phone number, it is a big process to make these transaction and you need patience. But the amount is credited as soon as they are verified.

Does it just say Simplex or something more?
Done a transaction with binance and it says simplex binance in the statement. Done a few other transaction as well with the simplex method.
Basically they will add the partner name alongside simplex, with Coinmama in the statement it appears as simplex Coinmama.

Hope this is clear to everyone.

TBH I expected a bit of a fight from the South Africans. I did expect a result not a draw but I didn't expect the match to be over by 2nd session  Undecided
Yes the South Africans are fighting for the 9th wicket and they are reaching a 100 run partnership and are fighting hard to extend the win for India, not sure how long they can wait their inevitable defeat Wink.
Shami bowled well in this pitch and he was landing the ball in all the humps in the pitch and was taking wickets but now Kohli is not giving the ball to fast bowlers to take the wickets of the tail, not sure why Kohli wants to extend this match.

No need to shave your head anymore. Your hair is safe. Betting on South Africa was always a losing bet and England turning it around against Australia was a rare occurrence. As expected, India is going in for the kill.
I knew my hair was always safe as i knew the South Africans will survive the Indian pitch  Cheesy. Two more wickets to wrap the match.
1385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 06, 2019, 06:20:05 AM
@SaShiRaJaVu you just got lucky Cheesy.
Yes i am lucky to see that South Africa is able to score more than 100 runs now and just two wickets needed to wrap this match, wondering how long South Africa can improve the 9th wicket partnership as they are reaching a 50 runs partnership now which is the highest this innings for them  Wink Cheesy.

That's right, but Indian team too had played in the same pitch scoring 323 losing just four wickets. This is not about the pitch, the players aren't good enough to play against the bowling of the Indian cricket team.
If there is a couple of top class spinners in the South African side then India will not score easily like that in the second innings. They are coming in the subcontinent wicket with a single spinner and expect to contain the Indian batsman is the dumbest decision they can make as India is known to play spinners really well.

Part time bowler took 4 wicket today but let's bash Ashwin he only took 1 wicket Grin
Cheesy Yup the part timer is good and keep on taking wickets for the team.
1386  Local / India / Re: Buy bitcoin from binance? on: October 06, 2019, 05:40:36 AM
For everyone who is planning to purchase using binance there is nothing illegal about what you are doing as you will be purchasing US dollar or Euro according to your choice and not any crypto with the card, so there is nothing illegal about it. The processing platform is simplex and you need to carry on some verification process and the transaction in my statement was given as simplex and remember there is conversion charges too, it is better to use LBC or Wazirx.

NP: credit goes to my friend here for helping with simplex process  Wink.
1387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 06, 2019, 04:56:36 AM
I hope what you are predicting comes true but this is cricket. Don't underestimate the opponent that much. And please don't shave your head for a match lol
It is a really difficult pitch to hold for a long time and the South African batsman are feeling the Indian pitches and it is not a pitch to chase 300 runs in the final day, you can do those high octane chases in foreign pitches where it is made for seam bowling and in the history of Test match cricket how many chases have we seen, not more than 5 in the history of cricket  Cheesy. I was not underestimating the South African players but it is an impossible task to chase that much in Indian pitches in the final day when spinners are operating. I was hundred percent confident when i made the bet because i will be surprised if South Africa could defend the entire day  Smiley.

Three wickets have fallen for South Africa scoring just 20 runs.
It is a matter of time and how long South Africa could bat in this pitch and show their fighting capability.
1388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 06, 2019, 03:10:54 AM
Have you forgotten England's nearly-impossible chase against one of the strongest teams Australia?
The team England had in that Test with Australia was with players who have a one day strike rate of over 100 and you think they will not try to chase a total that can be chased, do you see any players who could go after the Indian spinners in their team if so you can say that there is a possibility, what is the only weakness South Africa had after coming back to international cricket in 1992, they are not known to play spin that well.

~snip
Sure i will shave my head like that if South Africa wins Cheesy.

1390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Loan to buy Bitcoin? on: October 05, 2019, 11:36:50 PM
I know it's not the place to ask I will do whatever I think it's best, but if you were in my position, would you do it?
All we have are assumptions on where the price of bitcoin will be in the next few years and there is no certainty on how the entire financial sector will behave in the next few years, what if there is a financial crises pops up taking all the market down, you cannot undermine those situations when it comes to taking a risk by investing in something by taking a loan. Investment must be from your savings and not by taking a loan and having a time frame and if the market collapses all your calculation will go down the drain too. So my advice is to avoid taking loans to invest in anything.
1391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There isn't always a clear reason why BTC went up or down on: October 05, 2019, 10:27:35 PM
Imagine 3 whales with 1000 btc each decide to sell bitcoin and by chance they do so at the same time. Of course the price will tank and people will wonder why, bots will follow and so on.
The possibility of whales selling or dumping 1000BTC at a particular time in the open market is highly unlikely. There is an OTC market where big sales are taken place which is not reflected in the open market and we could expect these kind of whale manipulation when there is a rally and there is a big influence of institutional investors and they usually manipulate the market like you said.
1392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinGecko is introducing "Trust Score" to combat fake exchange volume on: October 05, 2019, 09:24:31 PM
Hello everyone! CoinGecko is introducing "Trust Score" to combat fake exchange volume. From today onwards, we won't be sorting exchanges by reported volume but will take into account web traffic and orderbook data.  Grin
The fake volume is a curse and we need to get rid of that to have some transparency and a fair evaluation of things for the people who invest money. Most or all of these exchanges are not regulated and there is a plenty of competition in the exchange market and all the exchanges are trying to get an upper edge to attract more customers and with no regulatory board overlooking all these, they could fake these volumes but coingecko has taken a good initiative and hopefully they will not take money and fake the volume themselves as i am sure these exchanges will be ready to pay huge amounts to show these fake volumes too Smiley.
1393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 05, 2019, 04:08:24 PM
Pakistan best batsman Baber Azam gone, OUT.
Srilanka have given good score to chase. At one time they were looking to make 180+ but thanks to the new bowler Hasnain who took wickets at the depth.
Pakistan lost quick three wickets and we will hopefully witness an upset by the Srilankan team. Umar Akmal is gone first ball duck and Ahmed Shehzad is in the pavilion, right now Iftikhar Ahmed and Sarfaraz Ahmed are in the crease and trying to rebuild the innings, either way it is an interesting battle and let the best team win. Pakistan need 111 runs in 61 balls and it will be fireworks to reach this total.
1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 05, 2019, 03:08:11 PM
How many and which teams are participating in this Pentangular T20I Series ?  Is this only being shown online and can we see all the matches on this youtube channel or just this one ? I could not find any sports channel which is broadcasting it live.
There are five teams in this series, Oman, Ireland, Nepal, Netherlands and Hong Kong and if you are really interested to watch the match live, the Oman cricket board is streaming the match live in youtube.
This is the Youtube channel of Oman cricket board if you want to watch this series live.

Srilanka scored 165 and Pakistan needs 166 runs to win the match and we have a good match now. Srilanka could not capitalize on the start they got and the last five overs they could not score that much runs.

SA will easily win this match. Tomorrow's whole day of play and they have Knock and du Plessis who could easily get them the required runs. They should have atleast played till the end of the day and declare tomorrow.
Are you serious  Roll Eyes . South Africa require another 384 runs to win the match and just 9 wickets remaining and the pitch will be difficult to bat in the final day and you expect them to score at a run rate of 4.2 in the final day of a Test match, how long are you watching Test matches to believe that  Tongue,
If South Africa win the match i will shave my head half and post my picture in this thread  Cheesy. There is zero percent chance for South Africa to win this Test match, we might see a draw if they can defend but i highly doubt as India will be attacking from the start tomorrow morning.
1396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 05, 2019, 01:43:36 PM
So it is not entirely accurate if you say that the team sent by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is a B side. I would put it like this - they sent their regular side, in which a few players were missing.
Pakistan is a top team when it comes to T20 rankings and the Sri Lankan is not that great in the shorter version of the game. Even if none of the players are missing they are not going to win easily against Pakistan inside their home soil. Now the ODI series is over lets talk about today's match.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to field and Sri Lanka is batting well, Pakistan likes to chase any targets against the Sri Lankan bowling line up.
1397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin mixers be considered illegal by worldwide governments? on: October 05, 2019, 11:42:39 AM
Maybe you feel safe now because there's nobody knocking on your door or sending you letters but this may change one day. Now your government doesn't care but if Bitcoin ever hits 100k USD you'll not be a normal citizen. Bitcoiners will be seek as cash cows for some of the more corrupt governments.
If you are paying your taxes and following the law of the land why would any government targets you. The corrupt governments can manipulate things and with bitcoin you can have the financial freedom you are seeking away from the government if you want to, but if you are converting into your fiat currency make sure you pay your taxes.
All the government needs transparency from their citizens to have a complete control over them and privacy is a dream and hence i am sure we will not see any legal mixers.
1398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee To Launch New Decentralized Exchange – McAfeeDex on: October 05, 2019, 10:59:23 AM
Like a new beginning but I don't think it will matter all that much. If anything happens, it will be the trust for eth network plummet.
When ETH was introduced as a token creation platform i thought it will revolutionize the entire industry but things were far from that as the scammers took over the entire token creation platform and billions are scammed using it and who really does trust the ETH platform and their dictatorship policy of making  roll backs without consent and so forth and hence their trust is gone a long time.
It does not matter if anyone come up with their version of a decentralized exchange, but all we need is better interface and security.
1399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 05, 2019, 06:08:20 AM
Well.. I had always considered Jadeja as a batsman who can bowl a bit (well, quite a bit). Sometimes statistics can be misleading. For example, he bowled 37 overs yesterday. But I have seen matches in which he was used for just 4-5 overs per day. Anyway, in subcontinent matches, in which pacers are rarely used, it is not that uncommon to see spinners taking 10-15 wickets per match, and bowling 35-40 overs per day.
First and foremost no part time bowlers are able to bowl 20 plus overs in a day, Ravindra Jadeja has played 43 Test match and his bowling average is 23.89 which is fantastic and his strike rate is 59.6, hope you understand what a strike rate means, with every 59.6 balls he picks a wickets and that is also not a bad thing either, not sure what you are trying to prove here. If you think he is in the team because of his batting skills that is mistaken as India has much better batsman, he is in the team as a spinner who can bat when needed and a fantastic fielder.
1400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Quantum Computer Kill Bitcoin on: October 04, 2019, 08:37:32 PM
It is unlikely that quantum computing technology will fundamentally threaten the existence of bitcoin. Each year, when new hardware is released, appears a lot of concerns about the blockchain’s integrity, but there is actually no evidence that quantum computing can compromise blockchain. I don't believe it.
If some crazy billionaire is spending a huge amount of money to destroy bitcoin, then it might be possible but what is the point of breaking something by spending huge amount of money. The fact is that the quantum computing is just a dream but technology is changing pretty fast and with those changes we will have better secure technologies too.

A quantum computer is an extremely expensive thing, which means that only corporate giants such as Microsoft, IBM, Google, Alibaba and others like them can own it.
Hackers will not be able to access resources for hacking such a computer, and moreover they will not be able to have at their disposal a whole quantum computer.
Suppose if anyone use those resources to break bitcoin then they can be prosecuted for theft.
