1061  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting Started on Bityx — Beginners Guide on: December 14, 2022, 08:22:39 PM
SCAM! STAY AWAY FROM THIS EXCHANGE!!

1. Someone have been scammed already, see: Beware of BITYX . COM Exchange Total scam lost 5100 $ in USDT & Bitcoin
2. They have been sending bots to create fake user reviews, see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5420996.msg61328547#msg61328547 (also look at all the newbie accounts above this post)
3. OP's account has changed hands, check its trust feedback! which means they even bought a legendary account to make themselves appear legitimate, something every scammer do!
1062  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to buy a hardware wallet anonymously on: December 14, 2022, 04:49:44 AM
In here, it's possible to use a DHL service point's address and collect the parcel from there. I suggest reaching out to DHL if that's available in your place.
1063  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I'm being robbed by mercatox (dogecoin scam) on: December 13, 2022, 09:46:28 PM
With the ginormous amount of shitcoins they listed, I wouldn't be surprised if they're constantly having problems with their wallets - one of the reasons why I only traded small amounts there. However, waiting for a year is simply too much (even a month is!), it's safe to say that your case isn't being prioritized and it shows their reluctance to release your money.

I guess you're probably already making rounds on crypto communities about this, no? I can only suggest subtly dropping that you're exploring your legal options with other users.
1064  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scam wolebit.com on: December 13, 2022, 06:03:05 PM
Website is inaccessible on my end. I dropped it in urlscan and same result: https://urlscan.io/result/b330c5e3-2bea-4fa2-94cf-9b7324abc04e/

This is why you should stay away with new and obscure exchanges, they are likely to scam their users. If you whois wolebit, it's only 13 days old so it's likely that no one has ever heard of it therefore it has zero rep. I'd consider the documents compromised, I suggest reaching out to relevant authorities/companies.

How to attach images: you can upload it to hosting websites like https://imgur.com/ and drop the links in your post.
1065  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Have anyone used coinplaza.it recently? on: December 12, 2022, 12:37:54 PM
For bigger amounts, I'd say you should at least be prepared for KYC or possibly lose the money. It's still a CEX and the higher the amount, the higher chance it'd be noticed. If you can, try to split the swaps into smaller pieces.

or you can look if there are better alternative for your use case first.
1066  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance asking for KYC, again on: December 12, 2022, 02:42:44 AM
Binance notified me via email yesterday that my documents had expired. I immediately deleted it because I suspected it was a phishing email. However, when I logged into my account, it appeared that the email was correct and that there was no phishing. Binance has asked for my KYC documents once again. I resubmitted, but it is still being reviewed. Though I don't use Binance quite often, I do use it to trade and sell coins on circumstance. I'm still not sure what limits my account because I don't use it much. It's not a big amount, but it's inconvenient. Why are they requesting documents for a verified account once again? I'm just curious.

This article has some good points. I've also seen CEXes use it as a security measure for when your activity is flagged. However, in your case it's because expired documents aren't valid anymore hence your entry needed to be updated like how we have to renew some of our valid IDs.

Might be a good idea to activate the anti-phishing feature for emails in your binance account. I'm not suggesting that you should fully trust emails marked with your code, just that it could act as a guide on what emails should be looked into and deleted.
1067  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PNNV.com - Major update #2 - need your review, again! on: December 11, 2022, 11:59:07 PM
I don't need to disclaimer as I have full access to solve any problem that may occur.

I DO NOT REQUIRE KYC AND WILL NEVER ASK FOR IT.

If you use chagneNOW they may ask for it not on my platform.

I remember trezor also partnered with changenow, integrated their exchange in their platform and had a stance of no-responsibility hence why I assumed.

Could you tell us more about how this partnership (in your case) works? Am I correct to assume that user deposits go to a non-changenow handled wallet? Would it not be possible for changenow to collect user data from ppl who use your exchange? by user data, I do not necessarily mean personal documents as it could also be addresses used.
1068  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PNNV.com - Major update #2 - need your review, again! on: December 11, 2022, 10:33:22 PM
For starters I would put a disclaimer or some sort that it's powered by changenow so that if any problem comes up, people are likely to contact them. It'll be also nice if the fact about them being able to request KYC any time is put out there.

Misc: I'm not sure if it's just me but I have habit of clicking the website logo if i wanna be redirected to homepage again which I can't seem to do on your website. A lot of websites works like this so I believe it'll be a nice quality of life update.
1069  Other / Archival / Re: Current list of exchanges without KYC on: December 11, 2022, 09:39:32 PM
With the exception of Bitfinex and Poloniex there are others which are not that well known.

This article > https://medium.com/coinmonks/no-kyc-crypto-exchanges-buy-crypto-without-kyc-3b2eda2b5397
lists a few more, does anyone have any experience with:

This thread is only for the well knowns so it's likely that they won't be included. Instant exchanges like changelly and changenow also has a different thread, see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5218464.0.

As regards Changelly, I have heard of them before, how reputable are they?

Not so much... you may check their profile and judge for yourself: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=823207
1070  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bybit introduces new KYC requirements for P2P trading, fiat deposits & NFT trade on: December 09, 2022, 11:30:27 PM
Yes, that's right, they informed that are changing the KYC policy on their blog: Enhanced KYC Policy To Be Implemented After Dec 20, 2022

It's quite disappointing that major updates such as this is just nestled in their blog. This is why I'm grateful to crypto communities.

ByBit is gradually moving towards full KYC, as Binance did in its time. They will not stop at reducing the limits, this is a temporary measure, in the end everyone will be required to undergo KYC, but a little later.

It's also a very efficient way to gain userbase and eventually good rep, you can just change the policies later.
1071  Economy / Exchanges / Re: DEX with orderbook on: December 09, 2022, 05:55:08 PM
There’s loopring.io I’ve seen in the subreddits. I can’t vouch for it but it’s on the official webite.

Note that these DEXes aren’t actually decentralized but hybrids which took bits from both worlds - decentralized and centralized.
1072  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bybit introduces new KYC requirements for P2P trading, fiat deposits & NFT trade on: December 09, 2022, 01:50:35 PM
Kinda expected this after reading ratimov's update:

ByBit no longer allows new users to use the exchange without going through full KYC. When registering a new account, you are greeted with the following warning when you try to make a deposit:

https://i.imgur.com/XecnSMB.png

Over the past 3 days, I tried to create 2 accounts from different browsers, devices and IPs, and also asked 5 of my friends from different cities to register. The result was the same, it is impossible to make a deposit without going through KYC with sending a scan of the passport and a selfie. Support continues to respond with general phrases that KYC is not required on the platform, although in fact this is far from the case. The reason why I still do not exclude this exchange from this topic is that yesterday I was informed that it is still possible to register a new account without KYC, but using a VPN. Apparently the exchange has now decided to do selective KYC for different regions, but there is no official explanation from the exchange itself.

On another note, is there any bybit user here who was personally informed about this? I checked my email, logged in and there was nothing... even their twitter account did not mention this. I hope it's just a tad bit late or something.
1073  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New Atomic Swaps DEX on: December 06, 2022, 10:28:39 AM
If you wanna play it safe, I advise to go with those that already have a good standing in the community. This exchange is pretty new with barely any user reviews so you will be playing the risky game.

Yeah I typed in SBF while searching in Google and I missed typed it as SMF when posting here, my bad. I believe most readers can understand that I made a typo error in some lines and I whave corrected that anyway. I understand there is no way he can not be discuss online but in the wrong.

Just read your edited post and uh... are you suggesting we should talk about him less? cause that's what the man wants the most right now -- for people to forget his atrocities. Honestly, stuff like this should be talked more for awareness.

Anyway, it's weird that you didn't get anything about the man/the scandal when you looked up SBF even for the first time  Undecided

This is not reported to be a case of phishing,

I'd say it still counts as phishing since the new owner of the domain still rides on the previous owner's name/brand.

For the record again as we have received multiple scam reports in Year 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Beware we don't own this site anymore (the domain expired in May 2015) and we do not have information about the new owners.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=240370.msg14277293#msg14277293

I've had reports that the new owners are not responding to emails and not releasing escrowed funds.

is there any chance i can get it back?

As pointed out, your chances are low but I would still check if the scammers are dumb enough to send it directly to centralized exchanges. Can you share the address with us?
1076  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why make Samuel Bankman-Fried popular for the wrong reason? on: December 04, 2022, 06:11:07 PM
...

Did you use google? because google searches could be personalized which is probably why there's a SBF when you looked up SMF. In my case, not a single SBF showed up when I looked up SMF on google.

But whether SBF shows up when people search for SMF, SPF, and whatnot doesn't mean he becomes popular in a good way). Most people will probably ignore it because it's not what they searched for and those who become interested will see the shit show he made. I wouldn't worry about this.
1077  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SatScrap Marketplace on: December 03, 2022, 05:18:56 PM
you think can we trust them as escrow?

Escrows must have good standing/reputation before I trust them. The marketplace is pretty new in the game and just started building their reputation so if we're talking about playing it safe, I'd say not yet, at least not with significant items/amounts.
1078  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase account Disabled to spend coin on: December 03, 2022, 11:24:48 AM
How to i get case number?

As OSS pointed out, check your email! once you submit a support request, there should be an automated reply from coinbase that your request was received which should include your case number. If you can't find the email, try searching the keyword 'coinbase' in your account or check your spam folder otherwise you may have to do some fiddling like adding coinbase domain in your contact list as sometimes the spam filters block their emails.
1079  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase account Disabled to spend coin on: December 03, 2022, 10:35:09 AM
Do coinbase reply ever? i never received any reply ever from coinbase

The slow replies/poor support is also a common problem lol. I can only suggest to escalate your case number through their social media such as: reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/CoinBase/) and twitter (https://twitter.com/CoinbaseSupport). Do be careful with scammers impersonating coinbase, they’re pretty rampant especially in the subreddit.

You may also try your luck in one of the live support from here: Coinbase Support contact information
1080  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paypal Bill for Non-Users on: December 03, 2022, 09:51:41 AM
I'm just worried that my email is registered without me knowing.

You can double check this if you're really worried, by initiating a forgot password! you should receive an error if you don't have an account associated with the said email.

Have someone ever bought Bitcoin in Paypal and how it works?

Do you mean their platform buying service? afaik it's not available in indonesia (or was this country because of your vpn or something?). Was this an unsolicited email?
