9081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver holds around 300k bitcoins worth $750 Million and wants the fork on: July 16, 2017, 11:39:37 AM
It is funny that I see this about Roger Ver. I looked him up a few times when I first saw his name. He is called Bitcoin Jesus,,, or maybe he calls himself this. And now he is against Bitcoin. What does this say? He "invested" into Bitcoin, and now he has a lot of money he wants to kill it?
9082  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-07-14] - Coremedia.info - ICOs: Before You Invest, Read This on: July 15, 2017, 09:25:28 AM
I did not trust any ICOs when I first saw them, because I am new mainly. But also because I saw their advertisements always very near or on the same sites as HYIP. It leads me to think: they are the same people behind,,, but I see so many of them with large profits. Am I wrong?
9083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: how much transaction fee i need to pay per 1 kbyte? on: July 15, 2017, 09:21:02 AM

Transaction size in bytes can be roughly calculated using the following formula: (Number of Inputs * 148 bytes) + (Number of outputs * 34 bytes) + 10 bytes

I did not know this before. Very, very useful. Shall use this method already bookmarked to test on my transactions for the next time. I am now just curious: why does the input size look 4 times the site of output? Should not the logic require them to be almost the same size? Or is a lot more data included in input?
9084  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Electrum? Trezor? Safety? on: July 14, 2017, 07:28:49 AM
Thank you for the original question. The resulting answers are a source of learning. I have some values of Bitcoin that I have been holding in a website for some months. This fork that everyone is worried about is beginning to worry me. So am I correct to understand,,, No one has met success hacking Electrum. Yet.
9085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: July 13, 2017, 07:02:52 AM
I think you can use btc to participate in ico. Roll Eyes
Not only btc, you can use a lot of crypto currencies to participate in ICOs and you are right it's a good way to increase your money
as most of the ICOs recently are very successful. The fact that crypto is a growing market, you can find a lot of projects that are having their
ICO now and you can choose your best interest to put your money.

I look at ICOs and the returns for many are high, but also for many you lose them. It seems to be as if ICOs are like HYIP: promise of high return, but when everyone wants to get out, then last person sells for 1% of value because the big ones dropped early.
9086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🌟🚀[ANN][04.07] ICO Starta - Cross-Coin Venture capital on the blockchain🌟 on: July 12, 2017, 08:41:17 AM
Got My Strata Now.

my first ico ever (tried getting into SNT but never happened)

I realized, I should have used Litecoin, would have been much faster

I used BTC this time.

Used Waves on Primal Base ICO.

I can say that Waves is probably one of the most convenient way to participate the ICOs.

Why is Waves more convenient than BTC? Doesn't anything that makes you change BTC into alt and then changing the alt back into BTC when you want out,,, make it less better than just directly? I already lose if I buy sell BTC. Why to lose more.
9087  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Will quantum computing kill crypto? on: July 10, 2017, 06:37:44 AM
" Do you think we will see new quantum cryptos released once the technology is ready? Or do you think Bitcoin will adopt a new layer of quantum security if that is even possible"

The bolded would likely be the case. Been following the Quantum stuff for years now, looks like it is year 2030 technology, by then developers will most likely figure out how to keep things from being hacked or we will never have Crypto and Blockchain anymore.

By the way IBM may have developed some basic quantum computers/technology. They have been on the Quantum thing for years

Technology is always a matter of time. But only if you remove money as one precondition. So, with the assumption of unlimited financial means, all technology is possible. But yes, Bitcoin is not stagnant. It is its nature to respond and adapt. It is not invincible. It is always vulnerable. But Bitcoin is moving, just as tech is.
9088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to the bitcoin on: July 07, 2017, 02:43:07 PM
You can get more free Bitcoin, that is, smaller units of Bitcoin, in a few minutes than you can of this ONECoIN, I am sure. There things called faucets. I start with them and now do other things like small jobs. I even sent a story on this forum for 15 minutes of my time and got 0.01 BTC,,, you can check my history, it was what brought me here.

I don't know ONECOIN and I don't even want to look to see what it is all about. I know it is not worth anybody's time.
9089  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: ICO ban for the US citizens on: July 05, 2017, 06:52:16 AM
Then it is a mistaken title or misleading. It is not an ICO ban for US citizens. It is investment opportunity ban for US citizens who are not accredited investors. But trust me, so many US people avoiding this. HYIP is the best example:)
9090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DDF - Digital Developers Fund: Profit From Digital Assets on: July 04, 2017, 02:24:19 PM
Two Singaporeans here. Are they linked to the location of the developers there or this is just coincidence? Not so important but good to know. Sometimes it would be good to know there are real people behind the project.
9091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SXC][NSFW] Sexcoin - v0.10.4.0 Released!! Mandatory Upgrade! on: July 04, 2017, 02:09:06 AM
Interesting coin, sorry for new question. Just a lot of posts to scroll, I have read some, not all. Is there any adult affiliate programme that you have approached, for the usage of SXC, instead of normal methods? It may be a way for some who are excluded to become part of this adult industry.
9092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO 19 JULY] AVENTUS - ANTIFRAUD ANTI-SCALPING EVENT TICKETING ON ETHEREUM on: July 03, 2017, 05:56:37 AM
Good idea for ticket selling. Let us see if organisers will like the idea. Problem is many insider ticket sales with intention to jack prices up. Concerts are bad. Worst are sports tickets. How you can solve this will be interesting. Lifetime members,,, season ticket holders sell tickets.
9093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Footy Cash Speculation (Still Going Strong!) on: July 02, 2017, 11:48:51 AM
But if there are more than one sports related crypto assets, then can we agree all of them will go "crazy"? I see footy for the first time here. I have heard of more than one other sports crypto, even on this bitcointalk. What's the diff?
9094  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Upgrade Mobile-Mining? on: June 30, 2017, 07:54:37 AM
If looking to mine a solid crypto it seems phones are not good. User posted 16 satoshi a year? You can get 3 to 4 times this amount with faucet claim. In other words, use your phone for solving captcha like MRAI or claim faucet. Kill time when you are stuck on a waiting room or the public bus.
9095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FLASH coin (FLASH) FREE AIR DROP on: June 29, 2017, 05:58:21 AM
Oh this is a nice coin to join. I entered the discord room. I also completed the registration. The windows wallet was so heavy,,, I waited a few hours but then just opened Cryptopia account as suggested. Actually one has to fix the website wallet and windows wallets, if price is to grow.
9096  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Free telegram group. on: June 28, 2017, 06:36:04 PM
I am just asking for curiosity. Not asking to pour any doubt on you. But why would you open such a group? What will you hope to learn? Or is this for the gain of the others. I also have some very small trades. I have thought about sharing. But I don't know a good reason, so have not started. Always be careful, friend.
9097  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How erning over 100000 satoshi/wekly on: June 27, 2017, 03:12:41 PM

You can earn that amount of satoshi's with captcha. There is an offer that you will go for MRAI reward.

And you only need to solve the captcha's and if you are a person that has a lot of free time and you mostly do nothing.

That is suitable for you.

Seems only useful for people with good internet. I tried on my computer and it can take 1 minute only to do two, sometimes three captchas. I heard it is faster with mobile but my smartphone is very old. It does not take this sort of task very quickly. And if open two tabs, it screws up. So still not a good way.
9098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex refuse to distribute Lumen/Stellar on: June 27, 2017, 08:45:18 AM
If I understand, everyone who has BTC can claim it, even if they never know about Stellar Lumen right? Poloniex can say whatever they want but if they are listed or if they have addresses that no one knows, they can claim and no one will know. Why did they even need to say anything?
9099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why exchanges have almost the same price? on: June 26, 2017, 01:35:36 PM
If you want to buy Bitcoin without using your identity like on Craigslist or some personal ad sites, this is not true. You will find they charge even more for anonymous purchase. You want to buy with credit card or paypal? Sure. If you are willing to pay up to 20% more. Market on exchanges are different.
9100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BRO] [WEBRADIO] 😍 BITRAD.IO 😍 - ICO LIVE - Stream diffrent - Webradio on: June 26, 2017, 05:53:18 AM
Yes, I have tried it again today. I see the activity points are collecting. Arzu, if there is a vacancy, I hope you can consider to open it to us members who care about the project. We listen every day. We will surely want to help the revival of BITRAD.IO.
