Ideas for 8bit:

1.  Follow through on torrent/game hosting.
2.  Add Gui functionality for darksend.
3.  Distributed twitch tv like service.
4.  8bit casino hosted on masternodes.
5.  8bit marketplace for cartridges/systems
6.  One click masternodes set up
7.  8bit apparel store on masternodes.
8.  In wallet emulator for 8 bit games
9.  Multiplayer port for 8bit games where users can bet against each other and play for high scores.  Tournaments hosted on masternodes.
10.  Gaming enthusiast chat room in wallet.
11.  Create your own 8bit game hosted on your masternode.  People can play your game for a certain window of time by paying 1 8bit.

Just brainstorming here

Edit:  Establish a Board of Directors.  Require 1000 8bit balance for a seat / access to special slack channel.  Call these Directors something nerdy/related to gaming.  Also require each director to add .1 btc buy support at a certain price point on bittrex.

I like those points hope dev can realize them

I really like point 11. It's similiar to my crowdfunding indie games model. And it's not about to require payment, it's about peoeple willing to pay to fund certain game development. Each crowdfunding platform takes comissions. So do masternodes. Can't tell you more at this stage.
I will write my opinion about rest of points later. Too many things to do at this moment, no time to analyze them in details. But yes, most of them fit one of directions (I hope) 8BIT will follow (gaming). There are two additional directions, TBA.

Regarding Board of directors, community has to decide what benefits should they get over users out of such inner circle. Insider info? Extra votes during votings?
I also guess price of 1k 8BIT is way too small as long as you want it to be something more important just a honour title. Especially since we will need many 8BITS to give away to non-crypto communities. Details soon, but it's not on current tasklist since it will be a part of marketing strategy which not has a single complete point yet. Autumn will be hot!

Yet another thing to take into consideration.
We can increase number of confirmations required to commit masternode.
Once you have to wait for a day to get masternode activated you will not sell it (or rather coins invested) one day later.

Again, this is not something I promote nor force.

Masternodes are still pretty new thing.
They change economics and nobody is absolute sure how they will affect altcoins ecosystem.

Like we had pool hopping aiming to most profitable pool, then multipools aiming to most profitable PoW coin, finally we can see kinda masternode hopping aiming to most profitable masternode investment.

Those who are in this business for more than a month understand this analogy.
There are cases when experience lets predict future. I believe this might be such case.

How would it work? You can seek for a coins with temporary reduced number of masternodes. Then you buy amount of coins letting you to run profitable number of masternodes. Because of your shopping rate grows. You immediately withdraw coins and run masternodes. As long as number of masternodes is low you keep your masternodes running. Once number of masternodes grows you start to cash out. Market price comes back to previous value. Collected masternode rewards are your profit. You can be kind and just keep those coins, you can be also aggressive investor and dump them immediately.

What is temporary reduced number of masternodes? First of all, it's pretty common that there are many nodes run on same machine. Second, it's pretty common that there are many nodes run on same network. Finally many nodes are run on home computers on weak connections. There are also network outages and human factor. So it's pretty easy to figure out and attack masternode network weak points instead of massive attack what probably wont be profitable.  It would be very expensive to attack DASH this way, but neither 8BIT nor CRAVE nor any other new altcoin are safe.

This is actually why I aggresively promote running own masternode. With current (and maybe next) inflation we are safe as long as masternode network is widely spread.

We can look at others, make copy&paste or be those who create things and let others to copy&paste them.
And take advantage from being first with its implementation.
Do you have an idea? SHARE IT HERE!

Well, i thought about a longer time needed for mn, well its not bad if its higher.
Maybe its a way to prevent in some manner that decrease and increase in the number of mn.
But it hasnt been really aggresive as shown some pages ago (the graphic).

1. It was on original roadmap, although i think there is some coin that already did that. Its not a bad option, if there are several services to develop we will get a wider audience
2. Important in some way, but as an option is not bad
3.  Smiley
4. Talked this with 8bit-party in slack some days ago. Its a good way to go
5. Dont know the real niche for it
6. Interesting, just if services are delivered through mn
7. ALways an option, but shouldnt be prioritary
8. Interesting
9. About this one, a version of http://agar.io/ , played with 8bit could be really interesting
10. Im not sure if this will have a lot of users
11. Could help growing the userbase

About the board director, i dont think having private rooms could help, as saw before on arch. Let the coin like a coin for profit from people that are not there

Cryptsy says it is a problem with the coin itself. They say it fails every time they try to rescan the wallet. So if they think its the coin and the coin's dev thinks it's the exchange, will the problem just continue? Doesn't really appeal to new investors as my self. I have funds just sitting in the wild right now, 8bit will not make it into my long term portfolio if I lose a bunch on my first purchase.

Maybe old wallet is wrong for them, but until the hardfork is complete, theres nothing no one can do here to solve it, as no one has access to the original repository.
So you must understand, that if there is some problem with the wallet, no one can solve it now.
Btw bittrex wallet works good, so i dont think there is a problem with the wallet

If rescan fails why don't they run salvagewallet? When I was testing a wallet I have made a hundreds of transactions and when I got 0-confirmations stuck I ran salvagewallet and always got fresh, working copy of my wallet.

It sucks, but crypsty has take so long to fix a coin with an isuue more than one time.
So i hope it gets solved, if not on the hardfork maybe its solved  Wink

Many people reported problems with withdrawals. Deposits were working fine. I am afraid that they screwed something and lost coins. In such case its always good to say it's coin issue.
DOZENS of wallets online, FOUR exchanges. ONE wallet has a problem. CRYPTSY wallet. Amazing.

I can personally contact them, and ask about the issue. Complaining and bashing them in support tickets doesn't do anything. Hold tight.

  • I am happy to announce that today we have reached 277 active masternodes online! Looks like we are 2nd masternode currency, chasing DASH @ 1st place. And we are still on very, very, very, very early stage! Day is not over yet!

  • I have set up an url: http://forum.8-bit.party/ directing to my first announce here. I hope it will be useful for those looking for block explorer or bootstrap.

Like many other reliable coins. This is good news actually. c-cex is a home of scam coins, you can buy any amount of XPH there anyway anytime. This is most hated exchange nowadays we really don't need extra problems. Cryptsy issue is enough problem now.
