Multipool

I'm confused,  I thought all new 8bit at this point was created via staking and masternodes.  Are you looking to change that?   Or was I mistaken about how this works?

I want to setup up a multipool which will mine most profitable coin and make payout in 8BIT. Mined coins will be sold and 8BITs will be bought on exchanges. Nothing fancy, classic model. Useful to keep small but predictable demand.

Personally I prefer PoW over PoS (thus paying for effort not balance), however fixed PoS is acceptable (unlike high % PoS) so I am fine with it and not gonna change anything here with deep discussion before, don't worry.

MTR, this does not change the fact that what he wrote in your thread is completely true.

And, you asked for hell of a lot BTC for a takeover, more than half of it was profits. Even its the old dev, you are no better than him. So shut up.

Not that I agree with 8-Bit going all dumbass in a thread he has no business with

I had to pause masternode updates for few days because my testnet nodes need memory... while building rich list process loves memory too.
I have just issued a manual update so you can see fresh data ATM, but auto-mode will be reenabled in few days as I have to move block explorer to another machine.

No problem. Keep us updated. No hurry...Doing it right is important. Thanks for the quick reply as always.

Price is looking good nobody dumping  Cool

Maybe we can see 100K as new floor Cheesy

To be honest...
I would rather see panic sell instead of this market clinch. I still have not shown anything absolutely brilliant so, hey people, don't you think you should at least put some reasonable ASKs?
I know most of us paid more than 100k sat for a  single coin, but hey, we all either stake or install masternodes, I am not saying you should sell anything below buy-price, just put some of your extra income to orderbooks to bring liquidity to the market. Grasp all, lose all. And don't tell me - you first. I owe you noting.

Some people send me with ideas like 'hey man if it's takeover and restart why don't you simply disappear for a week or claim you are not sure that you will stay here because of your personal issues just to restore liquidity on bittrex'. Stop this. We must be reasonable, we must be sensible. Don't send me such ideas as, besides I think it's pretty pity, it looks like a provocation.

Weeks ago I said I am not intersted in P&D here, so don't expect me being happy of market value growth without reason. Just because I believe it's all about speculation it does not mean I love speculation. Yes, I am happy that people believe in this coin, but my goal is to deliver success, not to see success in people belief.

I offered and sold some yesterday and am happy to see the price even higher today! ~

Thanks to all who are helping within the 8bit community.

Maybe you should go back to sleep and wake up again. Or realize that it was just a nightmare.

It seems to have self rectified. Talk about bad luck  Huh
I've been staking 3-4 blocks an hour since 1:00pm EST. (just got one while writing this too.
I don't post too much on this forum, but been lurking on bitcoin talk for a while.

Just a suggestion.. Can you implement something in the wallet that sends your stakes to an exchange after you hit a certain threshold?

BTW:  I love this coin and now have a top 20 wallet, last night was amazing!!! I wish I could help out more, but I have no other skills than buying bitcoins and making orders and I run a 100mh/s scrypt rig if you want to setup that multipool.

My logs say that within last ~13500 blocks (last ~11 days) there were 267 orphan entries what is less than 2 percent. However, another log with last ~2500 blocks (last ~2 days) say there were 13 orphans what is 0.5 percent.
Once we will go with bumped and enforced protocol version those numbers should stabilise.

NEW 8bit Faucet and Monitor

Fueled by some booze and some boredom, this weekend I've coded an 8bit faucet from the ground up.  I think my code is good (well not "good", my code is ugly as sin, but functional), and it seems to be working, so I'm unleashing it onto this community to hopefully iron out any kinks.

It was basically configured randomly as far as the economics go.  1 click allowed per hour, pays .01 8bit per click, with a cashout threshold of .08 8bit.  Cashouts are paid on Mondays and Thursdays at 00:00 GMT.  BUT, that was random as I was putting this together, so what economics make sense here? how much allowed how often???

Obviously it's not very polished yet, so moving forward, I'd like to add a game to it (really basic game, think freebitco.in), much formatting, and I'm sorry, a banner ad or three, it is a faucet. (sorry, but I'm NOT currently taking any percentage from the faucet's transactions at all. That's open for debate though, I'll go ad free, or much less if the community would rather I take a small cut of the cashouts.) And, obviously I'll need some help from the community funding it and getting the word out.

So, without further delay... http://8bit.netspecto.com

Also, as I'm a systems geek anyway, I've built a monitor to watch my new faucet.  But, who wants to stop there? I have it watching a few other aspects of the coin as well, and I can build this to monitor and alert on just about anything... The possibilities are honestly endless... Think trading opportunities, health of the coin network, masternodes, alerting... really, endless... So, if you've got something specific in mind...

Click the dots!  http://xymon.netspecto.com/xymon/8bit/8bit.html

A few specific examples of what is being watched...

Faucet balances (total balances vs. payouts that have reached the cashout threshold and ones that have not)
http://xymon.netspecto.com/xymon-cgi/svcstatus.sh?HOST=8bit.netspecto.com&SERVICE=balance

Number of faucet payouts (last hour, last day, and since the last cashout run)
