Downloading now. Which one sounds better to you? "Breathe"  or "Money" ?

breathe, why brain damage?

"Breathe" is genius. My favorite on the album.

You Folks made a very nice looking, organized, and informative front page.

edit; guess that is called an OP? not sure, but I like it anyway.

Thank you! Yes it's called an OP (Original Post).

We are preparing for some impressive news....

Any hints as to what's coming?

New code and ISK/AUR exchange opening in Iceland will set the tone for an increased media presence, followed by an awareness campaign (If I tell you more about it, I'll have to kill you).  There is multiple projects being discussed/developed at the same time - and one of these will have a huge impact in iceland.  Hints ?  Well - the target is 330 000 is angry citizens, how can we reach them all very quickly ?

We know how.

What special features will the new wallets have ?

I asked the promotion team to release all the data over time (starting about two weeks ago)... I hoped they would release info more sooner. As I will be pushing changes for the hard fork to one of my public repo's today... here is the big news:

Auroracoin goes multi-algo. Scrypt, SHA256, Groestl, Qubit and Skein (same algos as Digibyte) will be the algos that we are going to use. There will be a few more changes (mostly as a result of the implementation of this change), but I let that over to the other team members to release.

Haha, I know BioMike personally and I can tell you one thing, not by far the John Wayne type  Wink

My guess is he got a bit carried away because we are releasing the code for our new seeds today. We are all very exited about it, have been working very hard on this and other projects the last couple of months. We decided to wait for the moment we actually have the binaries online before we released this info because we want to refrain from any form of hype.

Official statement will be released later today.

Finally, some work coming out from the AUR team.

@Whistleblowa , I am certain this would of been discussed on the official AUR forum as I know how mad and angry Biomike and LTEX became when the Gulden team announced projects that weren't discussed with the community.

This is a community coin which is why I am still holding my coins.

There has been plenty of work being done by the team, but most of what's being done is face to face with major players in Iceland.  At a corporate/business level like that, you don't go announcing anything until the final handshake.  Besides that, there are additional services being coded that will be released concurrently with the new wallets, or shortly thereafter.  So hang tight, and you'll see the announcements this month.

We won't discuss NLG here mate, and I'll ask that you don't either.  If you want to discuss NLG history, do it in the NLG thread, not here.

Good call on the multi algo, that gonna really help to securing the blockchain by fetching new miners in.

I'm sensing a jump in price very soon.

So, tell a total newb to multi-PoW: do I need a GPU?

"The best GPU algorithms to mine on are Skein, Groestl and Qubit. It is still possible (but not recommended) to mine all five algorithms with a CPU."
But Can It Run Crysis?

Depends if you want to mine or not. You can use them... or not. From our point of view it is to prevent stalls on the block chain (due to jump pools), which are a road block (pun not intended) on getting AUR accepted in Iceland.

The main reason to chose multi-algo is what BioMike said, the prevention of stalls due to multi-pools hopping on and off one single algo.

By dividing the chain over 5 different algo's, of which three are still ASIC resistant, we can not only secure smooth transactions but also give people with GPU's and even CPU's a good option to mine Auroracoin. This also helps to keep the chain decentralized.

The dev team has its weekly meeting this evening after which we will draft a first official announcement of the developments in store. Stay tuned!

What special features will the new wallets have ?

I asked the promotion team to release all the data over time (starting about two weeks ago)... I hoped they would release info more sooner. As I will be pushing changes for the hard fork to one of my public repo's today... here is the big news:

Can you PM the public repo link? A history lesson for all of you, it was Myraidcoin that developed Multi Algo and not digibyte, digibyte copied myraidcoin and used the same algorithms you will be using. You will be using the original algos used by Myraidcoin.

We're in the process of setting up the development repo on the aurarad github. As for the history lesson, thank you for the correction.
