Yeah maybe there is no country totally ban gun, the government state that to own a gun we must need a license. But since its hard to get the license and must through complicated procedures, I assume we can't get a gun in our home.

Nah. Can't be true.

So what are you trying to say? Do you think we must get one in our home, even it illegally? Or maybe you will give us tips here how we can get the license of gun owning.

I could give you some tips if I knew the laws of your country. But I do not.

Australia comes to mind. It is extremely difficult to own a gun (legally) there. The Australian gun laws were tightened after the The Port Arthur massacre in 1996. Some 750,000 people own a fire-arm legally in Australia, while another 300,000 to 600,000 own them illegally. Australia is having one of the highest per capita ownership of illegal guns in the Western world.

So before newton was born... Bullets did not know where to go? Technically speaking of course...
Correct, before Newton was born physics didn't existence, and bullets would behave randomly.

I'm not sure it can work in my country, since not all of American can get their right to get a gun although it was ruled in Second Amendment. So do you have a gun now in your home? Maybe someday if I change my mind to get one, I will show my government the US Second Amendment.

Well... The second amendment does not exist in a vacuum. Also your government could be inspired by the Swiss if not a fan of the U.S.

Our guns aren't going anywhere, the Govt. is not capable of taking them all. It's logistically not feasible.

1- forced gun registration. Name. Address, etc.
2- confiscation
3- think of the children and the new classrooms that will be created with all those destroyed guns people!!!!

Thanks, I got some tips there, then I found an interested quote from the article, so I put here

"Cultural conditions, not gun laws, are the most important factors in a nation's crime rate. Young adults in Washington, D.C., are subject to strict gun control, but no social control, and they commit a staggering amount of armed crime. Young adults in Zurich are subject to minimal gun control, but strict social control, and they commit almost no crime.

America-with its traditions of individual liberty-cannot import Switzerland's culture of social control. Teenagers, women, and almost everyone else have more freedom in America than in Switzerland."

So, maybe that's why US government don't trust you to bear a gun, and made a complicated procedures for society to get it. Do you still wanna get your right for it? US people have more freedom, and now want to get a weapon.

Anyway, thanks for your interesting article.

Well, my opinion on guns reflects those of (then president) Bill Clinton on abortions.

Among civilians, they should be rare and also perfectly legal.

You cant solve human irresponsibility by government repressions against law abidding citizens.

Power to the people...

The 2nd amendment was NEVER created for hunting ducks and rabbits...

Correction: that is why whoever is in power wants more power and less for you. Don't forget: the founding fathers, all of them came from Europe... They came from countries with kings and emperors. They knew their history and ancient history.

Now your position could be: it is old history. We have democracies everywhere. No need for this mentality anymore.
Have you seen what is going on in greece? Italy and 10000 new migrants per week? Things will not stay the same. History is in a constant flux, as the minds of people...

Gun's don't cause violence. If violent people want to go crazy and kill people, they'll find ways to do it with or without guns.

I support that civilians should be allowed to have fire-arms in their homes so long as that person has a license. "Guns are a tool." Guns don't kill people... People kill people

Exactly. Check this table:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_by_murder_rate

The gun ownership rates in every single one out of the top 10 cities on that list is less than that in the United States. For example, the gun ownership rate in Honduras is 6 per 100, while that in the US is 89 per 100.

Gun control has to do with turning your guns on everyone who has a different opinion about your idea of gun control.
