Do you think the FED will stop printing dollars and use Bitcoin instead? While they surely have enough money to buy all Bitcoin, what would be their the advantage by doing this? If they want to give up their dollar system then they will likely create their own crypto currency and keep control of it. The FED has only interest in things where they have the control!
It would not even happen. Highest that would ever happen is for them to adopt the blockchain technology which we already know has made currency to evolve. However, this would not stop the usage of bitcoin as there is nothing they can hold against it to stop it. Government controlled currency will always be in play and that is one thing they will not give up, which we already know why.

not bitcoin seems unlikely to be a substitute for the dollar, since its bitcoin supply is very limited, there may be a new digital currency again which is more suitable for all payments across the country.

I do not think that bitcoin could or will replace dollars or any fiat money since it is because that only few know what is bitcoin or altcoins. Only people who have access in the internet and who has knowledge would gain on it. Thus, making it more impossible to come true. It is like bitcoin or altcoins is for people who is in the internet and dollar or fiat money is for people for are in a country.

Governmen will not allow fiat to be replaced. That is a solid statement, but what can government do is to use bitcoins as "bullion". Like they can use this especially managing and paying the county's loan to another country. This way bitcoin can maintain it's price and will be legalized at the same time.

We have to think in the long run because bitcoin users continue to grow every day, there will be a moment where everyone can use the internet and bitcoin will get to know them. The dollar's effect will be eroded slowly along with the growing popularity of bitcoin in the trade and investment markets. But you are right if bitcoin will not replace it because there is a strong rule that fiat will remain a sovereign currency.

in the near future bitcoin is not intended to replace the US dollar or other currencies of other countries that have been controlled by the government or the local central bank. However, its presence can be a universal and acceptable alternative currency anywhere in the world

For me, bitcoin can’t replace the dollar. Yes, bitcoin is becoming very famous and expensive. But the acceptance of bitcoin is still low. The dollar is the most popular currency in this world, many people are using it in their daily lives, and many people are accepting the dollar. Even the bitcoin is the most popular digital currency he can’t replace the dollar because dollar or real money is one of the primary need of a person. Bitcoin has reach the level wherein it has conquered the curiousness and interest of many open minded passive income-driven people. Its value had tremendously increase. Due this popularity, there are questions and rumors hanging around whether it will replace dollar soon. Dollar has been continuously used as medium of exchange in the United States and created a great value all over the world. As to comparison, both have already been part of the lives of many people in different levels of society, yet despite of this, I still can not visualize that bitcoin will be replacing dollar soon. At the end of the day, not yet all have accepted the existence of bitcoin, specifically the cryptocurrency.

The substitution of the dollar or any other type of fiduciary currency is very difficult and involves a slow and bureaucratic process, since the successor of the fiduciary as well as the fiduciary must first obtain the trust of its users. For example, formerly payments were made with other materials, they were gold, silver, bronze and even promissory notes. Only after a long time did we come to have the money as it is known today. I believe if this happens, it will be evolution, not to mention the economy that the countries would have in the manufacture and maintenance of money.

They just say that to promote their business, they are always use to saying all sort of rubbish that comes into their brain. Bitcoin won’t replace dollar, dollar is a real currency, which is legal and widely accepted. Unless they mean in terms of investment, but still, everything is still being calculated in n dollars. Dollar will always be above Bitcoin.

In my opinion, bitcoin can’t replace dollar even it become much expensive. The dollar is the most use currency and most acceptable. Even bitcoin is becoming very popular and very expensive in the future it will not happen. Some countries ban bitcoin for some reason, bitcoin can’t control by the government, and the identity of the user is so limited that they can’t know how is it. Also, bitcoin is taxed less, so bitcoin has a small chance to replace the dollar.

in order to replace the dollar bitcoin should become a state currency...this will never happen, because it can't replace the dollar...besides there are not many chances that it will survive with such long transactions

The bitcoin price hike happened too fast, I'm afraid this is a temporary bubble so it does not take long to drop, even though the price has reached over $ 15k but I'm sure it's hard for bitcoins to replace the dollar in the near future.

Its good concept, but from one angle this is almost impossible why is that. Bitcoin have limited supply and dollar or euro can be printed when they want. This may be main reason why bitcoin cannot replace dollar.

No it is not compulsory that for replacing the dollar bitcoin have to become a state currency and it is the plus point of the bitcoin that it is not the currency of a single country. That point will make it more attractive to each and every person and country to adopt it as no one will think that they are promoting any others currency but whenever someone will use it they will think that it is the currency of each every country.

I dont think so if bitcoin can replace dollor soon becuase dollor is one of the papular money in the world. It could be possible in the future, but I highly doubt that it would be soon. The thing is the United States of America will not just let any currency to overcome their own, for replacing the dollar bitcoin have to become a state currency and it is the plus point of the bitcoin that it is not the currency of a single country

I believe that saying of the CEO of coinbase on bitcoin replacing dollars in the next 15years to come, in as much as that is true bitcoin is also the 21st century revolution in the the world financial system and at that bitcoin is the only currency who has the capacity and the potential to become the world unified currency. In time to come bitcoin will become so popular that even vendors in our local market will except bitcoin for payment.

Bitcoin is not the competitor of the USD. Then it won't replace dollars soon, or late. It will never manage to do this. USD is always strong, but bitcoin will make its value higher against USD every year.

A small possibility of bitcoin will replace the dollar because the dollar has become a fixed currency and is widely known in the world. Bitcoin can change the dollar takes a long time seems to me.

I really wonder. As long as they cannot control it, then it cannot replace dollar and people though would be given the chance to make use of it if they wish but as it is already, it would be controlled. Fiats would always still be in existence and it would depend on each users which they want to make use of or not. Buying all bitcoin is not even something they can do at the moment unless you are willing to sell yours to them, and even if they buy all of it, what does that amount to, holding all the bitcoins when another one can just be made?
