If you mean adoption , BTC is just at infancy, in case of adoption. A long way to go. And few days back, I was stuck with my pending tx for 2 days to be cleared. It was different occasion though. But I still think that BTC is not entirely controlled by its users. BTC is controlled mainly by several types/classes of people. And I think miners sit in the driver seat. BTC will replace USD but USD/fiats are ahead , now

I don't think so, dollar is like the signature of U.S. if it does replace dollars literally then bitcoin itself can replace all money value and can take over the world. but too exaggerated it think

Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114983/coinbase-ceo-bitcoin-will-replace-dollar-within-15-years

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?
Do you think that the bitcoin can replace dollar? Do you also think that people will agree that bitcoin can surpass dollar and become global currency? Bitcoin will never surpass and replace the dollar.

in order to replace the dollar bitcoin should become a state currency...this will never happen, because it can't replace the dollar...besides there are not many chances that it will survive with such long transactions

There is nothing these stupid CEOs won’t say just to get people to invest into their business, well that’s what a business should always do to promote their business. They are always doing everything to attract people to invest in bitcoin (especially in their own company) they might even tell you that Bitcoin will be sold at the price rate of $1 million dollars tomorrow.

I don't see bitcoin in trend list. The main problem is its population. About half of people in the earth don't have knowledge about bitcoin And on the top internet is required to use bitcoins plus its not exist physically. So how people can account the bitcoin with getting any knowledge, for me NO it won't replace the money with bitcoins.

No, I don't think  Bitcoin will  replace Dollar soon. Considering the wide acceptance of dollar as a currency, bitcoin  is accepted in many countries of the world and in other part it is not accepted, they even involve in fighting bitcoin, both the government and even the financial institution, the bank. It will be possible if earlier Bitcoin have been widely accepted just like dollars, i would even have accepted that in  15 years, it would have been achievable. Widely accepted currency would not have any opposition or  hindrances if actually it has become a universal digital currency.

For me bitcoin can't replace dollar because government regulates dollar. In fact bitcoin has volatile so can't it be replace dollars or euro. I think 15 years is not enough.

No it is not compulsory that for replacing the dollar bitcoin have to become a state currency and it is the plus point of the bitcoin that it is not the currency of a single country. That point will make it more attractive to each and every person and country to adopt it as no one will think that they are promoting any others currency but whenever someone will use it they will think that it is the currency of each every country.
Have you ever heard of 'Hong-Kong Euros' or 'Hong-Kong Pounds'? Nothing right, but there is 'Hong-Kong Dollars'. Now what my point here is that it depends on the country itself if they wanted to adapt that specific currency or digital currency such as Bitcoin.

There's no need in promoting it, because Bitcoin is already a world-wide currency. Its just that it so happens that it is decentralized, that's why people considered it as illegal even if its not.

Due to the blockchain technology, bitcoin is only able to manage 7 transactions per second, which is very little in comparison to fiat currencies. A lot of people use this as a counter-argument as to why blockchain can't replace the dollar in the long run and frankly, this does seem like a big problem for day to day use. The only practical use for bitcoin right now could be value storage, it seems.

As much as this sounds promising, there is a need to anticipate this with cautious optimism. Before we can talk about Bitcoin replacing the dollar we need to look critically at the structure around the cryptocurrency.

There is a need to build a serious structure around it first with a framework that will guarantee general acceptance. At the risk of sounding pessimistic, I believe that fifteen years is not feasible. More needs to be done in raising awareness on Bitcoin

It seems so, of course the US government will never be silent when there is anything that hinders the performance of the USD, bitcoin will have great difficulty if against the USD as long as USA is still a super power state.

I think it depends on a country and the president of a country will decide on such matters. That's why this plan does not happen even if it's been a couple of years since it's going to be a lot more than before, and it's painful to have many critics take on bitcoin because of its price that's not stable and unlikely.Even though it seems to me that this system will not last long.Changing is especially difficult in a country. this is just my opinion.

NO, as i know that the legal currencies is from money that distributed by central bank, how about bitcoin/ bitcoin doesn't have central bank and they use blockchain to save it, i know that blockchain is better than bank system, but n short term bitcoin can't change the USD.

Although I also believe in bit coin and love it, I don't think it can replace dollars not only in 15 years  even in decades. Gold can be a good example as it is valuable against dollar but they are not being used to buy oil till now. Its how us dollar is dominating world market and their is a huge role of government for it. So I think same thing will happen to bit coin like gold.

I don't think that bitcoin will replace dollar completley, there are people that don't like technology and don't have any mobile, and these people never will change to bitcoin. I think fiat money will be accepted always.

So the same will happen to fiat money as how cash money is getting replaced by digital transactions? Seems plausible, but still, transaction times seems to me too much of a problem for bitcoin to become widely used for day to day uses.
