I honestly don't think it'll happen, certainly not in 15 years... In 100 years maybe?
I don't think that bitcoin can replace dollar after 15 years but who knows it might happen if not in 15 years by now, maybe after 20 years or more..It's just only my opinion.

I don't that Bitcoin will never replace fiat. You are asking the wrong question, you should be asking if Bitcoin will ever replace the dollar. Bitcoin is still in its early stages whereas fiat has been around for a very very long time. I don't ever think that Bitcoin will ever replace fiat. Somethings you will always need to use fiat to pay for.

Don't think it would be possible to happen because dollar is a different currency compared to crypto currency and dollar is well regulated and has been created and supported by the government, I think this is impossible to happen so let's stay realistic all the time.

No never. I would like that to happen, but chances are quite slim for it. I think it will be one of the best asset to invest in the coming months, especially if you are looking for some stellar gains.

I don't think so... dollar has been there since "forever" and it is one of the strongest currency in the world. If bitcoin happens to replace dollars, that will consume hundreds of years to take place. I don't see bitcoin replacing dollars as I live
I agree. I think bitcoin will not replace dollar soon and it’s not intended to replace fiat currency of the government but rather to improve their payment system. Bitcoin continue to grow day by day and huge companies already implemented on their own cryptocurrencies and accepted bitcoin as their other currency. And I don’t think government will allow this to happened, people needs their currency in order to buy things they need to follow the policy of the government. Dollar is dollar and Bitcoin is Bitcoin

yes you are right, because the future in the next 15 years has entered the currency of digital currency and has reduced circulation of notes that are not very efficient, it's time to switch to digital currencies like bitcoin and to replace the dollar does take a little longer .

No i do not think so because the government will not alloe that to happen because if that happens they do not have an access anymore into money and they cannot added taxes anymore because bitcoins are decentralized. Maybe bitcoins will just co exist with the dollars like bitcoins will be use as a mode of payment too but they will never replaced dollars because it is controlled by the government and the Government always wants the power and running a currency of the country is a lot of power.

Everything is possible. Maybe the truth bitcoin will soon replace the dollar. I can not understand why many are afraid that bitcoin will become the same currency as the dollar is now? I think people are just afraid of bitcoin. Why?

Remember that physical money will never gone, even if the virtual money is around for good, its capability to be used without internet or electric power.

I don't think so. it will surely get huge, but it will never be going to be replaced with the dollar.
For example, you're buying something, and the seller says it costs you 1 Dollar, that's normal.
When bitcoin replaces the dollar and he converts that 1 Dollar to Bitcoin every hour the price changes?
And people will surely have no idea how much it exactly costs in their currency, either the seller has to convert it to the USD too.

I do not think so. Bitcoin is an excellent tool for trading and risk investing. But to replace the dollar, bitcoin certainly can not, not in the near future.

Yes. It will be quite a hassle trying to convert Bitcoin to USD each time when the price changes. Since BTC is volatile, it is subject to frequent price changes that make it unstable towards using it for your business. That is why, I believe that USD will be here to stay since it has the trust and confidence from many people around the world. When you sell something in USD, you know for sure that it will stay in the rates specified and won't change. In this regard, Bitcoin may never replace the dollar. It could complement fiat currencies by serving as a secure store of value, but other than that, it is virtually unusable for merchants due to high fees, price instability, and more. Bitcoin will always be a safe-haven asset while the Dollar will continue to become used worldwide for years to come. In the future, there may be better options for merchants to keep up with the price stability of the dollar, but using the benefits of cryptocurrencies. One example is BitUSD which allows merchants to protect themselves from volatility while benefiting from blockchain technology. It still needs more liquidity, but as time passes by, it could become widely adopted by merchants all over the world. Just my opinion

It's not possible yet. Not everyone has adopted bitcoin, not everyone is aware of it, not everyone is using bitcoin. It will only be possible if government will allow it. Bitcoin is decentralized, which will make it difficult for government to keep track on everything. It's risky to use bitcoin as a main currency because, it can go down anytime since it's value is volatile.

A dollar is controlled as centralized currency and government doesn't support something that is uncontrollable. All of the governments are adapting to the current state of the market because they need to. They will persist in the preservation of the dollar as such because it has existed a long time before Bitcoin even appeared and also the dollar is representing America as the nation. America is the powerful nation and some decentralized currency ( don't get me wrong; I support the Bitcoin very much) cant replace the currency that has "deep roots" implemented into the society.

I think NO, bitcoin can not replace dollar SOON. We all know that bitcoin is a digital currency, and the government can not control this kind of decentralize currency. No one knows in the future, maybe that will happen after 30years.

There is still a long way to dollar replacement: we need to solve technical issues, and we need to convince the governments and the public.

I don't think decentralized currencies will take over at any time, because if they got big enough you would have a large centralized body (like a government) dedicating lots of resources to take it down.
I think it's a good intermediary to spending fiat in more secure ways. I think it'll stay this way for a while.
