I don't get your argument concerning Manuel Neuer. These statistics are about the current season, not about any of the past seasons. Or would you also say Lewandowski doesn't belong on the list, because when he played in Poland a few years ago he only scored 5 goals.
Manuel Neuer has only conceded 26 goals in 25 appearances this season. In addition to that in 10 games the opponent team wasn't able to score at all. Only Péter Gulácsi has comparable stats this season. So if you don't want to put Neuer on the list, that's fine, but Yann Sommer definitely shouldn't be there.
Stats are good for Neuer but there are other things to consider. The stats on concede goals depends on two components: performance of goalkeeper, and the strength of defense system and the whole team performance. It goes the same for Victor Valdes (Barcelona) and Gianluigui Buffon (Juventus) years ago when Barcelona and Juventus dominated La Liga and Serie A. Opponents were very difficult to score goals against those teams because they dominated most of games they played. For weaker teams, goalkeepers have to face more strikes from opponents (worse performance of whole team, and defense system). I think that choice is kind of recognition for Sommer with his performance in his club.

I read the news today and I thought that Bundesliga is going to start again. I thought that their decision is to take place without spectators which is also hard for Germans as they love going to the stadiums and watch football. Do we have to wait for a further notice?
Chancellor Merkel and the federal states agreed in the Corona crisis to extend contact restrictions Major events will remain prohibited nationwide until 31 August. It is up to the individual federal states to decide from what size events are prohibited. According to the decisions, soccer matches also fall under the category of major events that cannot take place in the coming months.
The yesterdays decision doesn't mean that there are no matches at all until August 31th. All major events are forbidden, that's correct, but there is the possibility of matches played behind closed doors. I am confident that those will come rather sooner than later. If there won't be any matches until August 31th most Bundesliga clubs will have a huge financial problem. The German politicians also announced, that sport events were no specific topic on the yesterdays meeting. Talks about matches behind closed doors are expected to take place on April 30th. The German newspaper "Kicker" reported on the topic: ... Großveranstaltungen in Deutschland sollen bis zum 31. August untersagt bleiben.
... Source: https://www.kicker.de/773965/artikel/hoechstens_geisterspiele_bis_31_august_klubs_hoffen_auf_tv_gelder_im_maiI know many will consider this as a setback as we won’t see the league games for quiet a while now, but considering the fact that fans and players will be safe I’m happy with their decision. Furthermore it seems that they have intentionally left it open for states to decide whether to allow football games or no, therefore it’ll be interesting to see if the states will allow football games to go ahead or not. Lastly even if those games are allowed they’ll be played without fans, and it’ll be horribly boring to watch those games where there’re no fans cheering for their clubs. Players and fans are going to be safe and social distancing is going to be the key for that. We have an alternative to watch the games from our couches and enjoy football again.

Bayern sign Davies to long-term contract - Second most valuable left-back https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/news/view?id=358997a good decision with the player to extend his contract for another 5 years. hopefully he will not "disappear" among all the stars or be awarded to another team, because he is a very talented player and has very good skills

Yes, that is true. Its all about money. But what I have read is that the clubs will do tests about infections every 2 days. I dont know how many test that will be. But think about 50 people (players, Trainer, doctors, ...) will test every 2 days (normally the environment (family, friends) should also be tested.). The plans are that they start from May 9th until June 13th. So lets assume the test starts at May 1st. That are 44 days -> 22 Tests x 50 = 1100Tests per Club. There a 36 clubs so we will have about 39.600 Tests. If we talk about 100 people to be tested we will have about 80.000 Tests. The Labors are allready full. They have no capacities left. Sorry, I love soccer. But it is not system relevant.

His current market value is about €45m, which is pretty crazy or a 19 year-old left-back. His performances this season were incredibly strong so far. FC Bayern really got a raw diamond here. I am expecting him to be one of the best left-backs in European football in a few years. The contract extension until 2025 is a very smart step for FC Bayern Munich. Thumbs up - especially as a Bayern fan!

If they are going to resume the league, the clubs obviously would have to pay for the tests. Nevertheless the German Vice-President of the RKI (Robert-Koch-Institut) Lars Schaade also criticizes the special treatment for Bundesliga players. The German newspaper Spiegel is reporting on the matter today. The Spiegel is reporting about 20.000 additional tests, that are needed for Bundesliga players for the remaining season. If the German bundesliga only is we all can get at the earliest possible for now, I definitely wouldn't mind. It's been far too long without any football action for me.

The whole World is without any sports at the Moment , so way should be Germany starting as only one ? If there ghost matches the clubs also dont get money because they live from the fans . Would be nice when they start playing that you can watch it in on free Tv. But guess that will not happen , somewhere the money must be come in .

it's Germany they are prepared for almost any critical situation, and for sure they are ready to complete the current leagues asap they will cover their loss next year, or even this year, when the new season will start

they are prepared for almost any critical situation, I had a critical situation with you at the poker tables on the weekend and looks like I wasn't prepared at all, because you eliminated me
I think it's fine to start Bundesliga again. When you are doing 100k+ tests per day and constantly increase that number, 20k+ additional tests over a span of several weeks really shouldn't be an issue. It's all about money in the end and weighing the options/risks. TV broadcaster has already made the fourth and last payment to DFL (and thus to the teams), so they are surely putting some pressure on. And there are lots of other contracts, that would lead to mayhem if conditions aren't met in case the season is cancelled. Lots of teams are on life support financially imo, so any money they can make, is appreciated.

No Country was or is prepared for whats going on at the moment with that pandemic ! Every sport wants to finish the league and i have my thoughts about that they recover so fast . Next thing is when they start the German League next month realy and its not on free Tv and only on maybe Sky, a lot of people try to watch at friends or something and this dosnt help realy the health system. But we will see whats happen.

Maybe they might be also trying to get this over with? That is a potential as well and one that we never really considered before. If you put all players in one pitch and hold them there for 2 weeks and make them play rest of the season you are risking around 500 to 1000 people there (talking about the whole league and all players + staff so forth) and that means for 2 weeks we will have a very closely monitored and constantly tested version of the league with no viewers at all at the stadiums, that could be very well done if they are careful enough.
In return they will be capable of telling players to relax until next season which is a very good option considering everyone is looking at the leagues like when are they starting, this way they will be done with and can lock themselves out for months ahead.

You are right its really frustrating without soccer and now time for some action we can hope about Bundesliga as many positive and good news coming from Germany hopefully this could be first league to return in action even with empty stadiums but still love to watch this all.

For sure its frustrating me too that there is no games in the last weeks and it would be nice to watch them playing even there are nobody in the stadiums ! And we can place our bets again when they playing again. But if that the right thing i dont know , tomorrow we will know more after the meeting from the DFL managment
