Yesterday we watched some good and important matches.
The first match was union berlin vs frankfurt. Although frankfurt had the ball at their feet more and had more chances, they couldn't win the match. I can say that Frankfurt lost an important match. The point difference between them and their rivals is getting smaller and smaller. Thus, we should say that they haven't won a match for 4 weeks. They were doing well but I think their match against Napoli in Europe has demoralized them.

Yes, the actual game Frankfurt is very good and even I can say that they deserve to get points in this game. But Union Berlin appeared effective with and was able to score goals to make them win and get 3 points.

After Leipzig lost to Bochum, Frankfurt knew they had to win that match and make the gap smaller between them and Leipzig to at least qualify for Europa League, that's why Frankfurt dominated most of the match, especially the first half, but they were unlucky to convert their chances into goals, Union Berlin changed everything when they managed to score the first goal early in the 2nd half.

All 3 matches played yesterday were of high difficulty. So teams fought against strong teams.
If I start with Union berlin - E.Frankfurt, I don't think it was a deserving match. Frankfurt couldn't get what they wanted despite a good performance away from home. With 63 percent possession and 19 shots throughout the match, Frankfurt couldn't overcome their problems in finding goals. If they had won the match, they would have increased the point difference with their closest rival wolfsburg to 5.
Bayern Munich, on the other hand, lost 2-1 in a game in which they were ahead. Leverkusen won an important 3 points for themselves and it should be noted that they are in great form. Xabi alonso seems to have settled some things in the team.
In the last match Mainz and Freiburg drew 1-1. I expected Mainz to win. Freiburg is tired of Europe and Mainz is a team in form in the last weeks. Being at home was an extra advantage. But they drew with a goal in the last minutes.

In summary, they need to recover very well and need to get a winning streak without a doubt, at least until Dortmund loses, maybe that will be next week, maybe that will be few weeks later, but they need to keep winning until that happens.

If you looking on the table right now it looks for sure better with Dortmund on the first place.

It is not very realistic for Union Berlin to win the title for now as a result. This is still a very successful season for them for certain. I wouldn't expect them to maintain the third position even while we are closing in on the end of the season.

Playing in Champions League against Manchester City will do drain out more energy from Bayern Munich. Dortmund can take advantage of it and convert it to gap over Bayern Munich in Bundesliga. Bayer have beaten Bayern twice in a row in 2019. After that, there were several draws and here they are winning again. But the most disappointing thing about this loss is that Borussia Dortmund have moved into first place in the standings and Bayern now need to play very carefully in their remaining matches to avoid losing points.
