Of the coins I have, the only coin that has fallen more than 70% in the last two months is dct. Rather, the other alts were higher than two months ago. Do you think the price of dct coin will go up if the dct team does not expands the exchange or does not do any marketing? Otherwise, you are deceiving people here.

I would say I'm a decent trader.

The value of DECENT shot up two months ago after being around these levels previously four months ago, if the value didn't shoot up two months ago then the price would not seem like it has dropped that much compared to other alts. It's all about noticing the cycles, selling when the value is going up otherwise you'll have to hold through a bear market. I've been doing this 5 years now and the only way you lose money is by selling when the price drops, eventually there will be no sellers left and a DECENT bull run will begin probably with most other alts as well. If you are really unhappy with your investment in DECENT my advice is stop looking at the markets in the short-term and focus on medium or even long term which might be years from now.

I wouldn't say I'm deceiving anyone, people that take trading advice from random people on the internet probably aren't the brightest anyway. The team is still on target with their roadmap and by the GitHub things are progressing nicely, in crypto things always take time. Many cryptos have taken years to reach a high market cap, DECENT could be the same.

Agreed, the cycles are usually very similar but never exactly the same. This time round the ATL of DECENT could be 2k sat, nobody knows for sure but then the ATH could be 50k sat. Anyone left bagholding DECENT in the position after buying in much higher than current value, just stop looking at the markets for a couple months the price won't go down forever.

The whole alt coin market might see some major gain soon but it will need some overall bullish market sentiment and DECENT might need some kind of initial push in form of a new cooperation or a new exchange to start the price increase. Just because people have been selling DECENT doesn't mean they think the project is doomed, it just means they aren't willing to wait for milestones in the roadmap and want to invest in other alts for faster profits, or want to hold Bitcoin by cashing out of DECENT. Have you actually looked at the work the DECENT team have done on Github over the last 12 months?

You could have sold Ethereum or Dash in the first couple years of their development because of "the inability of the team" or "not enough marketing/exchanges" but then work was still happening and now they are worth 100x-1000x more than they were in the first few years of development, because value, growth & adoption takes a really long time. I'm very disappointed with the price like most people at the moment. And who knows what the larger reason really is for the current price. But you can't deny that the team has been working hard on Decent, with the code, events and such. So far it hasn't paid off that much, but at least they are pushing forward and that's all one can ask.

Your opinion is not wrong. However, it is also a problem that the dct team made efforts in terms of lack of marketing and expansion of exchanges. Even if we believe that dct coin will make a profit in a few years, the price drop over almost six months is disappointing for investors. On the other hand, after a few years, nothing can be guaranteed. Even bitcoin ....

I belive it all boils down to development and a proper marketing. We don't have anything running on top of the blockchain today, but as soon as we do price will pick up hard.

I agree with both of you, I hope development speed picks up a little so the team can focus on marketing. I also hope they aren't overspending and have enough funding left to market and get the platform noticed when the time comes. It does seem like they could spend the money a little better really, but then obviously I have no idea what's going on inside the DECENT teams minds right now so hopefully they have something big planned/in the works like they have stated over the last six months.

I don't think anyone in here had some doubts about the fact that the team is very capable. Its always hard in crypto since mostly the highest price is not equal to the best team or tech. Without any doubt this is a great achievement and I really hope that the team is continuing to participate

It's almost a sin not to take advantage of such... ehm... low price.
DCT is a great, working tech. Transactions are very quick, github code and documentation are very good, team is expanding constantly and overall everything's looking pretty serious and good. Decentralized storage, IPFS and related stuff are buzz words of near future.
Price is like this because overall situation in crypto world. Too much "investors" got burned by buying tops last December.
Also, bittrex lost a lot of volume because of restrictions and binance.
I think that team is taking a good approach by maintaining hackathons and not paying for exchange listings.
Hackathons are good for creation of new startups on the top of DCT tech and overall development of ecosystem.
Paying for exchange listings is bad because that usually cost alot of money and received value is questionable and obviously short term.
Year ago Poloniex was the main exchange, then Bittrex, now Binance... tomorrow something new? decentralized exchange? who knows...
Best thing to do now is buy some and wait for SDK release.
DCT needs user friendly software development kit, newbie tutorials and some good apps to serve as examples what can be achieved using DCore tech.
