I will NEVER ask for any kind of funds up front in a buy/sale of anything on bitcointalk.

I think the most unsettling thing is the blog being updated with more and more transactions. Either they are covering these up until discovered, or they have no idea how much was actually 'stolen'

This is going to get so much worse..

It looks like (if you trust cryptoid's labelling) the XC ultimately got sent into Bittrex.

Seems legit.  Too bad for anyone that made a substantial withdrawal in the last 18 months.

The divorce and bankruptcy lawyers are going to claw back every satoshi of Bitcoin and shitoshi of Crapcoin they can track down.

Those Bitcoins and Crapcoins will then be liquidated for fiat in market rate dumps without regard to slippage.  No speculation allowed.

Let's start a list of known whales with such withdrawals.

1) Otoh

- ~100 BTC
- 1000s of Dash
- 10,000s of LTC

Man, talk about self-incrimination:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg12671376#msg12671376

The bloodsucking lawyers are going to come for those preferentially distributed coins like an enraged bull, given this shit:

Indeed this is true, it's also scary how quickly one can become accustomed to first class limos too Shocked

Two days later, Paul Vernon pens the bankruptcy option.

http://blog.cryptsy.com/

Quote
Here are our options:

1.   We shut down the website and file bankruptcy, letting users file claims via the bankruptcy process and letting the court make the disbursements.

Days later, Paul Vernon goes on the air further espousing the bankruptcy option, all the while knowing that he already filed for bankruptcy on January 11, 2016.

...

This is bad, no chance to get our coins back Sad

There's been no chance for a while.

There's a semi-pro football team in Racine, WI, named the Racine Raiders

Google says John Hammes was an offensive lineman for them back in 2001. Looks like the stadium is called Hammes Field, too (might be wrong on that)

http://journaltimes.com/sports/raiders-may-get-tested/article_71b96bb3-c1ee-59af-8d12-8dd725feeeac.html

http://journaltimes.com/hammes-field/article_43bde6d4-729f-53f0-8489-053c3338e022.html

I feel bad posting this one, but with Ft. Bragg being included, it might be worth something: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/journaltimes/obituary.aspx?pid=176214537

Unfortunately, I've publicly fully doxxed Hammes in this thread. There still may be a connection of sorts, but 99.9% confident he's not BitJohn.

Bit John is 6 ft 8 and played Div 1 College Football...

My negative trust rating is reflective of a personal vendetta by someone on default trust.

I can't even begin to imagine how you think that could be accomplished.  I had a withdrawal, actually a few between June or July and Octoberish. But all crypt-sty has on me is an email address and a name.  Is someone going to email me and ask me to return some alt coins?  I seriously doubt it.  And if they do, I won't be sending anything.
