We are getting some helpful information to our reward email and want to thank all who are helping to find the culprit.  The vast majority of our users want the Cryptsy exchange to continue operating.

Even if you get the money back, you should return people's funds and close Cryptsy. Continuing to operate is not an option. Also, I suggest that Paul Vernon be blackballed from Crypto regardless of whether he goes to jail or not.

They should have had a private internal chat server with mandatory encryption, no file sharing ability, and no external access. You could even make a case for retaining every message for a 7 year period.

You can help by contacting everyone in the company and find someone who can cut off Paul Vernon's VPN access before he destroys evidence. He potentially stole the coins himself. There is no service for him to manage right now. He does not need access. Lock him out.

If he asks, string him along and tell him everything is ok, people are working on it, and it's just a minor technical issue.
