Do you believe we need more ways of advertising Bitcoin currency?

Just make a Bitcoin movie with famous celebrities, like Robert Downey Jr or Will Smith, or maybe even Harrison Ford (lol) Then they would use Bitcoin in the movie to pay for stuff like food or other goods. People would then become curious about it and would want to know more about Bitcoin. Just my opinion. 

I believe that more promotions and advertising are  most important for both bitcoin and it's community's growth. Making movie are short film with the famous celebrities must be a good idea to make bitcoin more popular. When bitcoin get promoted we can simply expect the more price appreciation of bitcoin.

I think one of the best advertising method is to have each and every bitcoin users to play the role of ambassador. I remember reading one of the thread here in this forum about how an individual rather than telling how good bitcoin is, might as well show his/her friends how to use it and how it can function like a real currency. It's like action speaks louder than words.

That is what happened to me. My friend told me and explained everything rather than reading it and not understanding it. The reading will be next if he found out how great a bitcoin is.

The question is, who are going to pay for their talent fees? It will attract a massive interest from people. Even a cameo appearance of someone prominent in bitcoin using bitcoins in one of their movies would produce a positive effect.

Make a love history like TWILIGHT and make bitcoin being the name of someone and ,well some information about how it works,doesnt need to be a star,bitcoin.

There is no need to make bitcoin movie. We can pay for movie makers to let the characters in the movie spend bitcoin in several occasions. We also need some national TV advertisement.

Using referral programs-- people who refer and referred person get some bitcoins for it.. creating some more 24x7 forums like bitcointalk.org for people's help and doubts about it. And, advertising or placing ads over internet.

We definitely will need to mostly focus on creating an effective way to make Bitcoin close to impossible to utilize in terms of scam, theft or illegal practice while still holding onto the anonymity aspects of Bitcoin.

Well, Bitcoin is decentralised so you just advertise your Bitcoin-related bussiness and here you go. That is best what comunity can do and it is on auto pilot. Did you ever see any advertising campaign for us$ or euro? I dont think so. It is on service owners to advertise. Or maybe you personaly can throw some coins and make campaign for Bitcoin, cause that you can do.

That could be a good idea to start with , but as you said "children" , so make sure it's something beautiful and fun so they get it on the first place , I'd like to hear more about the Bitcointalk YouTube channel idea , What are you planning to add there ?

It's never enough to advertise bitcoin , because we are in a war with the other side (banks , media , governments ... ) Media for example try to convince people that only Terrorists and criminals use Bitcoin on the Dark-web which is not true  , same goes for for governments just couple of days ago .. Ukraine trying to convince their citizens to use use other payment methods that reserve the user protection and that kind of things ..

PROMOTION! That too on a bigger scale is what we need. We need to educate people and raise awareness that not all people dealing in BTCs are culprits of crime. My best bet is to promote among the younger generations, especially teens, as they are more ready to accept and adopt a radical and new concept. Let the mainstream media pipe their horn.

What about spreading the word to the younger generation? Children are known to imitate knowledge, and spread it continuously. I am a firm believer in broadcasting and wide advertising. Right now, I'm trying to create handmade merchandise like hand knitted sweaters with the bitcoin symbol embroidered onto them, hand sculpted bitcoin symbol necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and even handmade dolls of a mascot I drew. I'm hoping these fun items will help spread awareness for the digital currency until it's the number one used currency. What do you think?

Personally i think we need to start promoting Bitcoins in real life more now. Web promotion is good but still restricted to some extent. A real-life promotion strategy will create a bigger impact and seems much more legit to newbies, and thus more trusted.

We need more usage when people buying things with bitcoin, not just peer to peer transactions.
