I don't think it's a good idea to invest 1 bitcoin for long investment today. Because the halving is done and the price of bitcoin is not increase. Better you hold your money first.
For me that is a good idea if you are going to hold 1 bitcoin or invest one bitcoin for a long term investment. And it is just going be possible if you are going to hold it for the upcoming price increase. The halving did already happened so the next of it is the price of bitcoin to increase. If you are just patient enough you are going to get good profit. |

this has just been the beginning of the rise , and the halving has not yet affected anything because there is still old coins (pre halving coins) is being sold in the market by the miners. you should know that investing in bitcoin is always risky but right now this risk is low because the rise is close. |

I wont say that it is a really good investment to just buy one because you are not going to make allot of money with just one.
But it would not hurt if you wanted to try it out by buying one, that is not a bad idea.

There's no guarantee about the price of Bitcoin on that day you expected but for me Bitcoin has the potential to increase as you see on the market how this coin rises it's value every year passes.
But it is not enough if you are going to buy more bitcoins for a long term investment. Because if you are going to depend on that amount. That is really not enough for the effort you are going to wait. So as much as possible you are going to add some capital on it so that when its harvesting time you are going to wait. 1 btc will not give you best profits that you are looking for, as 1 btc is too small amount to hold, you can expect good profits from 1 btc if price goes into millions, which is unlikely to happen. the problem is the price of bitcoin. 1 BTC is too small. maybe if the price of bitcoin $1m, 1 bitcoin is very feasible for long term investment. for now if you want long term investments, at least should have about 50-100 bitcoin. so you will not be futile to wait a long time. Yeah having 50 to 100 btc for future is a good amount to hold, so even if price doesn't reaches to the moon in future, you still have an opportunity to earn good profits. it is right, most people think that in the future the price will rise very high. so they do not hold bitcoin by a huge amount. whereas future is uncertain, so does the price. so it is better if you think of bitcoin prices low in the future, so you will collect more bitcoin for the future. |

You and some other people here that are blind and expecting too much price increase days after halving needs more education. Yes and specially when it comes to long term investment it is a great decision to buy some bitcoins since it will increase considering current halving.
Halving has nothing do with the price increase. If you are expecting a good price increase, expect whales to start another panic to increase the price. Right now they are behave and all price movements today are due to a normal trades. Halving is capable to increase demand and also increasing price of bitcoin as a result, it is a critical point in bitcoin era. |

Lol I think nobody can be certain that bitcoin prices will be higher in 2020 or 2021 although at that time there halvin perhaps when the pump in 2013 and then people think that buying at this time is very appropriate. and they think every year the price will rise. but the reality is not like that |
