amazing, and anyone could tell me why iota is so successful? It is 20X of ico price even it isn't listed on exchanges.   Huh Huh
The ICO was before Ethereum's pump earlier this year, so there was less money flowing into alts at that time. Real price of IOTA is unknown, until it is listed on big exchange.

Probably because it is something completely new. It is not just a copycat like most other alternative coins. Also, there is a lot of rumors for a big deal.

As far what is clear about the BIG DEAL:

It are some big ASIANS player. And they where behind the succes of the Ethereum in ASIA.

This is all what David had to said about it, and he wont reveal names until its funded to prevent abuse of speculators.

But knowing this, we all should hurry the f up, fund the foundation and thereafter fund the big deal.

To all the big fat whales; Probably you all donated a 5 till 10% and probably you guys are mehhh about more donations. But JUST DO IT. your investments value will increase signifintanly if you donate all together another 5 till 10%, yeah its probably worht 5 - 10 BTC what you donate, but the rest of your amount will be worth way more.

It is not about an asian company, but an european one that could conquer asia in a specific sector with a first mover advantage (it was not profitable with transaction costs). cheers iota leaders for that deal ...

Mostly due to partnerships like Microsoft and other big news that hasn't been made public. 20x is nothing, wait 6 months  Smiley

Also, reminder to everyone, please donate to Foundation everyone, need to reach 100%.

I write an introduction to the subject and I need some information. I have six questions.
Would be happy if an expert could answer these questions.
1) What does the percent display next to the "show bundle" mean?
2) What does the figures (XXXX/XXXX) in the status bar at the bottom mean?

1) How is the hash related to the address?
2) What does the single number (0 in image 2) behind the address mean?
3) What does rebroadcast and replay mean?
4) What does the peristence mean?

Hope someone can answer the three unanswered questions. It is better to ask this kind questions on the Slack since the devs are also on the Slack.

1)the percent display next to the "show bundle" means the confirmation status and it is also called persistence. 100% means confirmed. The transactions need to be 100% to be confirmed. But it is ok for the address creation to be 0%.
2)?

1)?
2)?
3)rebroadcast does not do PoW. replay does PoW to propagate your transaction to the tangle.
4)see the first 1)

Anyone figured out how to install IOTA wallet on windows 8.1?

Windows is not recognizing it and deleting it right after opening up the installer.

The new version works perfect  Cool

It installs but it is quickly uninstalled by windows 8.1.  Undecided

After a bit of messing around I finally got it to install, I had to install it with the option of "Run as administrator".
Maybe this will help others with similar issues.  Cool

Windows 10 works fine but when you double click the downloaded Iota wallet setup file (.exe), you have to click "more info" on the prompt, then "run anyway" to start the install. Leave it to Microsoft to continue to make things more complicated.

What do you mean not recognising it and deleting it?

Anyone else have this behavior?

Do you have security settings that don't allow unsigned apps or something?

@tobo:
Thanks for answering three of six questions. Slack or former rocketchat are great platforms indeed. However I think more people which are getting into IOTA and installing the wallet are interested to know what those indicators/features mean. This is why I prefer to ask on BTCT.

I write an introduction to the subject and I need some information. I have six questions.
